@OnNaturesCourse this happened with my son I went in and was 2cm so they sent me home and I called them back saying that I was positive things had progressed and the mw said I think your just willing it!! I went up anyway and was 6 cm! So she had to eat humble pie and he was born a few hours later x

babydust2412 · 27/01/2021 18:26

I seem to be having some sort of tightenings every 15-20 minutes but nothing super regular or painful so I'm not sure 😩

babbit87 · 27/01/2021 18:35

I remember the sweep I had last time, she said she was going to "do it like she meant it" and she bloody meant it!!..... I'd describe it as my first lesbian experience! 🤣 so exciting that some babies are coming soon 🙂

Muriel84 · 27/01/2021 18:36

@PeachesAndCreamy oh my. So excited for you! Is this your first? Apologies if you’ve already mentioned... can barely remember my own name at the mo.

@jbx10 glad it’s not just me! 😂 I want to know how it decides when to vacate!

Anyone else really clumsy at the mo? I’m pretty clumsy at the best of times but this is something else... currently reducing packing by smashing every other item I pick up! 😂 not to mention knocking stuff with my bump all the time 🙄

babydust2412 · 27/01/2021 18:40

@Muriel84 yes haha I'm so clumsy 😂 always knocking into things with my bump and just stubbed my toes on some rolled up carpet because I couldn't see it under my feet because of the bump 😂😂

SearchingForToes · 27/01/2021 19:00

@Muriel84 I keep shutting bump in the fridge... baby’s way of telling me to eat less?! Keep tripping over the (very underfoot) dog too. And she likes to leave tennis balls right by my feet in case I feel like a game of fetch...

jbx10 · 27/01/2021 20:32

@Muriel84 😂 hope the move is going well. I still can't believe I only have 3 and a bit weeks until my due date. Just want to finish work now and put my feet up!

@IamC how are you doing? Is it your big day tomorrow? X

IamC · 27/01/2021 21:14

@jbx10 yep it's d day tomorrow. Nerves have well and truly set in.

Summertime1992 · 27/01/2021 21:18

Hi can I join, was on a very early forum but have had such a busy few months wasn't able to keep up, finally finished work now.

I'm due my first baby, which is a girl on 23rd February, can't wait now and need some distraction to keep me sane.

I am always clumsy so nothing new there, but have found myself just being a little absent minded. I have gone to put salt in the fridge and nearly threw the oven mitts in the bin instead of the draw, and getting very emotional at any slight sad or happy story.

OnNaturesCourse · 27/01/2021 21:26

Feeling super emotional tonight so can totally relate to the PP about that. Wondering if it's my hormones super ramped up now things are, hopefully, moving along. For example I went into DC1s room for something and left with tears in my eyes because 1, they are staying with grandparents tonight just in case and I feel like I have had to push them out already because of baby and 2, because they arent going to be my baby any more and that kinda scares me that all of a sudden they are a big kid which then makes me sad that this baby is going to grow up just as quickly.

Eugh, hormones.

@IamC I can imagine, just think you will have baby in your arms before you know it. Plus bet you can't wait to get home and sleep in your own bed! Do they give you a time Xx

@Summertime1992 welcome to the thread. Your due date is day after mine 😇 my baby brain has truly kicked in. I've given up even trying to keep track of even what day it is now 😂

Muriel84 · 27/01/2021 22:22

@babydust2412 glad it’s not just me! @SearchingForToes shutting your bump in the fridge made me lol! 🤣. Move is going well thanks @jbx10 feeling a bit more positive about it after a moving a load of stuff over this eve.

@OnNaturesCourse sorry you’re feeling so emotional. It’s a very emotional time!

@IamC super exciting it’s Thursday tomorrow. You must have been going mad on that ward all these days! X x x

IamC · 27/01/2021 22:39

@jbx10 no time, but told because of the gestational diabetes I'll be high on the list. Husband told to arrive in the 'dads lounge' at 7am, so hopefully it'll be early doors and he won't be waiting around for hours too

Safxxx · 27/01/2021 23:30

Seems my nesting has kicked in after all, been at it all day, now my poor bump is hard and painful.....so just catching up on posts...
@OnNaturesCourse excited 4 u, hope all goes to plan, and being emotional about your little one is quite normal, don't worry you all will adapt to the changes Xxx
@IamC Good luck for tmro hope all goes well 🤞
@MissKhan1990 how come you lost weight? Are you not eating properly or get sickness?

pampero · 27/01/2021 23:32

Out of interest has any one or is anyone planning to harvest colostrum?

Char41zam · 27/01/2021 23:39

@OnNaturesCourse how are your contractions coming along? I think this is a really emotional time and you will also be extra emotional as your labour progresses, I felt that same way when I had my 2nd and 3rd as you feel like you won’t have the same time for them but it will all settle down when baby is here and you get into a routine x

Safxxx · 27/01/2021 23:59

My bump don't make me clumsy but i've got butter fingers always dropping things and somtimes breaking them 😣
Also getting brain fog 😩

babydust2412 · 28/01/2021 00:09

I'm having lots of period like cramping that's definitely got worse, no proper tightenings to speak of yet, could this be early labour? x

Muriel84 · 28/01/2021 00:11

@babydust2412 sounds like it could be. Are they coming in waves? Can you time them? The Freya app has been recommended to me by lots of people to help time contractions. X x x

IamC · 28/01/2021 00:18

@pampero I tried and failed the week leading up to the planned induction. However when the plan changed to c section, I stopped as it can bring on labour and we need the baby to stay in until tomorrow.

I'd say allow ample time as it might not work straight away. We felt we were heading in the right direction, and a few more days and we'd have got some.

Good luck if you do try it!

babydust2412 · 28/01/2021 00:31

@Muriel84 they're almost constant to be honest, but I'm much more uncomfortable than usual and can't seem to lay or sit down I just want to be up and moving 😩

Safxxx · 28/01/2021 02:23

@babydust2412 Awe hope this turns out to be labour for you 🤞

babbit87 · 28/01/2021 03:39

Oh its nice to see im not the only one awake in the middle of the night. Cant get comfortable - hips aching, lower back pain, cramping and aching all down my legs. Not in waves, its constant so I think its more likely I also over did it yesterday with the cleaning than anything else. Last week wfh then then isolation & mat leave begin!

babbit87 · 28/01/2021 03:40

@babydust2412 how are you getting on?

Char41zam · 28/01/2021 03:54

I’m awake also! Total insomnia I have had so little sleep in this last few days between braxtons and heartburn and also lack of movement today but she is moving just now
