Hey all,

I know this is bit of a long shot, but is anyone due in March 2021?

I appreciate everyone is from different places, but are there a few ladies that want to create a WhatsApp group or something so we can be “cyber mum friends”?

I know being a mum (or a first time mum in my case) can be very daunting and a scary time, and not only that, but it can be quite lonely.. so it’s be great if a few people would like to become “online friends” so we can just talk and have company/share experiences/worries/how bored they are Hmm

Currently sat on my ball and I’m getting the most intense shooting pains/twinges in my butt/pelvis area and then it’s wrapping around my lower waist. I’m trying to not wee myself when it happens as well 🙈

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 23/01/2021 16:32

How’s everyone getting on?

I’ve only got one more blood test and then two consultant appointments before our little boy will be here! I get my date for the operation on the 4th - am going to feel so much better when I know for sure when he’s coming.

I shouldn’t really complain as I’m still sleeping pretty well, although that doesn’t mean I’m not shattered 😂🙈

Hi everyone I'm 32+3 and due 17th March!
It's all new to me with having my first baby as it is but also surreal going through the experience during the pandemic and not being able to get out there and catch up with other mums and not really having much contact with MW, didn't see my MW until my 28wk appt but thankfully seeing her more often now towards the end which is an assurance at least.
But I decided to join Mumsnet and I just love skimming through all the posts.
Hope you are all well Smile not long to go ladies! X

HungryHippo20 · 23/01/2021 18:02

That's great you're sleeping! I'm having really broken sleep because my hips are so sore I have to alternate sides every hour 😫I wish I could nap in the afternoon but I can't seem to. Been having a couple of sneaky lie downs when working from home though 😆

My heartburn is horrendous this week too, it's almost constant and I just don't feel like eating! Want to fast forward now, 6 weeks on Thursday......Got scan on weds to see if placenta has moved up as it was low lying at 20 week scan.

Laid out stuff for my hospital bag today so that's a step in right direction 🤪

Pregnancyhell · 23/01/2021 18:15

Hi

Hope its ok to join. Am due 19th March, second baby, first is 14 months now.

Been very difficult pregnancy with hyperemesis and SPD.

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 24/01/2021 05:29

Totally jinxed myself @HungryHippo20 🤦🏻‍♀️ Have been up since 5am with a bloody sore shoulder. Can’t wait to be able to sleep on my back again 😩. Ooof, heartburn is the absolute worst! Fingers crossed your scan goes well. Do the results impact how/when you have to give birth?

Hi @Pregnancyhell (sorry to hear you’ve been struggling, hopefully the last few weeks aren’t as tough for you) and @MrsW150917 👋🏽

Jeshka07 · 24/01/2021 06:43

Hi all 👋🏻 hope it’s ok to join,
I’m due 5th March with my 2nd... this time has been much more complicated and painful 😖 so will be very pleased when March comes around!!
Time seems to have slowed down though in these last few weeks!! Is anyone else finding that??

Polkadot123 · 24/01/2021 08:37

Same due date as me!!! My first too ❤️❤️ It’s all seeming real now and I’m getting excited :) hope you’re feeling well x

Polkadot123 · 24/01/2021 08:38

@MrsW150917 that was for you 😂

Jonesy86 · 24/01/2021 09:13

Hi I’m due on 31st March with my third.
I’m so nervous this time around about labour. No one seems to understand why! I dont tbh lol
So nice to find so many people die around the same time. Feels odd not having the usual mummy groups to go to and talk about things.
Xx

KB13 · 24/01/2021 09:17

@Jonesy86 I’m due on the 4th with my 3rd and totally get where you are coming from. I keep having nightmares about giving birth again as well, the other night I gave birth in the footwell of our car outside the hospital 🙈 I also watched one born last night......big mistake 😬

Jonesy86 · 24/01/2021 09:31

@KB13 I know I watched it the other night. Must been the one time everyone was having problems. I feel like tempting fate this time as first two labours have been so quick for me.
I dreamt I gave birth in the care takers cupboard at
My eldest daughters school. Lol
I’ve also had a terrible cough and cold for 13 weeks doctors said thinks related to heart burn. Haha who ever says they enjoy pregnancy I envy them lol all worth it in the end though. Xx

KB13 · 24/01/2021 09:42

@Jonesy86 I had 2 quick and easy births as well. My last one was 5 and a half hours but it was also 6 and a half years ago. I keep telling myself this one might be quicker, but have a feeling it’s going to be horrible and long 🙈 my little one is currently back to back as well and my youngest was back to back. I’m trying to turn him but he’s having none of it 😬 I’m glad I’m not the only one have these weird dreams 😅

Jonesy86 · 24/01/2021 09:57

@KB13 oh no! Although you still have time for him to turn.
My first was 6 years ago and my water broke nothing happened for couple hours so was at home then once contractions started here In 40 mins and the second they broke my waters as over due and she was born in 20 mins. That was scary lol as I didn't have any time to prepare myself.
We also having a boy. Im nervous about the nappies as have two girls lol and everything pink so need swap all the baby toys over.
Oh the dreams I have are so vivid lol my partner thinks I'm crazy when tell him haha.

MrsW150917 · 24/01/2021 11:19

@Polkadot123 we're due on Paddy's day lol 🍀 my natural instinct is telling me he will come early for some reason though I feel HUGE and ready to split at the seams haha anyway I have hospital bags all packed, nursery decorated, Moses basket up so I'm good to go when he's ready lol
These last few weeks are a killer at bedtime hardly sleeping through swapping sides can't wait to be able to sleep flat on my back again 😩
Hope you are well ☺️👍🏻 xx

KB13 · 24/01/2021 11:21

@Jonesy86 ahh I have 2 girls already as well 😊 looking forward to having a boy, but also nervous about having a boy. I only know girls 😅

Mahdia · 24/01/2021 15:47

Hi everyone
It's so nice having to read all the messages with a nice cuppa and a warm robe!:) especially it was snowing for us in South East London. Hope it goes well for everyone. I also watch One born every minute, I say to myself it'll make me more prepared but I think it gets me more tense about birth. Anyone heard if hypnobirthing, my friend thinks that I need to try it!!!!! Told her atm I'm not into it but who knows in the end may look into it.

Take care ladies, stay warm and drink plenty of warm liquids kkkSmile

KB13 · 24/01/2021 16:33

@Mahdia I haven’t done a hypnobirthing course however I did buy a hypnobirthing book by the positive birth company, so far it’s a good read and I’m taking a few tips from it. Mainly because I am petrified of my husband not being able to come in with me and he stops me from panicking. We also have snow, the kids loved it this morning and so did I because I got to send the husband it with them whilst I stayed warm inside 😅

MForMed · 26/01/2021 17:15

@HungryHippo20 I hope you're managing to get some sleep ! As an SPD veteran Wink I can recommend that (if you haven't already) you put a thick pillow between your legs (knees to ankles) for the night to align your legs and hips, hope that makes sense! Also, if your mattress is not very soft, it helps putting an extra duvet under your bedsheet to make it softer. I used to sleep sitting up till about week 27 which helped with pain but now my belly is too big, so it's probably like that for you... in any case, good luck, not far to go now.

@KB13 and @Jonesy86 I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having awful dreams about giving birth. In mine the baby goes missing after the birth or I enter a room full of newborn babies and don't know which one is mine Shock. Can't wait when it's over!!!!

@Jeshka07 welcome to the March due date thread and I'm sorry to hear you've not had a straightforward pregnancy. I think the time has sped up since Xmas! Remember going through the horrendous 1st trimester and thinking I wish it was January every day! There seem to be more pre-baby duties now which keep me occupied and make time pass quickly.

Jonesy86 · 26/01/2021 17:37

@MForMed oh no I had that dream in my last pregnancy used wake up so upset. It is defo funny how your mind works in pregnancy. Last few nights I think I have been waking up nearly every hour for a wee I just want to sleep lol. By me getting up keeps waking up my 1 year old and she then Wants to play. Been some really long nights lol

HungryHippo20 · 27/01/2021 18:00

Well ladies had a scan today to check placenta had moved up as it was low lying. It hasn't moved yet....34 weeks now but consultant said it still might....so not quite the clarity I had hoped for but i have another scan in 4 weeks when they'll decide. If I need a section then it'll be fast moving!!!

What I did find out though is that baby girl is weighing 6lbs 9oz already 😱😳 with 6 weeks still to go.....eeeeek

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 27/01/2021 20:33

Oooh, I love a big baby. All of mine have been big (9lb10, 10lb, 9lb7) but with this one, the one pregnancy that I have gestational diabetes, the baby is going to be a lot smaller! Apparently it’s a placenta issue 🤷🏻‍♀️ Fingers crossed you get the news you want at your next scan.

I have my consultant appointment next week to get the date for my c-section. Am looking forward to knowing, but it looks like we’ll be going into lockdown here in France so I don’t know how that will affect whether DH can come to appointments/the operation 😱

Mahdia · 27/01/2021 21:12

Hopefully it'll go smooth. My 11 yr old was 4 kilo 23grams (9 pounds something?) And having natural birth was SOOOOOOO painful because her head just wouldn't budge and I remember giving up and as they were preparing epidural for a csection (after an eternity of trying to push) she decided she wanted to make an entrance into the world!!!!
Still after 11 years I still remember that Saturday morning... Confused
What us mothers go through, eh!!!
I'm also 34 weeks today!!! I still cant believe I have 6 weeks to go!
Hope everyone is doing fine. Did anyone hear the news that kids may go back to school 8th March? 2 days before my due date!!!
Hopefully this'll be over before March.Grin

My sister in law has a theory that bigger babies are easy to get out but I find that hard to believe 😂😂😂

I thought gestational diabetes meant bigger babies! Or is it because it's under control that baby will be smaller?

I was really deflated yesterday because I just wanted to know either way so I could mentally prepare, if that makes sense! Now i feel I'm still in limbo!

The only thing I know for sure is that I should prob rethink the hospital bag that I packed last weekend and remove the 'tiny baby just in case' then add in some 0-1month stuff 😂😂😂😂

I was pretty adamant I didn't want section but when I heard about her weight I thought hmmmmm 😳😂😂
