As the other thread was about to be full, I thought it made sense to make part 2!

OP posts:

@Muriel84 A 24hr Primark wow that will be nice to have 😍

BloodyColdEgg · 30/11/2020 10:19

Hi ladies, I was on the other thread but under my different name (sorry I'm too lazy to change back 😂).

Is anyone else just absolutely bloody knackered now? I am SO tired. I don't know how I'm supposed to carry on with work for another month. I'm barely sleeping at night either due to backache and sciatica.

I feel like I could take about 10 naps a day.

jbx10 · 30/11/2020 10:37

@Safxxx @babydust2412 thank you both!! Ahh it's really nice to hear your thoughts & plans on it I've been getting myself so worked up over the weekend, it's not like me at all I've been really laid back all the way through up until now! I'm going to blame it on the hormones... lol!

She's first grandchild & great great grandchild to one of my grandparents so would be so sad to deprive them of meeting her!!

Xxx

Muriel84 · 30/11/2020 10:44

@Safxxx yeah I could make the most of pregnancy insomnia and head down in the middle of the night! I’m guessing the queues will be smaller...

It’s nice that we’re all feeling similarly. I’ve been following other threads and some people are being so strict. I’d hate to shut my family out from this experience.

@jbx10 👋 welcome! I’m normally laid back but the start of this pregnancy was a very anxious time. Feeling quite relaxed at the mo but sure that’ll all change as the third trimester picks up momentum... I’ll be 30 weeks on Wednesday and don’t know if I’m having a boy or a girl. X x x

Safxxx · 30/11/2020 10:50

@jbx10 Awe lovely you have that generation around you, it would be sad to not let them meet her, I believe as were getting closer to the end, were getting anxious, it's all normal just talk it out. 😊

@BloodyColdEgg yeah it's getting tiring each day, Specialy when we're not sleeping well during the night... 😣

Safxxx · 30/11/2020 10:53

I feel so bored and achy sitting in the waiting room...here for my GTT
Can't wait to get home and eat lol

jbx10 · 30/11/2020 11:06

@Safxxx I feel for you! I had mine a couple of weeks ago ended up going to sit in the car almost drifting off for a nap haha! Hopefully not long until you can go and have your breakfast.

@Muriel84 thank you Smileohh how exciting! Have you been planning your nursery are you keeping it neutral? It'll be lovely to be a surprise & find out once he or she is here.

I have a growth scan on weds & just can't wait to see her again!! Has anyone had a 3D scan? I didn't want one before but I'm feeling curious now! Xxx

Stef92 · 30/11/2020 13:29

My mam showed me something in the Winter Plan which allows you to bubble with another household, regardless of how many adults are in it, if you have a child under 1. I've not mentioned this to hubby yet as his parents live 3 hours away so it's already a touchy subject that my family will see baby more.

Muriel84 · 30/11/2020 14:40

@jbx10 baby will be lucky to get a room by the time it’s one at this rate! 😂 we’re currently in a one bed flat but are slowly progressing on what will be our first purchase. Still only had a second box room but big enough for a little one. Unlikely to be ready for a while but that’s fine! Either way we should definitely know it’s gender by then! I prefer gender neutral colours anyhow.

I have a growth scan booked New Year’s Eve. Actually feel a bit nervous about it. Seems strange after having scans 2-3 weekly until 22 weeks...

@Safxxx hope you got something nice to eat! I shoved a croissant in my mouth on the way out of the hospital after my GTT I was so hungry!

@Stef92 thanks for sharing that! Rules are so bloody complicated. X x x

sarahb083 · 30/11/2020 17:47

I'm 30+2 today and suddenly feel exhausted, uncomfortable, and breathless. Anyone else? The thought of getting bigger and more uncomfortable for the next 10 weeks fills me with dread!

jbx10 · 30/11/2020 17:56

@Muriel84 oh wow!! Hats off to you going through a house move in your 3rd trimester, hope everything goes through soon for you so you can get settled Smile
How come you have such a gap with your growth scans? It'll be my first growth scan on weds, low PAPP-A.

I'm so tempted to book a 3D scan because I'm just curious, can scans be harmful to baby if you have a lot of them? Xx

Muriel84 · 30/11/2020 18:13

@jbx10 thanks! It’s not through choice tho! The first flat we tried to buy fell through... though definitely for the right reasons. We feel so much better about this one. ☺️ I had scans through first and second trimester to check my cervix mainly cos I am at risk of preterm delivery cos my uterus is a funny shape. They’re not interested in me any more! I have a growth scan at 34 weeks just to check and cos my placenta was low. Hopefully it’s gone up... 🤞🤞🤞

There’s no harm to the baby with ultrasound scans. They use sound waves. There’s no radiation like with x-rays and CT scans. X x x

Safxxx · 30/11/2020 18:22

@Muriel84 I took snacks with me, never did have it, was patient enough to get back home for lunch lol
I just wanted to get out of there, sitting for 2hrs was breaking my back on that chair, plus my arms hurt from the blood test 🙄

Char41zam · 30/11/2020 18:24

@Safxxx when do you get your results? My diabetes seems to be ok touch wood! I have a growth scan on Thursday so fingers crossed she is still growing as normal xx

IamC · 30/11/2020 18:41

@Safxxx fingers crossed for a good result for you.

I got diagnosed last week but it's the kind not controlled by diet (ie I've been testing my levels for the last few days and during the day it's fine, but overnight it spikes even though I'm asleep and not eating). So it's meds for me. Just experimenting to get the correct dose now.

Char41zam · 30/11/2020 19:08

@IamC I was diabetic before being pregnant and it was diet controlled but now I’m pregnant they have me on metformin started on one a day and now it’s 2 times a day, the midwife says I can end up on up to 4 daily but I hope I won’t need to.

babydust2412 · 30/11/2020 19:10

@sarahb083 I am almost 31 weeks and I feel the exact same. Even sitting down rather than laying is super uncomfortable, it makes everything feel so squashed and even makes me feel sick at times where he must be squishing my stomach. I'm barely ever comfortable at the moment and am dreading possibly getting bigger and more uncomfy. As much as I love growing my baby boy I can't wait to not be uncomfy 24/7 anymore 😂😂 xx

babydust2412 · 30/11/2020 19:11

Had anyone else been feeling super exhausted this week no matter how much sleep you get? Starting to be even more tired than the first trimester fatigue, third trimester fatigue is killing me at the moment xx

wannabe123 · 30/11/2020 19:28

I feel permanently exhausted, I feel like my brain is necer fully functional. Just about getting to the uncomfortable stage at 28 weeks. I've had sore hips for a while (and suffered pre pregnancy too) but I'm now getting general aches and pains too.

Snorlax86 · 30/11/2020 20:18

I’ve been really tired too, I’ve been trying to fit in a nap at lunchtime (wfh) if I can and then just eat whilst working. I still have another 2 months of working, not sure how I will get through it. I have my GD test this week, dreading the sugary drink, plus I’m convinced I will get it as I have all the risk factors for it but already on metformin due to PCOS so worry that I will have to start injecting insulin, though having gone through IVF to make baby, injections hopefully won’t be too bad!

Safxxx · 30/11/2020 20:21

@Char41zam should get results within a week, hope all is good 🤞good to hear yours is under control, Hopefuly things get better after birth and you don't need more pills.
Hope all goes well for your growth scan, and little one is growing nicely 😊

@IamC oh dear sorry to hear that, Hopefuly it's fine after birth 🤞

Muriel84 · 02/12/2020 10:33

My hospital, which is very strict it seems, has just announced that partners can now attend all scans, maternity triage and induction of labour. Such a relief! Still only one hour on postnates tho! Hopefully things will continue to move in that direction... my partner can come to my 34 week scan x x x

Stef92 · 02/12/2020 11:26

Great news @Muriel84

I had my 28 week appointment yesterday and I'm going for my anti-d injection on Friday. We were booking in my next midwife appointment and because of Covid they're now seeing me at 32 weeks instead of 31, is anyone else the same?

Safxxx · 02/12/2020 12:26

@Muriel84 That's quite reassuring news. Hopefuly other places follow pursuit 🤞

@Stef92 usually it's 3 wks, my 28wk midwife appt is tmro, let's see what she offers me next time 🤔

jbx10 · 02/12/2020 14:51

@Muriel84 that's great news!! Hopefully ours will do the same too.

Is anyone else having growth scans? I had mine today and all her measurements are fine but her weight is showing small! Has anyone else had something similar? He said nothing to worry about but just to continue with scans every 2 weeks but doesn't stop you worrying a little bit! Xx
