@BL89 finally I am not the last one in the month! Welcome to the thread! I am a FTM as well and I wouldn't say I stalked, but I did follow up on a lot of updates from Dec, and then finally decided to join in Jan! All the lovely ladies here are so helpful! :)
xx

Newmumfeb2021 · 19/01/2021 21:49

@babbit87 absolutely! I am not ashamed of these marks :) and not that I was showing off my tummy earlier (being quite plump lol), but anything to just lighten them a bit :) I used to massage my tummy with baby oil occasionally, but that didn't help I guess..

babydust2412 · 19/01/2021 21:58

Hi @BL89, welcome to the thread and congratulations ❤️😊 xx

babydust2412 · 19/01/2021 22:01

I'm getting what feels like tightenings tonight, my belly feels super tight inside but not necessarily on the outside, what could that be? Xx

Thegirlhasnoname · 19/01/2021 22:10

Just when I think I have cracked a treatment for heartburn, my body seems to change its mind 😩 never have heartburn outside of being pregnant so really looking forward to that going! Even the stuff from the GP doesn’t take the edge off anymore 😭

This baby best have tons of hair!

BL89 · 19/01/2021 22:36

Thanks everyone - I've wanted to join a couple of times before and finally worked up the courage 😊

@Newmumfeb2021 glad I could relieve you of the position 😅😅

It's been a tough journey - I think I definitely romanticised pregnancy and had no idea how hard it would actually be - women are just amazing for what we get through xx

OnNaturesCourse · 19/01/2021 22:39

Okay ladies. I'm practically rolling around in the bath trying to ease discomfort here... But I don't think it's labour.

I feel really sick and kinda like out of body, I was absolutely freezing with quite regular braxton hicks before I came in the bath. The warmth has stopped all that but I have awful ligament/period like aches in my groin, and I keep getting shooting pains IN my pelvic bone at the front. Feel like I need to poop as well but nothing, and I've been three times today 😳

No tightenings now, except baby moving. Awful fullness feeling in my stomach, couldn't stomach dinner etc.

Could this be baby starting to really push down? Would that cause the nausea/fullness feeling?

I think the out of body feeling is because I'm so uncomfy and it's been like this for a few hours, and I'm tired.

@OnNaturesCourse Sounds like your gearing up to labour 🤔
Everyones diffrent so hard to say if it is or not....but i guess your getting close now, might linger on or might just happen.

Safxxx · 19/01/2021 23:07

@Thegirlhasnoname get in touch with your doc again, ask for something stronger for the heartburn. Xx

OnNaturesCourse · 19/01/2021 23:13

I never went naturally with my first so I have no idea.

My first was a induction that went from barely anything to crippled in 5 minutes (after they started the drip on delivery ward)

I had no pain etc until then and I was dilated quite a bit.

True what they say every pregnancy is different!

@OnNaturesCourse your body sure sounds like it’s getting ready! I went food shopping today as it’s forecast for snow and don’t want to be going out in it and I had braxtons all the way in the car I have also had a lot of bowel movements but I’m pretty sure her head is engaged and this is what is causing it

OnNaturesCourse · 19/01/2021 23:29

I always thought an engaged head would block the bowel movements a bit... How wrong was I?! Lol

Safxxx · 19/01/2021 23:30

@babydust2412 Might still be braxton hicks? Or things moving on towards labour 🤔
You and @OnNaturesCourse are showing quite a few symtoms....
Lets see who gets there first. Xxx

Char41zam · 20/01/2021 00:06

@OnNaturesCourse haha all I seem to do is go to the toilet 🙈 plus I constantly feel like her head is pushing against my bladder! The joys

OnNaturesCourse · 20/01/2021 00:22

@Char41zam I've not been too bad with needing a pee that much, thankfully! But I feel like his head is battering both my pelvic bone and tailbone 😣

I had a awfully painful tailbone after my forceps delivery last time so I wonder if it's a old injury kind of thing.

Char41zam · 20/01/2021 00:35

@OnNaturesCourse yes it could be, I don’t think your pelvic bone and back bones are ever are strong after pregnancy, I had spd with my middle daughter and thankfully I didn’t have it with my son or this wee lady but I definitely feel my back and pelvis are sore and crack a lot

babbit87 · 20/01/2021 04:34

@OnNaturesCourse how are you feeling now? Hopefully more comfortable xx

I cant sleep tonight and for once its not my other DC! Really sharp shooting pains in abdomen. Think its round ligament pain but glad I've got my consultant tomorrow ☹

IamC · 20/01/2021 04:52

Joining the 4am club.

My husband and I have been in different rooms recently because Ive been keeping him awake with my constant huffing and puffing all night - restless legs, constant loo breaks and insomnia don't make me a great bed partner. And he was turning into a zombie without sleep.

We tried sharing a bed again tonight and he's sleeping like a baby. Me, not so much....

jbx10 · 20/01/2021 04:53

Been catching up on the thread! @OnNaturesCourse thank you for starting up another one and adding an updated list of due dates. It definitely sounds like your body is getting ready for labour! How are you feeling now?

@babbit87 I'll join your 5am club. Also cannot sleep, headache woke me up and now I feel wide awake! I have my scan on Thursday to determine when I'll
Likely be induced so think that is playing on my mind too. Just hope she's grown well over the past 2 weeks!

@Muriel84 late to the party but congrats on finally getting your moving date! Let's hope baby stays put until then, I'm sure you'll be fine just try not to over do it with the move & take care of yourself 💜

jbx10 · 20/01/2021 04:54

@IamC I was considering sleeping separately as I feel guilty if I'm restless keeping him awake. I've put the TV on & he's still fast asleep so I'm staying put for this evening 😂

Safxxx · 20/01/2021 04:58

@OnNaturesCourse i was wondering will anyone mention pain in tailbone!!
Mine can be quite painful at times 😣
My midwife told me sometimes when baby comes out quite quick it can effect it, so yeah a old injury rises again 😢

babbit87 · 20/01/2021 05:08

Hello 5am people! If we had a spare room my DH would def be in it by now! Poor love has to get up at 6am for work each day. I'm considering giving up tonight and heading downstairs for a cuppa. Pains are now joined by heartburn and acid reflux. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Safxxx · 20/01/2021 05:11

The witching hours lol i'm also can't get back to sleep 😣
@jbx10 hope all goes well in scan and the baby has picked up weight 🤞

I agree were not very good bed buddies, i sometimes hear my hubby groaning or huffing in the night, when i ask him in the morning he says did i? Then blames me for being a bad influence, says your always doing it, now you got me going 🤣🤣🤣

jbx10 · 20/01/2021 05:14

@Safxxx 😂😂 that's made me chuckle!!

I do feel guilty for being restless but then I also think well he'd better get used to interrupted sleep because it'll be a way of life in a few weeks 😂

Safxxx · 20/01/2021 05:23

@jbx10 Most definitely they need to get used to it too, as babies will be waking every 2-4 hrs
We are much quieter then them lol
