There’s a FB group?

reservoircats · 12/02/2021 08:48

@Happy2be please could you send me the link to the Facebook group?

Snally82 · 12/02/2021 08:51

I’m not on the group, but if it active there could someone please send me the link?

Just watching an American webinar that says the traditional method of pelvic floor exercises is totally outdated... I swear pregnancy and birth is a minefield!!

Emmie12 · 12/02/2021 08:53

Could I be added to the FB group too? Thank you

PinkPlantCase · 12/02/2021 08:57

@lucieloos I’m guessing we’re just in a bit of a lul now that most people have had their 20 week scans.

Have any of you been watching birth videos? I don’t mean the cutesy influencer birth storey ones, the ones that literally show a baby coming out. I had a binge last weekend and learnt a lot!

I’ve also found the free birth society podcasts really useful. I don’t think I’d have an unassisted free birth or anything but it’s really good at normalising birth, and good to hear lots of different stories of how people managed naturally during labour.

Happy2be · 12/02/2021 08:58

@rvms @reservoircats if you guys send me a private message with your email address ill send the link over via email for Facebook x

Happy2be · 12/02/2021 08:59

@Snally82 @Emmie12 if you send me your email address through private message i can send the invite link via email x

Scarftown · 12/02/2021 09:09

@lucieloos. I agree with a PP. I think it’s just the lull after a lot of 20 week scans. I know for me personally I was the same for the 12 week. That reassured made me feel good and happy with how my pregnancy went. I was obsessively googling less and then the further away that was and the 20week scan I became more anxious and had 101 questions and needed the support again. Hehe.

I haven’t started buying yet either. I want to but I want to see things in a shop not just online. Don’t know if I am being unrealistic but I’ll start in a few weeks hopefully.

BlondePotter · 12/02/2021 10:08

I'm nearly 24 weeks and yeah, since scan it feels like nothing really happens except continuing to feel baby move more and more ☺️ next will be 25 week appt when the GP lets me actually book in 👀 can only do a week in advance apparently.... Which I understand for illness but I'm going to be 25 weeks pregnant regardless of how far in advance I book it!

Sitchervice · 12/02/2021 11:46

Can I be added to fb group.
Had growth scan today (Most pre birth photographed baby ever) I have notching not sure what that means but I get more scans. Iove seeing him so as long as everything going OK can't complain

Opticabbage · 12/02/2021 15:45

I'm just quiet because otherwise all my posts would be aaaaah my hip/back/bum etc hurts!

Nesski · 12/02/2021 15:48

I don't have Facebook so please don't leave meeeeeeee!

LBee2020 · 12/02/2021 16:04

I'm still here! I've not bought a single thing either at 21 weeks. I really want to go to shops to do some of it. I'm also trying to avoid filling my office (which wont become nursery until I stop working) with boxes! I'm very excited to start though and spend a lot of time googling products and giving up because it's all so overwhelming. I cant even decide on a pram!

Sitchervice · 12/02/2021 16:11

@LBee2020 husbands like why do we need to buy stuff now! We arnt even close to due date. So I'm banned from buying stuff. Pram is stuck at my mums who lives 3 hours away. I'm not worried I'm not going to beable to get it before he's born due to fing covid

swiftt · 12/02/2021 16:32

The FB group is really active, but I’m still here too! I’ve bought loads already. Blush pram, car seat, nursery furniture set, bouncer, nursing chair, waaaay too many clothes. It’s just so much fun, I can’t help myself!

Tatty1987 · 12/02/2021 17:17

Hello all, so I had my 20 weeks scan on Monday and they said I had a low lying posterior placenta - it’s not on the cervix just near (maybe 1.4 cm away). I’ve had a read up online and found loads of conflicting information, has anyone else had this and if so were they you told no exercise/ sex?
I’ve left a message for my midwife but waiting on her getting back to me. The sonographer didn’t seem too concerned and just booked me in for another scan at 36 weeks.

spence93 · 12/02/2021 17:38

@Tatty1987 hi, I was told the same last week and spoke to my midwife who said there's nothing that needs to be done differently, the only thing to be mindful of is that if there's any bleeding it would likely be caused by the placenta and to go straight to hospital. I also read on a nhs trust website that 199 out of 200 woman who have it at the 20 week scan have it move up by their next scan Smile

Haha I'm the same! Got the travel system, high chair, crib and Moses basket, play mat, nursing chair, clothes......now have struggled with space for storing everything 😂😂😂😂😂
Tatty1987 · 12/02/2021 17:48

@spence93 thanks for that Smile I had assumed that they would’ve told me if I had any restrictions but doctor google had the better of me. Hopefully my midwife will call me back on Monday and say the same. Fingers crossed they move! Are you having another scan at 36 weeks too?

Mackie2020 · 12/02/2021 18:14

I'm staying here too, & won't be joining the FB group.
24 weeks here & haven't bought a thing! I think I've narrowed down on the travel system, & will probably recycle furniture for the nursery. I don't want to buy clothes until I'm later on, in case I'm given any indication of baby's size. I also keep telling myself it's too early to buy anything!

swiftt · 12/02/2021 18:53

@Waitingforbabypage I’m going to be moving in a couple of months - now regretting buying so much already! I just love looking at it all hahaha. Makes it feel real I think! X

@Tatty1987 I know I couldn't find much info on it to be honest. In my trust I get a scan at 32 weeks and if it hasn't moved I get another at 36 weeks. Fingers crossed!!

Sitchervice · 12/02/2021 20:26

@Happy2be

The email address I apparently have on fb is an old one. Is there another way?

Happy2be · 12/02/2021 20:52
