@generalclux I'm in Ayrshire too, 16 weeks and felt pretty rotten until last week. That's funny about your baby, my first was like that. This one was sleeping, she said there's your baby and the heartbeat, got all the measurements and after 5mins said you're all done, baby hadn't moved at all, and we were out, quickest thing ever!!
The jumping up and down and hip thrusting is funny though!!

sunnysideup3 · 19/11/2020 08:02

I'm glad to hear people are holding off until 20 wks to tell everyone. I've already told some of the close family, I think I'll tell the close friends after the 12 wk scan and the rest can find out after 20 weeks.

In other symptom developments, I completely stopped drinking water! Just can't stand it. I really need to find a solution to this to keep myself hydrated 😳

PinkRoses20 · 19/11/2020 08:21

@GeneralClux i was the same with first scan, despite all the jumping around, baby just would not settle in position they needed but went back two weeks later and got what they needed. Hopefully that's you getting over the worst of the nausea now 🤞

@fattymumbum absolutely, when i told close friends i was over halfway yesterday i realised it's not going to be long 😊 feels very real now!!

Fruitloops34 · 19/11/2020 08:43

@bubblybrit I’m super excited I cannot believe tonight I’ll know what I’m having. So surreal.

@GeneralClux I’m Ayrshire too and she had me wiggling my hips as baby was facing away, but I was so desperate for the toilet I couldn’t do it and kept laughing. It was so awkward lol.

bubblybrit · 19/11/2020 08:56

@Fruitloops34. I found out with my first and loved being able to call baby ‘little miss’, ‘she’ etc when talking about her. I felt really connected with her so super excited for you tonight!

bubblybrit · 19/11/2020 08:57

@sunnysideup3. I’m not great with water either. Seems to bring on my gag reflex. I seem a little better if I add some diluting juice though. The only one that works for me is the apple and black current one!

Sexnotgender · 19/11/2020 09:00

We haven’t told anyone really, only close family and about 3 friends.

It’s getting hard to hide though! I’m 19+5 and got my anomaly scan on Monday. If that’s all fine then will tell people after that.

sunnysideup3 · 19/11/2020 09:33

@bubblybrit I'll try adding some diluting juice! Drinking very cold water seems a bit more manageable to me as well.

bubblybrit · 19/11/2020 09:46

@sunnysideup3. Fingers crossed that you find something that works! I’ve always been terrible at keeping hydrated. I just don’t feel thirsty very often. I’m trying to drink more frequently as I know it’s good for baby!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 19/11/2020 14:39

Unfortunately we got awful news at our scan so will be bowing out of this thread/probably the boards for a bit.

Wishing each of you and your little ones all the best x
