As the other thread was about to be full, I thought it made sense to make part 2!

I'm also worried about covid just as you all are, so scary isn't it xx
Had a growth scan at 36 weeks and baby weighs 6lb3 right now :)
Anyone else taking raspberry leaf capsules? x

I had my 35 week growth scan today, and have an induction booked now for 37 weeks 😬

Still mixed messages about the fibroid blocking the exit though. My previous consultant was adamant it'd be a c-section (a vertical one no less!) and I asked the sonographer if they thought the fibroid had moved out of the way enough for a natural birth and she said no. It's only moved a couple of centimetres apparently.

The new consultant I saw for the first time is dead against a c-section and wants an induction. I felt a bit bulldozed to be honest, but I guess they'll scan me and see when I go in on the day. Hate not knowing for sure either way.

@IamC it is confusing when you get the different opinions from different consultants/doctors!! How exciting that you've got your date booked in for 2 weeks time 😱🥰 really not long for you to go before you meet your little one. Will they scan when you go in for your induction to check if it's moved?

@babydust2412 I was really getting. Down about the covid situation yesterday but after speaking with my MW today I feel a lot more reassured. Our hospital have only turned away 1 birthing partner since the pandemic and that was because she had tested positive & he was showing symptoms. I'm still nervous but going to start isolating now this week.

What is are raspberry leaf tea capsules for? Xxxx

@IamC that sounds really stressful and awful you don’t feel listened to. Which would you prefer to have? Induction or c section?

@babydust2412 that’s lovely to hear, glad he’s growing so well! I would start on the raspberry tea for sure but probs not a good idea while I’m still breech? So will wait for my scan at 36 weeks next week to see.

@Muriel84 a natural delivery is my preference if it is safe. But if there's not enough room for an exit, then surely the baby is at risk of getting in distress and I'm likely to need an emergency c section - so I wonder if a planned c section is a safer option.

I'm hoping I'll get a scan and and can speak to a diff consultant and then have a proper conversation about it, hopefully with the Mr present.

What is everyone's due dates? Gender? Guesses on early or late?

Thinking of putting a list together for us so we all know who is rolling closer to their dates!

I am due 12.2.21, little boy and have a feeling he might be early going by symptoms just now.

I am diabetic and because of my age they are suggesting I get induced at 39 weeks, I don’t have to I can choose to leave it and go naturally how ever I live 40 miles away from the nominated hospital so I would rather be prepared

I'm having a boy and I'm due 23/02/2021.

I’m due 13/02/21 however they are giving me my date for induction on Friday so I shall let you know, I am having a little girl 😊 @IamC I had 2 fibroids discovered at my 12 week scan and one was fairly big however no mention of it again on any other scans

I'm due on the 19th with a little boy. He's measuring big so I have a feeling he will come early!

It is just so exciting! It's lovely to see a few of you are having a surprise I think that's a really nice idea 🥰 I still can't quite believe it, I am so ready to meet my little one but also making the most of enjoying her growing with me and just being all mine for the last few weeks! Xx

@jbx10 people often drink raspberry leaf tea or take the capsules in late pregnancy because it can strengthen the uterus and there's some evidence it can make labour shorter and contractions more effective xx

I'm due the 25th with a surprise! Have a 4yo girl already! Measuring big so have midwife next week and might be sent for scan really hoping I go early this time. Was only 3 days late with first xxx

I’m due 11 Feb with a surprise

My first was born 38w5d; I’m trying desperately not to hope we’ll be a little early again!

Bump was measuring big at last appointment but midwife was quite dismissive as using the tape is so subjective. No extra scans/checks planned. Next appointment is on tues so will be interesting to see how we’re doing...

When is everyone finishing up for mat leave? I have my last week of work next week; can’t wait!

Hey ladies just back from a growth scan and she is now 4oz off 5 lbs so growing away fine and no wonder she has the hiccups 10 times a day as her little lips were gulping down the amniotic fluid lol I have a telephone consultation tomorrow with the consultant to discuss my induction date 😊

@SearchingForToes I’m due the 10th and also going on mat leave the end of next week.

Heard today that we might be moving in a month... not sure whether I should be hoping baby comes early any more! X x
