So I've got a question which may be silly, I'm 36+1 and baby is still moving regularly so I'm not worried about that but the movements don't feel as strong as they have recently. Is this just down to baby running out of room? Has anyone had a similar experience?

It can be quite normal but you are best getting any movement changes checked out.

With my first the reduced movements was her cord round her neck.
With my second it was just because he was so low down.

I'd definitely give the midwife a call.

I’m due the 10th but also convinced I will be late as ftm and I got put forward 2-5 days at the dating scan (2 days from last bleed but that was an early
mc and 5 days from when I think I ovulated as was using sticks to check).

We can’t all be late tho! I’m tempted to ask for a sweep this week... x x x

OnNaturesCourse · 01/02/2021 09:00

@Char41zam how are you both today? Did you get home?

How is everyone else? Its officially baby month! Sorry for hanging around, I'm excited for baby news 💜

I'm glad we are finally in February so done being pregnant, though I wouldn't be surprised if I ended into March!!

My little one was really painful last night, she had got herself under my lower right ribs in a very awkward position and it felt like she was trying to kick her way out, I think she is just running out of room and trying to get comfortable I'm only small.

I was worried she was moving too much as she didn't stop for 4 hours straight last night but her movement are back to normal this morning.

pampero · 01/02/2021 09:11

@BL89 id ring the midwife just to be on the safe side. I've been in twice for monitoring and both were absolutely fine but doing so put my mind at ease. I'm 37 weeks today and whilst the movement has changed in terms of exactly how it feels over the weeks, id say the activity level has generally remained similar.
Apparently its a myth movements should decrease, so best getting checked out to be reassured i reckon x

pampero · 01/02/2021 09:13

Continued to have cramps about every 30 minutes through the night but no increase in frequency or intensity so think its either mt body pretending or in for a long wait still. Will just keep rolling with it and see what goes, supposed to be working this week still but maybe that's about to change!

babbit87 · 01/02/2021 09:15

@Summertime1992 I also had a night of LO kicking the heck out of me - I felt bruised! All settled down this morning but bump has definitely dropped. Think they are getting ready to exit.

My other 2 LOs have woke up with runny noses and look full of cold so I'm in for a fun last few weeks before baby!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Does movement bring on the pains, or stop them?

I found movement brought on early real contractions, and stopped the BH ones. I walked over 10,000 steps the day before I had my little boy and while walking my contractions were definitely more regular and painful - then they eased when I stopped and rested. I think this helped encourage them.

@Safxxx @pampero @cat709 unfortunately no more signs, just lots more braxton hicks and cramps, but no show or anything yet 😩 x
He really is putting me through it 😂 I just want him out now 😂

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 09:23

Now the time is nearing most of you think you will be late? Come on lets get the positive vibes out so they come early or on time 🤞

@OnNaturesCourse definetely stay tuned you have been part of the journey don't slip away from posts lol. Hows little one? Has your daughter got used to him? Xx

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 09:32

@babydust2412 my 1st was due 17th and came on 15th there is still hope you might have yours by wed 🤞 but if not then all in good time, i know were impatient but its the best place for them no wonder their getting comfortable and in no rush to get out 🤣

pampero · 01/02/2021 09:41

@OnNaturesCourse baby movement makes no difference to the contractions but if I move round the house they're more intense. Maybe I should get out on a walk and see if that moves things along!

IamC · 01/02/2021 09:43

@Safxxx due to the fibroid location, it just wouldn't be possible. It was a tricky section to do, but that was and will be the safest exit in future.

Anyone missing their bump yet? I just put my hand down to give it a good rub and realised it's no longer there. Well I say that, it's just been replaced with squish! I think I'll be in my maternity clothes for a while longer yet!

Summertime1992 · 01/02/2021 09:46

@pampero All sounds like your body is getting itself ready, I have had on off cramps though very mild and not last very long at all, can be the baby pushing downwards?

@babbit87 I think they are too, aww hope your little ones recover quickly

@Safxxx I think its a case of if you set yourself up for the worst possible outcome 5 more weeks instead of 3 for me, then anything less is a bonus, I'm very cynical like that haha

babbit87 · 01/02/2021 09:49

I've definitely caught the lockdown lazies.... a lot less active than I should be. A good walk would probably get things moving but its so cold out I can't motivate myself to go!

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 09:54

@IamC what if fibroid goes away or can't they remove it in future? I'm just curious lol

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 09:59

@Summertime1992 preparing yourself psychologically ehh 🤣 i guess in a way makes sense, lower the expectations and we won't be disappointed 😂
@babbit87 hope your little ones recover soon. I know how you feel i've been stuck indoors feeling very lazy, yesterday felt my legs all crampy so decided to go for a walk, think 45mins and taking baby steps as not to put more pressure on my pelvis, was very cold but walk did me good. Xx

babbit87 · 01/02/2021 10:03

@Safxxx I know, I did try yesterday but pushing a double pushchair it heavy work! Got halfway round my walk and then felt so much low down pressure just wanted to get back home and snuggle on the sofa.

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 10:05

@BL89 no harm in getting checked, it will put your mind at rest. Sometimes its due to position but best be reassured by getting monitored. Xx

IamC · 01/02/2021 10:06

I think they are risky to remove, and a complication could end up in a hysterectomy so I get the impression it's a last resort.

They said if I had any cysts they would remove those though.

Did I mention they also found a second fibroid that hadn't been clocked on any scans?

I guess there's still a possibility they could shrink or degenerate on their own, but they did say that a section would still be needed. In my post birth haze I just accepted that and didn't probe, but something to ask about and get more clarity on I think.

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 10:09

@babbit87 i guess i was hands free but yeah will be harder for you. Maybe wait for hubby and go together. Has your bump increased in size? I remember comparing mine to yours, and recently its had a growth spurt lol its gone bigger and my hips gone wider all in under 2wks, think thats why i've been more achy and uncomfortable lately 😩

Safxxx · 01/02/2021 10:14

@IamC ok i understand now, lets hope it don't affect any future babies. Hows your little one settling? Xx

Char41zam · 01/02/2021 10:18

@Safxxx yep back home, she slept well last night and I managed to get a few hours but the pain wakes me up a lot. Have a missed anyone else having their little ones? Who has had theirs so far? X
