@jbx10

Has anyone thought about what they're going to do about family members meeting baby once their here? Will you be letting family come and meet them? It just seems so sad to not let them meet any family xxx
I've decided not to let any family meet them. I'm not happy taking the risk. It will let me get adjusted as well.
Safxxx · 26/01/2021 16:04

I'm i the only one craving mint chocolate ice creams lol
Mint ice cream, mint magnum, mint connetto etc 🤣

jbx10 · 26/01/2021 16:40

@Safxxx that's not a bad craving to have! To be honest I feel like I'm just eating anything at the moment constantly eating

Safxxx · 26/01/2021 17:22

@jbx10 but sometimes i regret it, as it can make my heartburn worse 🙄
I say i crave it but i hardly get to eat it as kids take them lol.
I can't eat constantly as i get bloated or get heartburn. I had my breakfast before 9am had only a snack earlier, Now just made some rice with fish & veg.
Think my little one is still squashing my stomach 😣

jbx10 · 26/01/2021 17:27

@Safxxx oh no that's not great sounds uncomfortable! I've been really lucky not to suffer any heartburn so far 🤞🏽 hope it stays that way.
Oh I kind of wish I was feeling squished might stop me being greedy 😂feel like I'm eating more now than I have throughout my pregnancy!

Safxxx · 26/01/2021 18:14

@jbx10 i go thru phases, don't get me wrong when i'm not feeling squished or have no heartburn, i too scoff my face with anything & everything lol.
So i know how you feel 🤣 i guess my baby is controlling my calories by keeping my stomach compressed other times 😂😂

pampero · 26/01/2021 18:19

@jbx10 I snack all day long, you're not alone! Haha

Not had any super cravings really either, I mean always fancy a sweet treat but that's me of a normal day 🤣 Trying to be good and not give in to overloading on the sugar and eating some good stuff as well!

babydust2412 · 26/01/2021 18:22

I've craved sweet foods through my whole pregnancy! Haribos, chocolate, the lot 😂 and Taco Bell! That's been my biggest craving by far 😂 xx

pampero · 26/01/2021 18:22

@Missohan1990 we haven't really discussed the holding of the baby by others, but are in the position where we live a few hours from family so no one will meet baby until lockdown eases a bit anyway.

When the time comes that we do see others ill think we'll probably play it by ear & dependent on risk - if its someone who isn't overly exposed probably let them hold, but in other cases if someone's much more open to exposure frequently maybe limit it a bit more. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer, I think its just going with what you're comfortable with & maybe a bit situation dependent.

jbx10 · 26/01/2021 20:15

@pampero @babydust2412 @Safxxx glad I'm not the only one 😂 currently scoffing a bag of Percy pigs whilst watching trash TV and bouncing on my birthing ball - a sight for sore eyes 😂

I've been buying loads of fruit and veg to help with my snack cravings through the day at least if i try snack on fruit most of the time I don't feel as guilty!

OnNaturesCourse · 26/01/2021 20:34

I know we were speaking about rock solid bumps the other day but has anyone had pain / discomfort with it as well? It's not BH or contractions as it's not easing up, it's just a constant tightness and ache like intense period pain.

I'm away for a warm bath to try ease it off but if no luck I'm considering calling L&D ward for advice.

@OnNaturesCourse that’s how my “Braxton hicks” started off and then I had a baby by the end of the night 😂

We’ve gone for the name Isaac and I’m super surprised that I’ve already been discharged from hospital after 24 hours given I had what was technically an emergency section. He’s so squeaky and a very good eater which worked for me as he passed his post GD sugar tests with flying colours

I’m going to stick around to see all the other babies fly in.... even if my Feb baby was overeager and wanted out in January 😂

Due February 2021 - Part 3 - Final countdown!
Bambino87 · 26/01/2021 21:08

Sooo adorable & beautiful name! Congratulations xxx

Char41zam · 26/01/2021 21:16

@Thegirlhasnoname he is adorable xx

Piccalily19 · 26/01/2021 21:37

@Thegirlhasnoname he is so cute 😍 love the name too! Congrats again and glad all went well for you 🙂

pampero · 26/01/2021 21:49

Cute pic!

BL89 · 26/01/2021 21:57

@Thegirlhasnoname he is absolutely perfect! How sweet that he couldn't wait to meet you 🥰
Love the name, it's actually our top boy name xx

BL89 · 26/01/2021 21:58

What's everyone wearing for the journey home from hospital - I've got no idea what to pack so I've resorted to just not packing a going home outfit 💁🏻‍♀️

Safxxx · 26/01/2021 22:56

@Thegirlhasnoname Awe bless him hes a little cutie ❤ i hope the rest of us are out as quick as you, i rather not stay longer then necessary. But you had emergency section, that is a quick discharge. Rest well and hope you recover soon Xxx

Safxxx · 26/01/2021 22:59

@BL89 just pack something comfortable and warm, your maternity clothes will still be needed something loose and comfy will be ideal. Xx

Safxxx · 26/01/2021 23:03

@OnNaturesCourse the other day my bump stayed hard for the whole day and into the night it was quite uncomfortable. I put it down to he's position not BH.
As your closer to your due date best you get advice specially as you had a big leak the other day. Xx

OnNaturesCourse · 26/01/2021 23:14

What a gorgeous little boy, and I love his name - it's actually on our list of possiblities! Congrats again 💙

The pain I had has eased off, but I'm still a bit tender when walking etc. Feels more muscle related now however so I suspect I've overdone my pregnancy yoga/workout and walking.

I'm petrified of going into the hospital to get checked and being kept in for monitoring or induction (which was what happened with my first) as DP won't be able to stay this time. My anxiety is threw the roof with this worry.

@Thegirlhasnoname he's a beaut! Good to hear you were out quickly, espesh with the gd tests etc.

Char41zam · 26/01/2021 23:22

@BL89 I have packed a pair of loose trousers and a top I have been wearing through my pregnancy I will also wear a cardi to the hospital to keep cosy

OnNaturesCourse · 27/01/2021 01:19

My coming home outfit is tracksuit bottoms, a maternity top, trainers and massive hoodie / whatever jacket I wore going in. Pretty much how I've looked for the past 9 months lol.
