As the other thread was about to be full, I thought it made sense to make part 2!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Muriel84 yeah it was painful - hopefully when the blood is tested after birth we both don't have to have the jab again.

Before we found out what we were having I really struggled with girl names! The name we will go with is one I've loved for years and it turns out both our great grandparents on our dads side were also called the same.

Muriel84 · 06/12/2020 21:31

@Stef92 I know my baby’s positive they tested it’s dna before they gave me anti d! So definitely having it again.

Aww that’s so sweet about your g grandads. Why are girls names so difficult?? X x x

Stef92 · 06/12/2020 21:35

@Muriel84 Ah they've not tested baby for me yet so it's just wait and see for us.

I think girl named are harder because when you think of a name you're then reminded of a cow from school who was also called that? 🤣

Muriel84 · 06/12/2020 21:40

@Stef92 that’s exactly it!! Every name I suggest my partner says “oh there was a girl called that at school...”! 😂 x x x

Safxxx · 06/12/2020 23:02

Names are quite hard to choose, every time I like a name, Some one else I know already has it ☹
Hubby mostly leaves it to me...which is nice. This time it's a bit of a struggle choosing boys name...my kids are deciding with me, we have 2 names in mind now...lets see if we all can agree on one of them lol.

Safxxx · 07/12/2020 07:44

Anyone else's bone hurts between the breasts? I been having it on/off but since last night it's been hurting more.

pampero · 07/12/2020 08:26

Names are much harder to pick than I'd thought they would be, so easy to rule names out much harder to rule them in! Found the boys harder than the girls for us though.

Muriel84 · 07/12/2020 08:51

@Safxxx ouch... is it effecting your breathing? I have a patch of numbness at the bottom of my sternum and I get an occasional shooting pain there if I lean forward. I guess the bump is pressing on a nerve. X x x

OnNaturesCourse · 07/12/2020 09:07

@Safxxx that sounds painful, could it be your ribs stretching? Or posture related?

We found boys names much easier to pick first time round, but now we really need a boys name it's harder. So far I like Leo but DP doesn't, and he likes Dominic but I don't. There are a few names we both like but don't love them if that makes sense.

Safxxx · 07/12/2020 09:41

@Muriel84 @OnNaturesCourse
Maybe it's the uterus pushing up and affecting it...my breathing is breathless as it is not due to the pain, certain positions it hurts more, other times it eases off, but any time I press the area it hurts. Oh well another symptom added to the long list ☹

OnNaturesCourse · 07/12/2020 10:50

I'm getting the breathlessness now too, it's not pleasant. I changed the bed the other day and felt like I'd had a hour at the gym. I'm also starting to get the swollen feeling in my hands and feet but no obvious signs of actual swelling as yet.

Char41zam · 07/12/2020 12:17

@Safxxx my ribs are hurting too especially when she is pushing up against them xx

IamC · 07/12/2020 16:28

Had my final scan and back in the PAU awaiting results.

In the time I've been waiting for my results (an hour and a half) they've sent 3 pregnant ladies up for the same scan.

It defo feels like they are being overly cautious - surely it can't be that common?

IamC · 07/12/2020 19:00

Make that 4 in 3 hours. Seems like they send everyone for this test who complains of rib pain.

Good news is...all clear!

While I'm thankful of that I feel guilty that my baby has been put through unnecessary risk.

Char41zam · 07/12/2020 19:40

Glad all is well @IamC don’t feel guilty you did what was best for the situation as your best interest was the baby and their well being

Safxxx · 07/12/2020 21:08

@IamC good to hear all is clear 😊

Char41zam · 07/12/2020 23:41

Hey ladies terrible terrible heartburn tonight! I think this is the worst I have ever experienced so uncomfortable 😕

IamC · 08/12/2020 06:25

@Char41zam hope you're feeling better today!

Safxxx · 08/12/2020 07:18

@Char41zam I try not to eat too late to avoid heartburn at night, but when I do get it, usually eating a Apple can help, or I take a indigestion tab.....in these last stages will see increase In constipation and heartburn and & breathlessness and what not 🙄
My pain between the breasts has extended in my rib cage since last night, when I lie on my sides and then try to turn over i get shooting pains. Also the pelvic area gets uncomfortable. Xxx

Muriel84 · 08/12/2020 08:29

@IamC glad everything is fine! You absolutely should not feel guilty. Pregnancy increases the risk of blood clots so you needed to get it properly checked.

Talking of these symptoms ramping up in the last stages, pregnancy insomnia has reached new levels. Is this it now? No sleep for a couple of years? Turned into an emotional reck going to bed last night cos I’m so tired and knew I wouldn’t sleep well again. Baby was pummelling me 3-5. No way I could sleep through that, it feels so big now. And can’t side sleep either cos it fights the bed/pillow. So just had to sit up to give it some room to do its thing. X x x

Safxxx · 08/12/2020 09:08

@Muriel84 yes I'm afraid that's another thing on the endless list of symptoms Xxx

Char41zam · 08/12/2020 10:59

Poor us! Yes the third trimester seems to be hammering me and my body the only saving grace is we are approaching the end stage I guess, @Safxxx is it when the baby is laying in certain positions or all the time? @Muriel84 lack of sleep is not nice at all fee for you xx

Safxxx · 08/12/2020 11:26

@Char41zam yeah depends on position of the baby and also my position. If he's lower down and I'm walking or standing for too long my pelvic area gets very uncomfortable and hurts till I rest.
If he's higher up then sitting position is worse for me & driving and lying on my sides as the area between the breasts and right under in the ribs really hurt.

At the moment he's wriggling in the middle, maybe he's sick of me complaining all the time, he's giving me a break 🤣🤣🤣

Char41zam · 08/12/2020 11:45

Lol yeah he is giving you a bit of a break! Kinda crazy how we host a whole little person though, so surreal when you really think about it x

Muriel84 · 08/12/2020 11:50

I know. Poor us! And I don’t feel I can complain to family etc (not that it’s stopping me...) as I’ve brought this on myself 😭 moan moan!

I swear my baby is fully changing position too. Yesterday seemed to be lying transverse with feet sticking out my side. I wonder what it’s actually up to in there. Seems like an age between scans and appointments. I have my 32 week check next week. X x x
