Thought we could continue on here? Unless someone has made a different one.

@Scotti84 I know that feeling. I'm working from home, supposed to start at 9am and I've managed to sleep in twice this week so far. My sleep is all over the place just now, yesterday I woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep for thinking about the scan... the constant waking up in the night to pee doesn't help either!

Mamabearwhere · 04/02/2021 08:46

@Hopefulmummie so glad it’s working for you!! They can be a bit hit and miss so it’s great that they’ve had a good affect. I still feel really nauseas and have been off sick from work all week. Spoke to my GP and she’s prescribed me some cyclizine so fingers crossed they work!

Babymamma3 · 04/02/2021 09:29

Hey all can I join , I’m 7weeks+1 day with my first and I have the worst sickness ever !

Scotti84 · 04/02/2021 11:51

@MrsTD88 awful isn’t it! I feel so lazy! Last week I was falling asleep on the sofa at 8pm and sleeping through til about 10am and now I lay awake until about 3am and then can’t be faffed to get up! I’m trying to regulate it but it’s not working 😂

Babymamma3 · 04/02/2021 12:36

I’m completely the same started off super tired and now I fall asleep at like 7pm then up at 3am wide away sleep from 5 to 7 and awake again, same here won’t work for me as well

jellybean13419 · 04/02/2021 13:06

Hi @Babymamma3 your sleep schedule sounds exactly like mine! Sorry you're suffering too. Haven't found anything to help either. Do we reckon this something that passes after first trimester??

MrsTD88 · 04/02/2021 13:21

@Scotti84 @Babymamma3 @jellybean13419 I think it's our body's way of getting us prepared for restless nights and broken sleep when baby arrives... from what I remember with my first, the tiredness eases a bit in the second trimester then hits you like a train in the third when baby is constantly kicking you in the ribs at night 😴

Noodles4Me · 04/02/2021 13:23

Reading all your comments makes me think I'm lucky, barely any sickness, no food aversion, sleep fine (but am tired). Maybe that means a nightmare baby instead!!!

I've enquired about booking the NIPT test for around same week as 12 week scan. I'll see if they can fit me in. Hope all is good with everyone.

FTEngineerM · 04/02/2021 13:30

@MrsTD88 I’m with you there, second trimester last time I didn’t even feel pregnant had a cute lil bump and everything was right with the world then he started booting me from 30 weeks.. still does now he’s out 😂

@Noodles4Me haha I hope not, I think eve try pregnancy is different though even with the same person.

I just had a mooch on the Feb 2021 thread and I’m so excited to get to that point. Babies everywhere and the anticipation Grinargh long year ahead.

I'm with all of you 3am non sleepers! 9 weeks tomorrow and I'm having my worst nausea / tiredness day so far. Hoping I am reaching the peak of it as I'd had some easier days recently.

MrsTD88 · 04/02/2021 15:01

@FTEngineerM loved the second trimester, such a breeze!

Sophiederuges · 04/02/2021 15:14

I just can't fit in my jeans anymore Sad I'm only 7 weeks! My legs and bum are fine, but my stomach is so bloated. I haven't put on any weight either! I'm living in leggings, which is fine during lockdown but has anyone ever used a trousers extender in the their previous pregnancy? I didn't the first time around and used maternity jeans at around 15 weeks but it was summer so I just wore dresses beforehand.

I'm also going to have to firehouse my underwire bras soon as well and they're starting to hurt and they're getting too small. At 7 weeks?

Sophiederuges · 04/02/2021 15:16

@MrsTD88 Ah yes, the second trimester was amazing! Amazing hair, amazing skin, amazing nails and so full of energy! I felt so "womanly" like a kind of nature goddess Grin I don't feel like that right now !

Scotti84 · 04/02/2021 15:35

You’re all giving me hope with the second trimester! It will be a welcome change to see some positive side effects 😂😂

Mamabearwhere · 04/02/2021 15:41

@Sophiederuges I’m only 7 weeks and also can’t fit into my jeans (only tried one to be fair) and am living in leggings and DH’s t shirts. I’ve not put on weight on the scale but definitely filling out into my clothes. My underwears are getting really snug and uncomfortable so have ordered some big cotton pants from m&s. This is my 3rd so I wonder if that has anything to do with how quick I’m getting big, kind of like “pregnancy memory” Blush

jellybean13419 · 04/02/2021 15:58

@Sophiederuges and @Mamabearwhere ohhh the bloat is real isn't it! Not going to lie, definitely did a next day ASOS order for bigger trousers and am 6 weeks 2 days. Best decision ever 😂Like you girls, haven't put any actual weight on either. As you both have had pregnancies before, can I ask if this is something that eases in second trimester? Or is it here to stay?

Equimum · 04/02/2021 16:11

So with you ladies in the 3am club! I actually broke down to DH this morning and said that I don’t think I can go back to the sleepless nights (but late now, I know!). My eldest was a terrible sleeper and I felt like a zombie for the first 18 months!

I am, however, pretty certain that I slept better int he second trimester with my others, so hoping that will be the same again.

MrsTD88 · 04/02/2021 16:19

@Sophiederuges not long to go 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Mamabearwhere · 04/02/2021 16:20

@jellybean13419 funny enough I didn’t have the bloating issue the two previous times so this is very different for me. Everything seems to settle down during the second trimester though so I’m hoping this will too.

@Equimum the fear of sleepless nights is real when you’ve had bad sleepers right? My older dd was horrendous sleeper and never slept through the night until she was almost 3. I still wake up everyday and think I’m mad to be going back to those days but crossing my fingers for a good sleeper this time.

On another random note, anyone’s gums bleeding during toothbrushing? I had it during both previous pregnancies but much much later on! Not at 7 weeks for sure.

Sophiederuges · 04/02/2021 16:21

@Mamabearwhere I'm with you with the big granny pants! I've just bought a pack of big ones 2 sizes too big just so they can fit over my bloated belly: sexy !

@jellybean13419 Well of course tour belly gets bigger but I didn't have any bloating in the second trimester, just a nice baby bump that was a real baby and not gaz and water retention!

@Equimum I thought the same thing re sleepless nights. My first was and still is a great sleeper. I'm due a bad sleeper, aren't I Grin

FTEngineerM · 05/02/2021 14:42

@Sophiederuges 😂 don’t worry we did the ‘looking sexy’ bit to get into this situation, now we can slob 🤷🏽‍♀️

I like your thinking @FTEngineerM Grin

This morning, I received a letter for my midwife appointment. It is starting to feel a bit more real. Though I still don't feel pregnant...

Hopefulmummie · 05/02/2021 17:12

Got my 12 week scan letter today. I'll be 11+2 at it. Has anyone else got theirs?

Equimum · 05/02/2021 17:36

Mamabearwhere so true about the sleep! Our younger one was much easier (although he wasn’t a fantastic sleeper - just better than the first). I’m hoping he hasn’t pulled into a false sense of security as, so far, he has been quite easy and straightforward, whereas number one has been a challenge at every stage (as much as I adore him).

Also, yes, yes to gums bleeding. Mine started bleeding the day before I got the BFP (I thought it was because my period was due).

My scan is on 4/3 when I’ll be 12+1.

I just looked up to check how pregnant Imll be in the scan date, and there a note saying that today I am 21% of the way through pregnancy. Being a fifth of the way there suddenly feels quite exciting!

Mamabearwhere · 05/02/2021 17:42

@Hopefulmummie yes I have my scan for mid feb but I think there’s been an error as i’ll only be around 9 weeks so need to call and check.

@Equimum ah the gum bleeding is a bit weird especially so early on. Having said that I’m getting all the symptoms earlier this time.

Today I am wearing maternity Adidas leggings and I look legit pregnant. My bump is huge for 7 weeks. Im slim and petite and haven’t put on any weight. I’m either going to be the size of a house by 9 months or that most of this is bloat.
