@AlRRRR can't tell. But I do have a front placenta so midwife said it might take a while for me

AlRRRR · 14/02/2021 12:05

@Fightingtobepositive When is your next colonoscopy? Did they say what they saw, I have the erosion of the cervix, it showed as a white bit and only bled after sex years ago, Have never had it checked again.

I know you must be so scared right now but at least you have another booked in and already had one dr look at it, what else are you frightened it could be? x

AlRRRR · 14/02/2021 12:09

@Fightingtobepositive, sorry, I pressed post before I’d finished!

I know that Cervical erosion is quite common in pregnancy as all the hormones are crazy etc! My advice is step away from google, close everything off, go for a walk, watch TV, have a bath, cook, bake, anything to get your mind away from it! Take deep breathes every time you revert to worrying, and carry on what you were doing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fightingtobepositive · 14/02/2021 12:16

@AIRRRR thank you 💜 it’s a colposcopy to look at the cervix. I’m worried it could be the worst 😕 I just can’t stop worrying what will happen during pregnancy. I’ve read erosions are common and would be completely fine if that was what it is. It’s just the constant need for another opinion that is completely freaking me out, everyone just keeps sending me to someone else 😕 I thought it would
Just be an easy diagnoses of erosion/ectropion but it’s not looking that way with the need for others opinions xx

AlRRRR · 14/02/2021 12:31

Hrm, maybe as you said it’s a severe one, made worse by pregnancy, which is why they want to double double check! Until you know any different, it’s cervical erosion and that’s it, when is your next appointment? ❤️❤️

AlRRRR · 14/02/2021 12:45

@Fightingtobepositive Did you have it before pregnancy or has it started during this one x

Scarftown · 14/02/2021 13:06

@Fightingtobepositive
I understand your concern. However. If you are all up to date on your smear tests and nothing has been raised previously and no symptoms apart from now you are pregnant then I would assume it’s pregnant related cervical erosion. People are checking it out. No one is ignoring it so if it is worst than that then be reassured they are dealing with.

Fightingtobepositive · 14/02/2021 18:48

@AIRRRR I had ivf and the doctor has said she noticed it on embryo transfer 🙁 she didn’t say at the time. She said what she saw was an ectropion 🙏🤞

@Scarftown thank you. I did have spotting and pelvic pain before pregnancy. I was referred for a laparoscopy which I had last March. Which diagnosed endometriosis. I carried on having spotting but when I went to the doctors it was peak covid and she said probably down to the endo 😣 I just can’t help thinking was I to accepting that everything was blamed on endo and should I have kept on 😣 xx

I'm curious as to whether anyone has developed shortness of breath? I think I caught a headcold yesterday when walking out in the park but have since been struggling to feel like I've drawn full breaths even though I draw as I would normally Hmm I've ordered a Corona test as it actually feels like flu.. even normally just sitting down today has been a bit of a weird struggle, I'm hoping its a pregnancy thing where everything is squished

Fightingtobepositive · 14/02/2021 19:33

@Nesski my do for mentioned this to me at some point and said to expect breathing difference due to everything being pushed up. But always best to get checked xx

Fightingtobepositive · 14/02/2021 19:49

lucieloos · 14/02/2021 20:30

@Nesski yes I've had it with all 3 babies. It happens as they start to get bigger and everything in your body moves upwards and pushes against your diaphragm and compresses your lungs somewhat as well meaning you can't take in as much air. Not nice but completely normal. I can't walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath.

Nesski · 14/02/2021 20:53

Thank you @Fightingtobepositive, I have a big ass fibroid that sits just by my ribs now, was hoping this breathing thing wouldn't have happened until a bit later!

brownie100 · 15/02/2021 10:49

Hi, has anyone received their MATB1 form? I'm not sure who issues it and I know work will soon be chasing for it? Smile

Mackie2020 · 15/02/2021 11:00

@brownie100 My midwife said she'd give me the MATB1 at my 25 week appointment. Work hasn't chased me for it yet.

PinkPlantCase · 15/02/2021 11:18

@brownie100 and @Mackie2020 the policy at my work is that you have to give them your MATB1 form and formally notify them of your intention to take mat leave 15 weeks before your due date.

I don’t know if that’s over and above what’s needed legally but check your policy at work! I had my form from the midwife at 20 weeks

Edelweiss2020 · 15/02/2021 11:29

I was given my form at 20 week scan, was meant to have my regular work risk assessment last week but they've moved it so I'll be giving it in then.

Also struggling occasionally with shortness of breath or as I keep telling my husband 'the baby is stealing my air' haha.

BlondePotter · 15/02/2021 11:46

I've just booked my 25 week appt with GP next Tues so will be chasing AGAIN for my MAT1B as I'm also supposed to upload it by 25 weeks

Sitchervice · 15/02/2021 13:51

I'm being chased for mine. My work place is stressing me right out. I think they are trying to push me out the job because they can't get rid of me whilst pregnant. It would look wrong 😩

Snally82 · 15/02/2021 14:49

Getting it at 24 weeks app’ - a little close to the deadline!

Nesski · 15/02/2021 15:10

My midwife told me to get it at my 20 week scan from the hospital so it was pretty straightforward.

@Sitchervice the form is just to prove you're telling the truth about being pregnant and confirming the EDD, if this is what's stressing you out then please don't. And then, if there are other factors that are making you feel like they are trying to push you out then just ignore them because they can't!!

AlRRRR · 15/02/2021 15:23

My midwife is giving me mine at 26 wk appointment, I wasn’t aware there was a deadline 😂😂😂

Jinglebells87 · 15/02/2021 18:39

I'm not getting mine until my 28 week appointment! Luckily my boss is chilled out. I've already told him when I'm taking my maternity leave so not a huge deal really.

brownie100 · 15/02/2021 19:35

Thanks everyone. It seems I don't need to worry quite as much as I thought then. I just like to be prepared.

Firsttimeconcerns · 15/02/2021 20:41

Hello everyone, I am looking into online antenatal classes. I am a first time mum so don't know the basics. Can anyone advise?? Thanks
