Hey all,

I know this is bit of a long shot, but is anyone due in March 2021?

I appreciate everyone is from different places, but are there a few ladies that want to create a WhatsApp group or something so we can be “cyber mum friends”?

I know being a mum (or a first time mum in my case) can be very daunting and a scary time, and not only that, but it can be quite lonely.. so it’s be great if a few people would like to become “online friends” so we can just talk and have company/share experiences/worries/how bored they are Hmm

@Mahdia we do too in Bedfordshire, annoyingly. I enjoy going for a walk with the kids on their lunch break but my husband is at work and I’m under strict instructions not leave the house in case I fall over as I’m a bit like a weeble now 🙈 my first was induced at 37 weeks due to my waters going and then my second was 2 days overdue. I just can’t stand the thought of doing this for another 5 weeks, I’m so flaming uncomfortable 😫

alc123 · 08/02/2021 15:49

Hey I know I'm late to the party... due 29th march but I think they've got my dates out by about 10days - I'm MASSIVE. Currently transverse and she's been like that for a month... I don't think she's moving anytime soon. Scan tomorrow for kidney functions so I'm hoping they can tell me if she is stuck!

Squellyolwelly · 08/02/2021 18:36

Has anyone else experienced leg cramping right at the very top of their legs on the front/inside? I keep getting it multiple times in a row regardless of whether I’m standing or walking, only seems to stop if I’m sitting 😫

MForMed · 09/02/2021 14:47

@Squellyolwelly Yes, I've had a lot of leg cramps, from both sides, thighs as well, which is something I had never experienced before PG, but only when I lie down. Spoke to a MW who says it's completely normal and should go away after delivery and there's nothing that can be done about it Sad. Dr sent me for blood test (electrolytes level), the results I got weren't quite right but I haven't spoken to anyone since.
Perhaps your MW or GP will be more helpful? I hope you're at the end of your pregnancy like me so not long to suffer through.

@alc123 welcome to the March forum! I hope your scan went well today. Can they make your little girl move?

Squellyolwelly · 09/02/2021 18:16

@MForMed I half expected it to be completely normal! 😫 I’m 34 weeks thursday so not too long, and I finish work next Friday. I work in mental health in the community though so it’s the taking people out for walks that will be the main issue. I think most of next week I’m office based so won’t be so bad! I see midwife Thursday so I’ll mention it just incase and if they suggest anything I’ll let you know!

Mahdia · 10/02/2021 10:48

Hi all!! Hope everyone is doing well. 😃 i had a midwife appointment yesterday and coz baby's heartbeat date was above the margin i.e 160 she sent me for ctg monitor to my hospital. It was so surreal coz it felt scary I was thinking what if they keep me in or what if they do a emergency c section, I'm nowhere ready!!!Confused
I was in monitor for a whole hour and I kept peeping at the CTG monitor kkkkk like a naughty person (they turn it away from you for a reason I think so you don't get anxious)
The hr was showing numbers like 120s all the way up to 181but the Toco percent (later i found out its the contraction monitor) was going from 5 to 23 which was showing strong braxton hicks (not painful but uncomfortable 😐).
They said sometimes if tge baby's heartbeat is high above 160 in can be that it may have infection or is dehydrated. In my case I've been vomiting bitter liquid (sorry tmi Confused)
So I don't drink too much water like some days only two glasses of water other days a litre. Some good days 2 litre (rarely)
So came back home 1 hr and half later told everything looks good but no other advice given. I had to ask and ask.
Hope noone goes through going back and forth to hospital before their labour. Everyone had to wear the whole ppe: Apron and gloves and facemask.

Quick question do you have to have a coving test even if you're in the middle of labour 🤔 it just seems difficult when you are fighting the pain of labour and someone poking your nose and down your throat!!Hmm

Have a lovely day ladies xxx mahdia

KB13 · 10/02/2021 11:10

I had the same after my 34 week appointment @Mahdia it’s such a scary experience. I was shaking all the way home from my midwife appointment until I got to the hospital and they said it was all ok. From what I have read you do have to have a covid test when you go in.

How’s everyone else doing? I was woken up twice last night with painful braxton hicks but only around the bottom half of my stomach and back and this morning I have horrible lower back ache. I’m 37 weeks tomorrow so really hoping this is him getting ready to come because I am tired of homeschool 2 children, being pregnant and not really sleeping 😴 I’m just going to live on my ball and hope it helps him get a shimmy on

MForMed · 11/02/2021 16:27

It's a waiting game now, just trying to get through each day... I can't get comfortable whether sitting, standing or lying down, everything aches. I keep losing focus, dropping items and bumping into things. I guess it's mostly due to sleep deprivation. Please don't tell me it'll get worse! Smile

@Mahdia @KB13 I'm so sorry about your hospital experience Sad. They do keep stressing the importance of staying hydrated. If tap water doesn't work for you, because e.g. you can smell the chemicals in the water, try having a glass with a slice of lemon or a splash of orange juice, that will mask the smell and taste. I've been living on that since the beginning of PG.

PS I can't imagine how you manage to look after your other kids on top of feeling rubbish!

Squellyolwelly · 11/02/2021 16:53

@MForMed I spoke to midwife today and she said it sounds like spd 😫 probably for the best that I finish work next week, I imagine it will only get worse

Perfect28 · 11/02/2021 19:37

Hello! Can I join? Not long to go now!

swaziscot · 11/02/2021 20:06

When are you due @Perfect28?
I am due March 8. I really can’t wait now, I’m counting the days. I’m not sleeping well and feel so uncomfortable all the time.
I need to get out for more walks but it’s so freezing right now. I’m glad it’s forecast to be less cold next week.

Perfect28 · 11/02/2021 20:21

March the 9th, first baby after 5 years of trying Shock

Excited doesn't really cut it! I don't often leave the house for walks unless it's to go and buy cake 😅

Mahdia · 11/02/2021 21:11

@Perfect28 welcome to the thread! You're due 1 day before me!! Congratulations 👏
@swaziscot kkk me too I went out to the fields yesterday and after 15min I was like let's get back home!! It was freezing cold 🥶 😩.

@MForMed I know spd is so bad!! I don't know if I have that or Pelvic girdle pain. Signs are similar mine is more in the pelvic bone area (further down). Doing anything is painful bless all mums!!!
Hopefully not long some days i feel like I'm giving birth any minute when I get regular braxton hicks. Then my friend said she's been having regular contractions since 5 months and her labour lasted for 3 days!!! poor her!!! 😢
Hopefully it'll be quick and pain free (to some extent lol)
Anyone knows what pain relief they want to take if natural labour?
I was hoping pethidine at first then gas and air (laughing gas!!! I always remember ICE AGE when the lion took theblaughing gas in the cave!!!!Grin 😆

alc123 · 15/02/2021 10:15

@MForMed thanks for the welcome. my scan went well (her kidneys are looking good) and luckily she had moved just in time! head down so thats good. Just a waiting game now isn't it :)

alc123 · 15/02/2021 10:17

@Perfect28 I love that your walks are to get cake! my favourite type of walks... I'm not due till end of March but I'm already at the waddle stage and if there's not food involved I'm not interested haha. We did a walk at the beach yesterday... I got cake on the way

Perfect28 · 15/02/2021 13:09

@alc123
I really hope cafes open up soon (outside tables at least), I can't imagine maternity without coffee and cake 😂

Mahdia · 15/02/2021 14:08

@Perfect28 innit!! I could do with Starbucks frappucino right now. Just came back from my 36 weeks+ scan and was this close into finding out the surprise gender LOL but thought to myself gone this long without knowing just a lil bit left , happy to say baby's head is down 🥰

Perfect28 · 15/02/2021 14:30

@Mahdia
That's great news, I'm off for a scan this afternoon too. Hoping he is engaged, 😊🤞do you have an inkling about the sex?

Mahdia · 15/02/2021 14:55

@Perfect28 that's great 👍 hope your scan goes well for you! The sonographer said the head is 85% and abdominal circumference is 80% so I was like 😲 kkkkk and est fetal weight is roughly 3 kilos now. So maybe it'll reach 3 and half kilo by 40 weeks. This is my first 36 weeks scan they never used to do it 2 years ago.
I don't have preference over gender coz I have both at home but coz my last baby was a girl I think maybe a boy? Who knows? Hmm🤔
I'm not up to date with the news (try and avoid if I can lol 😆) but is the rule still the same only Partner can be with you after your labour kicks in (4 cm dilated). I'm also dreading the covid test whilst your contracting!!! How do ppl sit still... I'm scared I may punch someone whilst they r touching my nose!!! 😬

dinosaur17 · 15/02/2021 15:48

Anyone else had enough?!? 😂 Keep telling myself only just over 3 weeks to go!!
SPD is horrendous @Squellyolwelly feel your pain!! I’m sure my pelvis is held together with elastic bands.

Lost some of my plug this morning so hoping it won’t be too much longer!

KB13 · 15/02/2021 16:13

I’m 37+4 and my eldest daughter has given me her stomach bug 😫 not ideal when heavily pregnant and already having cramps regularly and backache. I just want to spend all my time in bed now. I’m hoping this boy will decide to arrive fairly soon as I am beyond exhausted now

alc123 · 17/02/2021 14:16

@dinosaur17 yesss I've had enough... pregnancy insomnia has been constant since the 28 week mark and this week I've now found out I've got carpal tunnel. just over 2 weeks till I finish for mat leave though! sounds like you haven't got long to go at all, I'm end of march so still a bit of a wait.

Jonesy86 · 17/02/2021 14:35

@dinosaur17 omg I'm so fed up lol 34 weeks and feel like he pushing down already. I can't sleep and I waddle more than a penguin lol.
It will all be worth it in the end though.
You don't have long at all especially losing some the mucus plug. Are You ready? I have done hospital bag seem to have loads this time round. I need to go through it all again lol. Keep worrying about the Covid test though. I have terrible gag reflex and the thought of that and contractions does not appeal. Such a strange world atm.
Xx

dinosaur17 · 17/02/2021 15:23

@alc123 oh bless you, the end is in sight! I finished last week and I’m so glad it’s done! Hopefully you can catch up on some sleep in the day time? I just seem to wake up hungry at about 1:30 and can’t get comfy!

@Jonesy86 fingers crossed! Waddling stage isn’t fun is it 😂 Ive been told to stop over doing it by the physio, my SPD is awful now so I can barely move! I’m pretty ready, just need snacks! Hoping he stays in a bit longer though, he’s breech and I won’t get a date for my section until Tuesday! Hoping they’ll look kindly on me hobbling about and agree to do it the week after next! Honestly don’t worry too much about the test, it’s super quick. I was doing them twice a week at home for work before I went off and once it’s done at least you don’t have to do it again!

Mahdia · 17/02/2021 22:56

Hiya all
Hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe🙂🙃
Anyone else has heartburn especially in the night 😫
That's what keeps me up most of the night! Oh.... and watching one born every minute 😬 lol

Take care ❤
