Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@bubblybrit it was the same for us. I'm glad I finally managed to convince him 😅

bubblybrit · 11/12/2020 11:03

@sunnysideup3. I’m feeling a bit anxious about it all as I am booked for the NIPT tomorrow. My DH is adamant he wants to know and won’t back down! He says that he is happy to find out and keep it a surprise for me but a) it’s not the same when one of you know and b) I know he will accidentally let it slip and I’ll be really annoyed!

ScottishLassie91 · 12/12/2020 11:13

@sunnysideup3 thankyou!

@bubblybrit Yeah this is our first, so excited!! 🥰💙

bubblybrit · 12/12/2020 13:35

I’m going to bow out ladies as we didn’t get good news at our scan. My dates are either way out (I don’t think so) or baby has stopped growing at around 5 weeks. We have a re-scan next week to be sure but very unlikely that it will be good news!

Congrats to all and I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Lots of love xxx

swiftt · 12/12/2020 13:50

@bubblybrit so very sorry to hear this lovely, look after yourself x

sunnysideup3 · 14/12/2020 09:28

I'm so sorry @bubblybrit. Take care of yourself💐

bubblybrit · 14/12/2020 10:30

Thank you. It appears I miscarried naturally yesterday so going for a scan tomorrow to make sure it’s complete.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

Wishing you love and happiness throughout your pregnancies and beyond.

Take care x x

Buffbeag · 14/12/2020 10:45

Wanderdust · 14/12/2020 22:42

I hope everyone else is OK. I'll be on here too if anyone wants to talk as I'm another one not on FB x

Queenbee95 · 15/12/2020 08:07

So sorry @bubblybrit Flowers

How is everyone feeling? I was at triage the other day after blacking out and falling over, baby is all good though. Also have a phone appointment on Friday with the haematologist to find out if I need the injections to prevent blood clots (yay - not)

Gaxy1 · 15/12/2020 15:08

Sorry to hear that @bubblybrit

Finally managed to drink more than just sips today. Feel like I’m finally starting to feel better. It’s so wearing feeling sick all the time!

BabyBumpIncoming · 17/12/2020 12:06

Hi all, I've been following this thread in the background for a while but was to scared to post before 12 week scan. Thought I'd finally say hi 👋🏻 I'm NHS Lothian, 14 weeks now and it's finally starting to feel real now that more people know. 1st child for us so loving reading everyone's comments and experiences!

Queenbee95 · 19/12/2020 08:56

Hey @BabyBumpIncoming I’m also Lothian! How have you been feeling so far?

I’ve been having lots of braxton hicks recently, at least 5 different episodes a day. It’s painful and I have to stop what I’m doing when they happen, can’t remember them being so early on in the pregnancy with my other 2 😰

MumToBeMaz · 20/12/2020 22:42

Hi everyone. I don't really belong in this thread as I had a miscarriage back in October but I just found out on Thursday that I'm expecting again (due Aug) and thought of you all as soon as I logged back in to MN.

Nice to see a few familiar usernames are still here. Hope you are all getting on well.

Wanderdust · 20/12/2020 23:01

Aw welcome back! Sorry to hear about your earlier loss, of course you belong :) Congrats!! Flowers

Symphony87 · 21/12/2020 00:04

Hi ladies I posted earlier in the thread, just stopping by to say hi again 😁 I’ve confirmed I’m going to be moving back to the highlands in the next few weeks (covid allowing) so in the limbo position of keeping an eye on both the South West and the Highlands maternity rules.

swiftt · 21/12/2020 07:26

@MumToBeMaz oh what amazing news, congratulations lovely! X

sunnysideup3 · 21/12/2020 09:02

@MumToBeMaz congrats!

I finally caved in and started sleeping on a pile of pillows. My acid reflux and heartburn are so much better! I wish I'd done this sooner.

Anyone else still battling many symptoms in 2nd trimester? I really hate how everything you read leads you to believe everything will be amazing as soon as you reach 12 weeks. I'm 16 weeks today and I'm still quite miserable 😓 very excited for the baby of course, just having a hard time during pregnancy.

Gaxy1 · 21/12/2020 09:29

Congratulations @MumToBeMaz

I’m 14 weeks and still had to get up to vomit last night. It’s definitely calming down but thought it would be gone by now.

Queenbee95 · 21/12/2020 18:34

Congrats @MumToBeMaz!!

@sunnysideup3 I thought everything was better from 14/15 weeks but the last week or two (now 21+3) have been awful. Feeling really sicky around late afternoon/tea time, just totally drained and not feeling right at all. 2nd tri is supposed to be a nice time as well!!

This pregnancy has been so different to my two boys

Buffbeag · 21/12/2020 23:28

@sunnysideup3 I still felt awful at 16 weeks. I'm nearly 20 weeks now and stopped feeling sick and queasy all the time.
However constantly tired and having round ligament pain so although some symptoms gone, new ones appear lol

CardiganBlobby · 04/01/2021 11:25

Hi ladies - happy new year to everyone! Hope everyone had a good break over the holidays where possible - I definitely feel much better for a few days off. So much easier being pregnant when not working Grin

Got my 20 week scan this week - feeling a bit anxious about it. Had a private gender scan just before Christmas (FV don't tell you) and found we are having a little girl! The sonographer was a consultant obstetrician too - she found quite a big fibroid in there too, and said the baby was a little small for my dates so since then I have just been worried on and off. She said I might have to go in for some growth monitoring and extra scans which I am trying to see as a good thing but it is still a worry for me.

Otherwise I am not feeling too bad just now - my bump has arrived a little more so I don't just look fat now Smile. I have some twinges and some days the bloating gets a little unbearable but other than tiredness I count myself lucky just now. Hope you are all doing well and looking after yourselves!

BabyBumpIncoming · 05/01/2021 10:38

Hi all,

Happy New Year! At least this one will definitely be better than last since we all get to meet our little bumps.

Question for any mums in NHS Lothian - if you have had your 16 wk appt did you get to hear heartbeat? I have mine on Thursday (although 17w today) and have seen other people haven't been given the option Hmm
