As the other thread was about to be full, I thought it made sense to make part 2!

OP posts:

@jbx10 aww mine is hiccuping like mad now. Clutching my side cos bump is shaking! Scan was fine, bit rushed cos they were running late. Placenta has gone up a bit so that’s good. Growing fine - 5lbs already! But baby is bum first so another scan in two weeks. Had really hoped it had flipped. Glad your scan went well! ☺️X x x

Bambino87 · 30/12/2020 19:19

I had my 32 week appointment today and measuring ahead. She said it's nothing to worry about but if I measure ahead at next appointment she will probs send me for a scan. Does any one have any experience of this? I'm not worried but just wondering if I should start preparing for baby to come earlier than expected!

jbx10 · 30/12/2020 19:26

@Muriel84 I'm glad she told me it was hiccups I'd been feeling her doing that a few times and wasn't sure if they were hiccups or not! Aww 5lbs 😇😇 plenty of time for baby to move though and another excuse for you to see them again in 2 weeks time! ❤️

Safxxx · 30/12/2020 21:03

Bump is definetely feeling heavy these days, movements are much larger.
I'm sat here soaking my feet, yet i can't reach to them with ease to scrub them down with a pumice stone, feels like a mountain between me and my feet 🤣🤣
Yet my bumps not even that big, its just very uncomfortable.

Safxxx · 30/12/2020 21:09

@Muriel84 @jbx10 glad your scans went well. Xxx

Safxxx · 30/12/2020 22:08

@Babydust2412 hows your SPD? Is it on/off of constant?
I hope i did'nt get it wrong, but i'm sure you said your midwife said you might have SPD

pampero · 30/12/2020 23:13

@babydusy2412 at my 31 week scan I think I measured around 32...was up over the 95th percentile on a chart. Had a growth scan yesterday having been in hospital for reduced movements and the scan showed sizes for everything in a much more average range. Think the bump measuring isn't the most accurate.

Safxxx · 31/12/2020 00:36

@pampero hows the babìes movements since your stay at hospital? What did they say? Xx

pampero · 31/12/2020 08:27

@saf the babys movements have been fine and normal since thanks...its like walking through the doors gave it a kick start again! It started hiccups as soon as I lay on the bed 🤣 They seemed happy post monitoring & said there was enough movement that day - got put on a machine that does a 'Dawes Redman' test which monitors heart rate and kicks and that came out ok. The growth scan i think was a standard follow up where I am if youve been in more than once (was in around a month ago with a similar thing) & they said baby looked totally normal & had plenty of movement.
The midwives were all lovely though & said if it happens again at any point just come back and get checked out again, they'd rather you come in and get checked than ignore it.

babydust2412 · 31/12/2020 09:11

@Safxxx it's actually not too bad, I just can't walk for very long without ending up in pain ☹️❤️

Muriel84 · 31/12/2020 09:17

@pampero I had that a few weeks ago. Went in at 6am cos baby had barely moved all night and normally very very active. The midwife had trouble putting the ctg on cos the baby was moving round so much... 🙈 it’s when it turns onwards, the movements really change. It was quiet yesterday but could see on the scan it was turned inwards so it’s punching and kicking that direction.

@jbx10 yup that’s true! In the meantime going to try some techniques from spinning babies to get it to flip. The idea of hanging off the sofa with my head down isn’t that appealing with constant heartburn! Xx x

pampero · 31/12/2020 09:40

@Muriel84 glad I'm not the only one, these little ones certainly keep you guessing the whole time!

Safxxx · 31/12/2020 11:59

@Babydust2412 thats good its not too bad, as its your 1st baby hopefully you will be ok. I feel quite scared this time as i've not had SPD before, and it can be quite painful when little one is pressing near the pelvic. I been advised maybe have a water birth to ease off the pain during labour and to avoid any damage to the pelvic bone including any fractures/breakage.
I can't stop worrying now 😢

Safxxx · 31/12/2020 12:01

@Pampero Awe thats great, better safe then sorry, best to always check it out if you feel worried. Xxx

pampero · 31/12/2020 12:12

@Safxxx sorry to hear the SPD is bad , I just had to Google what it was. Sounds like taking it as easy as you can is the best thing, although sometimes easier said than done im sure!

Safxxx · 31/12/2020 13:00

@Pampero yes standing for prolonged periods and doing household chores/cooking or walking for long all can be painful.
It also depends on the position of the baby, when hes lower down symptoms are bad, but if hes higher up i'm ok.
So yeah i'm dreading the head engaging as theres no going back then.
Never have i been so afraid or worried about labour before this, i just need to have faith and trust the journey ahead, hopefuly it won't be as bad and i get thru it. Xx

pampero · 31/12/2020 14:10

@Safxxx ill keep fingers crossed he doesn't engage too early & that all goes well when labour does come. Are you due early or later in Feb? I'm sure the midwives etc will give the best advice they can when the time comes x

Safxxx · 31/12/2020 14:27

@Pampero Awe bless you thanks ❤ i'm due 21st Feb, yes Hopefuly things work out at the end. Xxx

Char41zam · 31/12/2020 14:30

I had spd with my second daughter @Safxxx total agony! I feel for you, also I have huge anxiety about this birth too but like you I have to just trust the process and go with it x

Safxxx · 31/12/2020 17:39

@Char41zam did you have normal birth at that time? Hows things with your pelvic region now? Xx

jbx10 · 31/12/2020 19:45

Char41zam · 31/12/2020 22:52

@Safxxx yes natural birth and then another birth after and I didn’t have spd and not had it this time either just really bad back and pelvic pain but more manageable than the spd. Happy new year ladies! Hope it will be a better one for us all xx
