@IamC it is ridiculous how the advice you have received has changed from one doctor to another. Sorry you have to stay in but it definitely sounds like that's the safest option for you & baby. Definitely get DH to drop you some bits to keep you occupied as well as some ear plugs! Thursday will soon be here, in the meantime moan away in the group we are all here for support Xx

@IamC wow another u-turn! That’s terrible! Has the consultant who said you were ok to be induced come to talk to you? At least this expert fibroids obstetrician sounds like they know what they’re doing! X x

@Piccalily19 I think i recall your user name too...welcome back, trapped wind can be so painful i had it last night, i couldn't turn in bed had to get hubby to push me on my side 🤣🤣 went and got some peppermint tea today, that usually helps with bloating.Xx

@Safxxx nope she is staying put! 🤣I had a nice long bath last night and got into bed early, when I got out the bath I still had a bit of a show but nothing much today still have a back ache and I can feel her head is right down now it’s ouchee! Not long back from Asda and it was a waddle fest walking round I don’t think she will be to long and I reckon when I have hospital on Thursday that may just start me off!

@babydust2412 that’s good news! I thought bub might’ve engaged at my 36 week apt as everything had shifted lower and indigestion got so much better, but apparently not! Haven’t got another until 39 weeks; DC1 was out by then 😂

Hope all of you lovelies with pre-labour signs get a good sleep tonight!

@SearchingForToes usually 2nd or more engage later then the first ones.
I'll be 36wks on sunday, and mine is nestled in the bottom/middle of tummy
I hope he don't engage till the very last minute or else my pelvic will give me agonising pains.

@IamC so sorry for you. Hope you’re feeling okay despite being locked up! It’s all for the better 🍀 Please keep your mind distracted by watching Netflix, etc. And listening to music anything that will keep you calm 😊💜

I’ve been having really bad and long braxton hicks since early evening. So uncomfortable. No pain in abdomen but backache is sooo bad 😭 ☹️

@IamC I came on to see how you're getting on - sorry that you've got to stay in for a week, it's even more unfair not being able to have your DH with you. The inconsistencies at the different Trusts is really frustrating isn't it? I hope you manage to keep busy and are able to stay comfortable. Keep us updated xx

@Safxxx yes I’ve heard that - just weird as there was a definite noticeable downward shift with this one; with my first I didn’t notice any difference once engaged! Think they like to keep us on our toes 😂

Thanks everyone, I have made it to bedtime without a nap so hoping I can sleep tonight. I didn't get any sleep last night with all the nerves and excitement.

Trying to think positive thoughts to make the time go faster (and praying for a cancellation in case they can get me in earlier).

@SearchingForToes nothing is helping atm. I’ve tried to sit, lie down on sofa ,chair, bed. Tried to walk around the house but it’s making me more uncomfortable. ☹️ Trying to distract myself with music.

@Safxxx just a bean chilli! Been quite active this eve too, but nothing like last nights thrashing about.

@Newmumfeb2021 have you tried having a bath? Or tens machine? I’m spending ages in the bath each day. It’s where I’m most comfortable.

@Newmumfeb2021 Awe hope it eases off and you get some rest. A bath and a hot water bottle might help take edge off. Get your partner to rub your back. How many weeks are you? Xx

Pregnancy insomnia is the worst! @IamC can’t be great with that noise either, did you pack headphones or ear plugs?

Got headphones not ear plugs. Earplugs going on the list to the Mr for when he visits tonight.

Also considering requesting a transfer to one of the sister trust hospitals if it means I don't have to lie in a bed until Thursday. But doubt I'll see a doctor until Monday now, so may have to sit on that request for a couple days.

@IamC oh god there’s always one. They may have crappy foam ear plugs on the ward, could ask the midwives? I use quies wax ones which are really good. I’m a light sleeper can’t even bear sound of my partner breathing. Bodes well for arrival of baby 😆x x x

@Muriel84 that's made me chuckle - I'm pretty sure a baby will pierce through your earplugs in a way your husbands breathing doesn't 😂

Went to bed at midnight because l couldn't sleep any earlier. Even when l was asleep, l felt alert.

All l think about is how painful the labour is going to be , l've stupidly scared myself watching all sorts!!
