As the other thread was about to be full, I thought it made sense to make part 2!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@OnNaturesCourse
Aren't we all curious, no harm in asking. And yes everyone's entitled to their own opinions. Xxx

Lucybbb · 19/11/2020 17:25

@OnNaturesCourse I wrote you a long reply earlier but it doesn't seem to have posted, sorry! 😵
My reasons are different from @Safxxx but basically I researched it and weighed up the pros and cons and decided to decline. I've declined pretty much everything in this pregnancy which puts me in a bit of an isolated category 😟
I think it's great to be nosey and curious to be honest, I've seen pile ons in threads before on women who've declined things and that's very different!

Safxxx · 19/11/2020 17:57

@Lucybbb Fair point 👍🏼

Also you mentioned the bump bands, I don't think it will divert the pressure, it might just help.
When ever I walk I'm holding my bump, and feel like need that extra support.
Try it see how it goes, and give feedback Xxx

babydust2412 · 20/11/2020 09:59

Baby has had hiccups every day the past few days, is that normal? 💙 at the point now where I worry about every little thing 😩😂

Safxxx · 20/11/2020 10:38

@babydust2412.... I remember in my previous pregnancies it happened quite often...nothing to worry about Xxx

BattenburgBerry · 20/11/2020 10:50

My bump band arrived yesterday, it’s so comfortable and supportive and really takes away the pulling down sensation. I will test drive it this afternoon, I walk about 6-7 miles a day with the dogs so it’ll get a good trial run.

And I think my babe gets hiccups a lot too, I can feel it as I type!

OnNaturesCourse · 20/11/2020 13:25

Anyone else feeling really breathless and squashed lately?

I also woke up today being able to fit back into my jeans cos bump has gone in that much, I actually feel like I'm carrying in my stomach and lungs 😭 I can not get comfy, and movement other than slow walks make me feel horrible.

Beginning to wonder if I'm maybe a little dehydrated? Or low iron?

babydust2412 · 20/11/2020 14:47

@Safxxx Thankyou 💙
@OnNaturesCourse I feel exactly the same, eating makes me so ridiculously breathless and if I sit up for too long it's as if he's in my stomach. Tried to wrap some Xmas presents yesterday and it made me feel sick sitting hunched 😩

Safxxx · 20/11/2020 16:29

@BattenburgBerry wow 6-7 miles walk...i can barely do less then half n hour, before I'm gasping for breath and I get stitches on my sides, and the pelvic area starts hurting 🤣🤣 i guess your quite fit.
If you don't mind can you recommend where to buy the bump band's you bought? As there's quite alot of choices.

@OnNaturesCourse yes were all at that stage now where you will feel all squashed and breathless.....i can't even finish my meal, due to feeling like I'm gonna explode lol...so I'm eating little and often instead..and bending and crouching is so uncomfortable...i can't even put my boots on standing need to sit and do it. Just feels all compressed...i'm sure when I felt like this in previous pregnancies it was nearly towards the end, this time round started early!!
That's weired your stomach going inwards rather then outwards...maybe it's the position of your baby, my pressures all at the front...do you take your daily vitamins like Pregnacare? If so you shouldn't be low in iron....unless your aneamic in the first place..its important to stay well hydrated too...so get that fluid down you..Xxx

BattenburgBerry · 20/11/2020 16:39

@Safxxx the band I bought was on Amazon, it’s called Babygo 4 in 1 Pregnancy Support band and was about £23. It’s really good, I found it so supportive today, it fits round your hips and has a boned back section and it really stopped the pulling. I suppose it’s a bit like a sports bra but for your bump, not your boobs! It comes in several parts, a soft support for first trimester, you add a Velcro on back support for 2nd trimester and another band which fits over the bump for the 3rd trimester. Then you can also wear it as a core support/waist trainer after birth. I recommend, it made walking so much more comfortable today.

Safxxx · 20/11/2020 16:43

@BattenburgBerry sounds good 👍🏼 Thankyou very much, I'll search it later, and maybe hubby could buy it for me lol Xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 20/11/2020 21:29

I don't take vitamins, they wreck havoc with my stomach. I put up with them until 20 weeks and binned them, did the same in my first pregnancy too.

I stupidly looked at Google and have convinced myself I'm low in iron or have pre eclampsia... I really should ban myself from Google!

Safxxx · 20/11/2020 23:01

@OnNaturesCourse yep Dr.Google can get us all paranoid 🤣
If your concerned speak to your midwife, I'm sure she will reassure you...and if you have got symptoms of iron deficiency they can arrange a blood test, or your own GP can. Meanwhile try to eat iron rich food and get your other vitamins thru it too.
Don't forget lots of our nutrients are going to the baby, so need to up it as not to be deprived yourself. Xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 21/11/2020 12:44

Yeh, the reason I suspect it is because I'm off red meat completely as it makes me sick. I've gone from 50% of my meals containing it to none.

Got my blood pressure done today and it was 113/69 or something similar so no concerns, and my urine appears clear too. Blood pressure a few weeks ago was 127/80 so it's lower which apparently can be iron related too so I'm going to try sort my diet out before I get bloods done (scheduled in a few weeks anyway!)

Safxxx · 21/11/2020 14:31

@OnNaturesCourse....i don't eat much red meat or oily fish...but do include spinach, boiled eggs, beans, lentils, mix Nuts and raisins, another thing which is good source is Dates...
Give your diet a mix of these things and search up what ever else has a good source...
I cook more chicken then any other meat, but I do try to make some beef dishes or pasta's.
I'm hoping to buy some salmon soon as that's good too.
If you can make some veg/fruit smoothies or get some juice down you.keep well hydrated. Xxx

OnNaturesCourse · 21/11/2020 16:28

I'm off everything really just now to be honest aside from toast, pasta, hot dogs, apples and cereal...everything else is off the cards.

Heartburn, indigestion, constipation and sickness is a great mix.

I thought I was doing OK with smoothies and toast but apparently not. 😂

Safxxx · 21/11/2020 18:18

@OnNaturesCourse.....oh dear!! Suppose it effects us all differently...i've gone off some foods too, and others just bloat me up. Last couple of days I got a metallic taste in my mouth, and it's not going away.
But luckily I've never experienced sickness in pregnancies. But I do have indigestion and constipation...i try to eat small and regularly even if it's junk lol
Hope you feel better soon and get to eat what you want Xxx

babydust2412 · 21/11/2020 19:41

@OnNaturesCourse oh gosh bless you that's no fun at all. The only things I fancy at the moment are takeaways so I've had a crazy amount of Taco Bell and McDonald's 😬😂
At least there's a few things you're okay with I suppose, better than eating nothing 💙 at least were all not far from the end now so soon you'll have your bubba with you and will forget xx

Safxxx · 23/11/2020 19:33

Hi all hope your all doing well....is it me or the rest of you feel more and more stiff as each day passes...i find driving quite awkward too now, the seatbelt is very uncomfortable and the position makes my sides hurt.
Went for a walk in the park tday, couldn't manage it for long, as felt pressure in the pelvic, had to rest on the bench then walk again....got home both sides of abdomen were hurting 😞

Safxxx · 23/11/2020 19:40

And the pressure on my bladder and bum is immense at times.....
Sorry TMI but after going toilet for no2 I find it so painful afterwards like there's alot of pressure...i find it painful to sit on the sofa....slowly it then eases off as I relax or lie down. 🙄
I was thinking now I might have piles? But I've had them before there were diffrent..maybe this time there further up I don't know...but it's bloody uncomfortable at times.

babydust2412 · 23/11/2020 21:02

@Safxxx I'm exactly the same. Getting more and more uncomfy as the days go on really, especially with pain in the pelvis when walking. Same as you really, getting abdominal pains at time and the odd cramps. Good news is, not long left now! 😊💙

BattenburgBerry · 23/11/2020 21:14

I was saying to my husband yesterday, that’s one of the things no one tells you about pregnancy. It’s bloody uncomfortable!

IamC · 23/11/2020 21:34

Yeah it's becoming evident we can't do the things we used to! I had a nice long walk a week ago, which was fine at the time. But after I stopped my bump was just pure ache and pain! I ended up going to bed to sleep it off.

Muriel84 · 24/11/2020 07:54

@Safxxx oh no that sounds horrible! Can you take something to make your poo softer and easier to pass? I’m taking lactulose most days now to keep things going. High fibre diet isn’t enough and fybrogel gives me a horrible tum. I tried these natural ortis fig chews you can get from Holland and Barrett right back in the first trimester. They gave me the worse smelling farts of my entire life. But they work for other people!

I had two weeks of different creams and suppositories for what I assume is piles. Might have taken the swelling down a bit. Not sure. They never really hurt they’re just lumpy. So so so gross I got quite upset. Now just trying to ignore the bastards. Hope they go once babs is out. 🤞🤞🤞

I don’t know how people run this late on. I’ve been walking a fair amount the last few days cos I’m on leave and there’s nothing else to do. If I exert myself a lot like walking up some stairs I get braxton hicks. Tum also feels huge and tight when I’m walking. I dunno why. Also have continuous wind... 🙈 probs the lactulose. So attractive x x x

Safxxx · 24/11/2020 11:25

@Muriel84 your post made me laugh, calling piles the "B" word 🤣🤣🤣
I'm not feeling any lumps there, just pressure and pain...and when that starts I get a leg cramp too till all eases off..
Yes wind is a problem...quite normal any stage of pregnsncy but annoying.
I do have lactose solution...but haven't taken any lately.
My bump is not too big yet feels like I'm carrying a elephant, the pressure and heaviness from it is making it hard at times to get up from a lying position with ease..my fam making jokes like...ooohh ahhh ouch ufff sounds to mimmic me 🤣🤣🤣
I know I said I'll wait till December to shop for baby, but I couldn't resist, I've bought all the essentials that's needed, but nothing extra. Travel cot I will keep a look out for in the black Friday deals...ive already got a car seat, found it in the loft lol...and my sister inlaw has given me a pushchair which is hardly been used by her son. So it's quite new with a footmuff 😊
