Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

@SS123456 I really like Eleanor the full name and then when she's born see what nickname suits her, I like Nell as a nickname too x

I know it’s like why do they care what you call your child when they don’t know you personally. Also isn’t everyone allowed to like different things? Some people are deluded! Have to laugh at them.

I know well I was dead set on a girls name an as much as I love my boys name I’m still like right are we definitely sure...but every other name we think of it comes back to...I don’t like it as much as Teddy though, so it must be the name (if this makes sense!) also I think when they are here, they will suit their little names an it will all fit together perfectly 🥰xx

AnxiousAnnie86 · 31/01/2021 12:38

@Mctm123 we loved all the names with the eee sounding end, Teddie, Tommy, Freddie, Frankie, Dougie, we eventually decided on Stanley for a boy and honestly nothing anyone would of said would of put me off it x

@AnxiousAnnie86 Nell is cute 😁

Mctm123 · 31/01/2021 12:41

Aww I love all them names too...we have a Toby already so thought Teddy goes lovely for a sibling. Funny actually, this morning Toby suggested Dougie what you have on your list but that is just because of CBeebies!

Mctm123 · 31/01/2021 12:42

In fact Toby is Toby Thomas...another variant on your list 😊

SS123456 · 31/01/2021 13:00

@Mctm123 I love Toby too but my OH isn't so keen

AnxiousAnnie86 · 31/01/2021 13:32

@Mctm123 Toby and Teddy is so so cute!!!! X

It’s nice to have names related to a family member. Thomas is my dads name so this time we will give Teddy my partners dads name which is Peter as a middle name. Plus my grandad was Edward so Teddy is obviously a version of that too xx

Mctm123 · 31/01/2021 16:13

@SS123456 it’s so hard to agree isn’t it!! X

AnxiousAnnie86 · 31/01/2021 16:27

@Mctm123 @SS123456 ThAts the hardest part!!! I say names alllll the time and dh just says no, but never ever suggests anything at all!!! X

@Mctm123 @AnxiousAnnie86 my partner seems to like foreign names, which I have nothing against if you have a link to the country/culture, but naming my child with a stand out foreign name randomly just feels funny. (i.e Sergio, Alessandro etc). We are both British with no real family links to other countries. It's tricky as well when you need to semi match it to a sibling too. My son is Jaiden

AnxiousAnnie86 · 31/01/2021 16:51

@SS123456 how long till you find out if it's a boy or girl? X

SS123456 · 31/01/2021 16:55

@AnxiousAnnie86 A little while yet as I am only 10 weeks. I can't see anywhere privately locally doing gender scans during lockdown (it says they are not allowed to do them) so it may have to wait until the 20 week NHS one annoyingly

AnxiousAnnie86 · 31/01/2021 17:03

@SS123456 ours said the same, but said it was a reassurance scan where they would tell you gender if they could see it!!! Have you called them x

@Mctm123 my Grandfather was called Edward and his buddies in the army used to call him Ted. It everyone else used his middle name Arthur. I quite like Arthur as a middle name - but at the moment if a name comes up I like I'm just making a note of it to myself because we think we're going to discuss names in the 3rd Trimester. I'm not sure if DH has even thought of any (except the ones he thinks are stupid).
We told DH's parents yesterday after the successful scan and it was so lovely to see how happy and excited they are.

TheOrangeMonster · 02/02/2021 11:16

Does anyone know if it's normal to not have a dating scan until 14 weeks? I thought it was supposed to be 10-12? Just received my appointment and it's in Mid March!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 02/02/2021 11:59

@TheOrangeMonster it's later then they would normally I think.... mine was at 13 weeks xx

OP posts:
SS123456 · 02/02/2021 13:33

@TheOrangeMonster I think they normally say it should fall between weeks 10 and 14

TheOrangeMonster · 02/02/2021 16:57

@SS123456 @AnxiousAnnie86 Thanks, I'll ask the midwife at my booking appointment tomorrow. If I mention that at my early scan they dated me 8+2 (so I'm 8+5 ish now) she might say they need to bring it forward a week or so anyway. Hope you guys are doing ok?

Blossom428 · 02/02/2021 19:41

Yeah I had mine when I was 12+6, but I know some places are pushing back due to covid. @TheOrangeMonster worth asking though for sure!!

I'm all good thanks, keep getting a foggy headache type thing though which is annoying.
Also, I know it's really early and I don't know if it can be if they have said my placenta might be anterior, but I felt like a brushing feeling a couple of inches below my belly button before, happened a couple of times and just felt weird. I'm dying to feel something, but don't know if it was just like trapped air or whatever.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 02/02/2021 21:27

@Blossom428 I've been feeling movement since about 15 weeks, but I know you can feel
It earlier wirh a second, at first mine felt like a little turning feeling, I'm getting less of that now more like kicks, how far gone are you now? Xx

OP posts:
AnxiousAnnie86 · 02/02/2021 21:31

Maybe 14 weeks x

OP posts:
Blossom428 · 03/02/2021 08:06

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow. @AnxiousAnnie86
I'll have to see if I feel the same feeling again today to determine if it was or not. Very strange though.
Are you 20weeks now? Or coming up to it? When's your 20week scan?
