Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

@AnxiousAnnie86 oh I know it is just groundhog day now isn't it! I love my DS and OH but I really need to start interacting with other people as well now! 🙈 I'm looking forward to the scan but not the having to drink a pint of water by 7.30am 🤢

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/02/2021 17:47

@SS123456 same!!! I'm in at 8 but the water part is no fun!! I've got the fear for the scan too, I'm so scared something will be wrong x

@AnxiousAnnie86 @TheOrangeMonster
God I really hope shops do open soon. I can't wait to be able to try pranks out!
I've bought a few babygrows which I saw from supermarkets and H&M which are cute.
But I'm like you @AnxiousAnnie86 I want to be all organised and prepared. My friends baby came 5 weeks early so you just never know!

My 20 week scan is the 4th March, I can't wait!! I feel weeks are going quick for me since week 13. I blink and another week is gone haha.

TheOrangeMonster · 10/02/2021 15:15

@AnxiousAnnie86 @SS123456 it's literally crawling - I feel like every day is slower and slower! I'm ten weeks tomorrow and waiting another two to get to that 12 week scan feels like it's impossible! So 20 just sounds like a number I can't even imagine right now! 😅

I actively dislike Nando's normally 🤣 not really having any particular cravings though I'm glad the food aversions are fading. I reckon placenta has taken over which might be the reason.

Blossom428 · 12/02/2021 12:01

I felt like that too @TheOrangeMonster but then after 12 weeks, the weeks now are flying by.

Had my 16weeks midwife appt yesterday(at 17weeks). They didn't listen to the heartbeat though which was sad.
She's next booked me in for 15th April, I will be 26weeks then- I thought it was meant to be 25weeks? Do you think this will make any difference? I know it's only a week, but they start measuring don't they?

SS123456 · 12/02/2021 12:19

Everything was looking good at my scan this morning. Baby was measuring at 12+1 😁❤️

TheOrangeMonster · 12/02/2021 12:22

@Blossom428 I don't have any previous experience to go off but my midwife took one look at the date of my dating scan (14 weeks) and said "that's far too late" and moved it to 12 weeks straight away. If you're worried maybe drop them a message and double check it's ok - if it'll be a problem I'm sure they'll say so and move it for you. On the badgernet app it says there should be a scan at 20 weeks and an appointment at 28 weeks.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/02/2021 12:36

@SS123456 awww so pleased everything went well, it's such a relief isn't it

I had my scan this morn too! Baby is absolutely perfect and everything was great! I've been referred for an mri on 2nd of March as I have a low lying anterior placenta and they couldn't tell if placenta is attached to old scar tissue so I'm
Worried about that now!!!!

4 weeks today!

@AnxiousAnnie86 great news! 😁❤️. Fingers crossed all is ok with the placenta though 🤞🏻

I was hoping to see a nub as I'm desperate to know if we are team pink or blue but no such luck 🙈

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/02/2021 14:37

@SS123456 I was trying to make it out too!!!! Do you have a preference x

SS123456 · 12/02/2021 16:17

@AnxiousAnnie86 aside from just wanting a healthy baby etc I REALLY still want a girl. I have the one DS and as awful as I feel saying it I was crazy disappointed when I was told he was a boy. I wouldn't change him for the world now and I soon got over it but this is my last baby so I'm longing for a girl even more now 🤞🏻

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/02/2021 16:23

@SS123456 awww well I have absolutely everything crossed for you!!!! I reallt wanted a girl, but had a feeling I was having a boy, did they tell you heart rate at any point as my midwife says that can be an indicator!? There is a thread on mumsnet and the woman swears she always gets it right 😂 I will tag you xx

OP posts:
SS123456 · 12/02/2021 16:29

@AnxiousAnnie86 thank you 😊. I didn't get told the heart rate at this scan but on my 7 week one they said it was 144bpm which I think indicates a girl but who knows!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 12/02/2021 16:39

@SS123456 they do say over 144 means girl! There's loads of old wives too! I have gotten really bad sports this pregnancy which indicated a girl and feel so so sick!!! X

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 12/02/2021 16:59

@SS123456 statistically speaking for every 100 girls born there are 105 boys born. Additionally it has been scientifically proven that sperm carrying the female chromosome are "hardier" and sperm carrying the male chromosome are faster, meaning that there could be a very slight predisposition towards a female sperm reaching the egg if sex occurred two or more days before ovulation, and a very slight predisposition towards a male sperm reaching the egg if sex occurred on the day of ovulation.
At 12 weeks a boy baby's genitals look almost identical to a girl baby's genitals - so don't be too disheartened that there's nothing to make out.
Hopefully at your 20 week scan they can tell you, and fingers crossed you get the little girl you want!

Blossom428 · 12/02/2021 22:15

Yeahh I'll message and ask @TheOrangeMonster

@SS123456 ☺️☺️ so glad you are growing a healthy little bean! The heart rate for mine at 7weeks was 161 so quite high1 indicating a girl on old wives tales. So time will tell haha.

@AnxiousAnnie86 awww bet it was so nice to see baby again! Least they are checking on the placenta further to find out exactly where it is. I know if it's low they say you can't have a normal birth, but not sure about the scar tissue. They do say they can move upwards though so hopefully this will be the case.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 13/02/2021 08:55

@Blossom428 mine was 166 at 8 weeks, they said yest she is very very much a girl! So we are certain now!

Issue is if it has attached to scar tissue it can't move, and it's a serious operation generally resulting in a hysterectomy at the same time! So I'm terrified of that as definitely want more children!!! Anyway! Baby is perfect absolutely perfect at the moment! Which was my main f we, so just trying to focus on that for now and see what the appointment brings on 2nd March :(

How much longer till your scan?? I know you told me I'm so sorry but I can't remember!!! X

Klprr93 · 15/02/2021 18:22

I'm having a girl I had a private gender scan. Im 16 and half weeks now. I still worry every day. I hope you are all OK

AnxiousAnnie86 · 15/02/2021 18:56

@Klprr93 aw yaaaayy congratulations!!! Look at that perfect picture!! I still worry too I don't think it will ever stop, I haven't felt her move all day today and I'm panicking! Xxx

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 15/02/2021 23:13

Awww another girl in the group @Klprr93 congrats 💞

@AnxiousAnnie86 sorry to hear about what you are going through. I really hope it isn't attached to the scar tissue. But amazing to hear your little one is perfectly healthy which is most important.
My scans on 4th March, so just hoping all is well. I've been feeling little flutters nearly daily now and my bump is certainly growing too. Trying not to over think and worry, thinking positive ☺️☺️

AnxiousAnnie86 · 16/02/2021 07:50

@Blossom428 thank you jusy trying to put it to the back of my mind for now! So exciting about the movements!! Only a couple of weeks until you find out!!

I haven't felt her move still and I'm starting to panic now.... oh and my morning sickness has returned!!! X

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 16/02/2021 08:06

Did they say you have an anterior placenta?
I can only feel the flutters if I sit very still and really focus on my belly, usually after I've had something to eat haha. Otherwise I probably wouldn't feel them as only very slight.
Ohh nooo, Asif the sickness has come back! That's not good at all. 😔 @AnxiousAnnie86

AnxiousAnnie86 · 16/02/2021 08:27

@Blossom428 yeah I do unfortunately so I know that can effect movements but I've been feeling them very clearly, maybe she's just shifted!

Are you excited to find out what you are having? Have you any names in mind? Xx

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 16/02/2021 10:25

@AnxiousAnnie86 yeah maybe she's just moved places so more above where the placenta is. I'm only feeling them very low down. Can't wait for a proper kick haha- although I'll be regretting that when they are kicking me in the ribs haha.
I can't wait to find out- I keep switching between girl and boy, and I really don't know anymore. Everyone is saying different things too.
We've got a few names- well should I say I have, but haven't sat down and gone through them with OH yet, think we'll wait till we know and then go from there.
Did you say you have chosen a name?

AnxiousAnnie86 · 16/02/2021 10:40

@Blossom428 no we can't agree!!! The only two we have agreed on that we think are "okay" are Connie and Eleanor but not feeling either is the one! We would like three or four then when she's born see what she looks like! Have you got a photo of your latest scan? I will take a guess 😂 do you have a preference? X
