@OhTheHeartBurn your post about the sponge is whats made me post on here. I actually have been totally unable to resist sort of chewing on a clean but wet bathroom sponge such a weird craving and I haven't admitted it to anyone in real life! So thanks for making me feel a bit better!

Coming home clothes...Don't anyone do what I did for DC2 which was go in at 10am in the autumn sunshine in a maternity dress and sandals as I was boiling after labouring at home and then freeze coming home at night not having packed anything else!

For coming home I've packed my maternity leggings and a baggy sweatshirt just for pure comfort xxx

@OnNaturesCourse thats my exact worry about going into hospital for ANYTHING this close to due date. Terrified ill have to stay in without DH. I have got to go again on Friday for another GTT, really hope its not GD....

@BL89 my home clothes will be what I've been living in throughout this pregnancy, leggings and an oversize jumper. Comfort all the way!

@OnNaturesCourse yes it's so frustrating! Having period cramping all morning today yet no tightenings to accompany it so I have no idea whether that could turn into something or not 😩 I'm 39 weeks today and very ready for him to come out and meet us now xx

I feel for a few of you who are showing some signs but not getting there.
My baby is chilling not even engaged so i'm not worried yet, then again your more closer to your due dates i'm not.
Can't believe its already 27th Jan, days are flying by.

I think I’ve been having period type cramp and back ache (so hard to remember what it feels like!) and had some egg white type discharge yesterday and today but not a big plug of it as such. Not any pains though. Got my 38 week midwife check up today so hoping she can offer some insight

Are you all seeing your midwifes every week now or once in 2 wks?
I got my 36wk appt tmro, but if i can recall after 36wks its once a week?

Had appointment at 37 weeks yesterday and one booked for 2 weeks time, was told not every week because of covid. Hoping baby will be here before then!

I seen my midwife around 35 weeks and no further appointment until next week when I'll be 38+ weeks. But my experience with the local team hasn't been great so wouldn't base anything off that

Me too, and sciatic pain is unreal too... Couldn't even make DC bed this morning. Got lots of tight feelings where baby is rubbing against my belly but no contraction like feelings. Do have a massive stabbing pains in my groin and upper legs when moving tho. I genuinely look like Ozzy Osborne shuffling around today lol.

Going to call midwife unit if it's not eased up by lunchtime as while baby is moving its not doing its usual kicking the daylights out of me... But that could be down to me having a slow morning with the pain.

@Safxxx I saw my midwife yesterday for my 36 week appointment and she booked me back in for two weeks time?

My baby is on his way down but is still only 5/5 for engagement so I'm not worried that he'll be coming anytime soon

I've got my 36 week app today, I have asked her to do it over the phone as we are trying to isolate now where possible. Just waiting for her to call! I think she will book me in again in 2 weeks as I have another growth scan next week x

@safxxx I think I'm the same as some others. Have a 36 week appt this week and think I saw my next one is then supposed to be at 38 weeks. I did see it go weekly at some point, can't remember if it was after 38 or if you hit 40.

@Safxxx mine are 2 weeks at the mo but just checked my notes and it says one at 40 and 41 if I go over

I'll see tmro what she books ahead but i'm guessing due to covid won't be weekly like it used to be. I also got a growth scan next week.
My bladder is getting weaker by the day tired of these toilet runs Specialy when it feels so full but when i go only abit comes out 🙄 its all that pressure on it.

@Safxxx same!! Feeling like I'm busting to go for a wee then there's just hardly anything 🤦🏽‍♀️ these babies growing and squishing our bladders!

My appointments are every two weeks, next one is 2 days after my due date, so next Friday 💕 xx

I have seen my mw twice! It’s actually so shocking the lack of local care I have had, I was asked to contact her for repeat bloods to check my anaemia 2 weeks ago and I did, no reply! When I am at the hospital tomorrow I’m going to mention the lack of care I have had and how it’s really not acceptable she basically has never bothered with me because I am under the hospital which is 20 miles away and she is 3 miles away so it would have saved me a lot of travelling for certain things if she had bothered with me.

I’m 38 weeks today and no signs to suggest anything is going on... I think I’ll go over 40 weeks. I have been distracted by an awful lot going on this week though. Have also been very active which hasn’t started anything off!

I have my 38 week check tomorrow. The next one will be at 40 weeks. X x x

@Char41zam so shocked at the lack of care you have received! It's really not on and I don't blame you for raising it with the hospital at your next appointment. To have seen your MW twice throughout your pregnancy is just not right. Appreciating some services have had to be reduced the basics should be there & we should all be supported. How many weeks are you now? X

Did anyone get their due date moved forward a lot at their 12 week scan? I got moved forward 2 days from my LMP, but my last bleed had actually been a v early miscarriage. I was monitoring with ovulation sticks and think I ovulated about 2 weeks 3 days later which would give me a due date around the 16th feb rather than 10th. I know it doesn’t make much difference as the baby will come when it wants but was just thinking I could have 3 more weeks at least... x x x
