Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Buffbeag · 01/12/2020 20:28

@bubblybrit yeah she is super excited, she keeps talking about being a big sister. She is 6 so understands it all a bit more but still not sure she has figured out she will need to share her daddy haha.

bubblybrit · 01/12/2020 20:32

@Buffbeag. Ah that’s lovely that she is excited. Will feel like a long time to her as well. I felt as if I was pregnant with my DD for eternity! Hoping this pregnancy doesn’t feel as long lol 😂

Bearcub01 · 01/12/2020 20:33

@PinkRoses20 I don’t have an addressed envelope though. Is there an address on the form to send it to? I’ve left it with my notes I’ll need to check it!

PinkRoses20 · 01/12/2020 21:41

@Bearcub01 mine had the address etc printed on the back so it just folded up into an envelope (if that makes sense lol) i assumed they might be the same form but could be different. Mine did say the midwifes sent it on the top too but i didn't want to question it when she told me to post it 🙈

ScottishLassie91 · 02/12/2020 23:38

Hi all, been off of here for ages now but thought I'd rejoin! Finding out soon what we're having and super excited.
Also a total nerd looking at baby names by local authority in Scotland to see how popular our potential picks are where we live lol!
Hope everyone is doing okay xx

GrandTheftWalrus · 03/12/2020 14:00

Had a scan today. Say hello to baby walrus no 2.

bubblybrit · 03/12/2020 14:11

@GrandTheftWalrus. Hello baby walrus....looking good!

Wanderdust · 03/12/2020 14:24

@scottishlassie91 I've been doing that too! I found out the sex really early and I'm a little bit thrown to be having a boy TBH, had all girls name picked out and never imagined myself with a boy! So been having fun looking at names on the NRS site Smile All the names I love are quite common (think top 20) so it does put me off! At least I have lots of time to find a name that's not too weird but not too popular!

ScottishLassie91 · 03/12/2020 14:38

@Wanderdust oh how exciting!! 💙
I'm looking by my local council area now lol! 😂🙈 x One of our top picks for a boy is really popular in Scotland but in our local authority area its not even in the top 30 which I like lol! X

Buttercup20 · 03/12/2020 17:07

Scan went fine today, baby was facing out towards my belly so they struggled for a while trying to scan. Eventually managed it and everything is fine and my due date moved forward 4 days so I'm now the 9th June 😊

Queenbee95 · 03/12/2020 17:19

We’ve been looking at names recently. I really want to name her after my mum, which is my name also (do not want the name after myself though) but DH clearly doesn’t like it but just won’t actually tell me he doesn’t like it. He just keeps saying “it will be confusing”.
I want to name her after my mum because she has been my only constant in my life and we have a very close relationship. I am 1 of 9 children, I think this baby will be grandchild number 28? Also 4 greats.. and my mum has always commented on the fact that no one has ever even thought to name a baby after her..

Anyway I want Heather. But we’ve been looking at Elise which I really love and think is beautiful but I know I will be devastated if I can’t name baby after mum.. am I just a hormonal bitch or what? 😅

Buttercup20 · 03/12/2020 18:07

@Queenbee95 what about even having your mums name as the middle name?

PinkRoses20 · 03/12/2020 19:26

@GrandTheftWalrus lovely scan pic 😊😊

barbiemummy20 · 03/12/2020 19:58

We have our boys name however our DD does not like it and wants to call him Arlo 💙 we are currently telling her the name we like is her favourite character from descendants middle name to sway her 😂 I have finally stopped being sick and now just feeling a bit sick 👌🏻 feels like it has been the longest 18 weeks ever just keep thinking another 2 weeks and we are half way there 👌🏻👌🏻💙💙🙏🙏

bubblybrit · 03/12/2020 20:15

@Queenbee95. Choosing names is so difficult. I wanted my mums name as DDs middle name. However my DH felt that this was unfair on his mum. So we just chose a middle name that we liked to keep the peace. I’ll also kind of regret not sticking to my guns. Especially as he more or less chose her first name! I’ve decided that I am having the deciding vote this time although he doesn’t know that yet 😂

Gaxy1 · 03/12/2020 21:27

Picking a name is so hard. Have found a few girls names I like but struggling for a boy. My partner and I have both lost a parent so a girl will have his mums middle name, a boy will have my dads. Seems the fairest way of doing it.

ScottishLassie91 · 03/12/2020 21:54

Picking a name is so hard, DH has said now he isn't looking til we find out next week. We have a boys name we both like but girls names not so much. Only thing we know is if its a girl her middle name will be Margaret as that's MIL name and was also my great-grans name and gran and mum's middle name x

Gaxy1 · 04/12/2020 14:34

Has anyone found that having a cold has made their morning sickness worse? Not sure if it’s just me.

GrandTheftWalrus · 05/12/2020 11:12

When I was pregnant with dd I had a cold and was throwing up every time I coughed. It was the most sick I had been during the whole pregnancy.

Gaxy1 · 06/12/2020 08:41

@GrandTheftWalrus it’s awful isn’t it! I can’t wait to feel better in general.

MrsKMum · 06/12/2020 09:00

Have my 20 week scan on Tuesday, so excited to see Squidge again Smile

rosegoldivy · 07/12/2020 08:51

I am honestly so shit with keeping up on this.

If most peoples pregnancy is common knowledge ie if most of us are passed 12 weeks, would anyone be interested in joining a private Facebook group?

@buttercup20 how is your sickness? I went back to the docs and the prescribed me prochlorperazine and omg I feel almost human again!!!

How is everyone else feeling? Must be coming up for a lot of 20 week scans soon!

barbiemummy20 · 07/12/2020 09:13

@rosegoldivy good to see you back, I am the same I am rubbish at keeping up would defo be up for Facebook group! I have told friends and family but we have not posted on social media I am 18 weeks now got scan on 31st Dec, my sickness has more or less gone sometimes just feel a bit yuck! Hope you are well xx

ScottishLassie91 · 07/12/2020 09:13

@rosegoldivy not sure when you're due but there is a private group for May babies, I've been in it for a while and its fab and also totally private so no one knows you're in it x

Buttercup20 · 07/12/2020 09:15

@rosegoldivy I'm a million times better thanks. I had a little nausea yesterday for the first time in a good few days but went to bed and slept it off.
Glad you managed to get another type of medication and it's working for you 🙂 a private group sounds good to me 😊
