Hi ladies! New to this board just moved over from conception! Cannot quite believe it! I'm panicking as it's been a year (exactly!!) Since my miscarriage, and now I have backache and light cramps! Is that normal at four weeks can anyone put my mind at ease? X

Yeah next week is my 20 week scan, I felt my daughter move around 17 weeks, I could well of felt it before but I didn't notice, I'm feeling movement for sure now some days really frequently others only once or twice! 16 weeks! Oh my gosh! You are so close to finding out! I had my gender scan at 16 weeks x

@Blossom428 Well, she phoned up while I was with her and rearranged it for me because she said it was too late, they must've got muddled up somehow. So now it's at 12 weeks exactly.
My notes say "high risk" I think because of the NCCAH, but she seemed to be most concerned about the anxiety.

Anyway, I'm having a phone call with obstetrician later today and she thinks that that will help clear a few things up but in the meantime she thinks I should have another private scan at 16 weeks to see things in small, manageable stages - to help with the anxiety.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 03/02/2021 13:48

@TheOrangeMonster I had really really bad anxiety with my first it created migraines, I saw a consultant and was consultant led and it made things a lot better, they've put me back on consultant led this time too xx

Blossom428 · 03/02/2021 16:29

@AnxiousAnnie86 well with them saying possible anterior placenta I wasn't sure I would feel something, but I haven't felt the same feeling again yet today. It's around the same time now, so I'm sat really still waiting haha.
Decided to not have an early scan and just hold it out untill 20weeks 🙈 I feel the weeks are going quicker now though which is good!

@TheOrangeMonster glad they've brought the appointment forward!! It's good you had the confidence to ring and question this!

TheOrangeMonster · 03/02/2021 18:42

@AnxiousAnnie86 @Blossom428 After this afternoon I feel a lot better - they are going to pull me in for really regular scans because (quite amusingly) my NCCAH seems to be getting them professionally excited. Apparently they rarely come across it in the context of someone who got pregnant unassisted so there are two consultants from a big city specialist hospital "near" us who want in! 😂 She said "you're a very special lady, you're going to have a very big team of people interested in you". Ha ha!

So whilst there are a few risks and bits and bobs and a fair amount of meds I'll have to go on from 13 weeks which I didn't even know about, it's going to be about as under control as it can possibly be.

@Blossom428 could be! They say it's like a weird little flutter to start with?

Blossom428 · 03/02/2021 22:05

Wow that's positive to hear because I know you were worried about no one being contact with you. So leaat they can Keep monitoring to see how things are progressing. Hopefully you will find out more as time goes on. @TheOrangeMonster

I had the same feeling again this evening so it's making me sway more towards it is baby. I'll keep seeing though over the next few days. Certainly makes me feel excited!! And the fact my little H&M haul arrived today with so many cute mini bits in 😆😆😆 couldn't resist!!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 04/02/2021 07:26

@TheOrangeMonster I'm glad the are monitoring you!! That's such good news and I bet time will fly for you now!!

@Blossom428 ooooh there's so many clothes on h and m I want and Zara, got them all saved, we've started buying a couple of bits, but not much. I'm struggling as everything is very much winter still and baby will be here in June! X

Hi Ladies,
Been looking for a thrad i can get advice on...

My period is due tomorrow (fri) based on 28 day cycle i am very regular and even on the implant i was regular which i had out at the end of my last period on 13th jan.
I got the app amd we started trying all the high chance days... for over 2 weeks now i have had tummy cramps/twinges. My boobs have been tender and my milk ducts round areolas have become more prominent and wrinkly...4 days ago i had a bleed of dark and red blood lasting 1 day and a half. (Last sun-mon) i then get a more brown discharge for a day or 2 and now it is juat clear is my CM.
2 days ago (tue) i felt unwell i had nausea and dizzy and had eaten tea so not through hunger.
I have got motion sickness riding my horse today which hasnt happened before and i have started urinating more today prob every 1hr at least i feel i want a wee then aometimes not alot comes out and sometimes it does.
I have tested and its a BFN. Getting me down as juat wish AF would come or i would get a BFP 🤷🏼‍♀️
What do you guys think? X

Blossom428 · 05/02/2021 11:34

Hi.... it's awful to feel like this during the 2WW and the waiting for a BFP is torture I found.
Unfortunately PMS and BFP symptoms are very similar so hard to tell the difference between. I personally had pretty much no symptoms before I got my BFP on 12dpo (I have very short cycles).
I would wait till AF is due tomorrow and can try test again. Try not to be so disheartened if you have only just had the implant out, it may take a few months for your body to regulate itself again.
However you aren't out untill AF turns up so 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Sammy12xx · 05/02/2021 11:58

Thanks for your reply, tested early this morning and bfn again was unsettled in yhe night had trapped wind and some indegestion... no AF yet 🤞🏻 x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 05/02/2021 13:07

@Sammy12xx have you used opks to confirm ovulation? The apps would always of been out for me as my ovulation varied so much! I wouldn't of had a chance if I only used them!!! X

OP posts:
Sammy12xx · 05/02/2021 13:09

Hi , no i havent used them. Everythings all new to me but i had bleeding 5 days ago then nothing and my tummys full all the time and im wanting the loo every 40mins x
Have had pulling and twinging in my tummy for 3 weeks now x

TheOrangeMonster · 05/02/2021 17:42

Hi @Sammy12xx. I agree with @Blossom428 about
PMS and BfP having very similar symptoms. To be honest with you all the time I was TTC I had every symptom you can think of, and when I finally conceived I got a nosebleed, and that was really the only thing that was any different.

If you've been having odd sensations for three weeks now and AF isn't late yet then it sounds like it might possibly be something else - no matter how long your cycle is you would ovulate a certain number of days before your period and that part of your cycle - the luteal phase - is always the same to within about two days, even if you have totally wacky cycle length from one to the next.

My best guess is that if you've only recently had your implant out (remember it can take up to a year for things to normalise) then it might be something to do with that - maybe your body is getting you used to natural hormones again.

There's a really excellent TTC thread a lot of us here were on for a while, I'll tag you in that one too in case anyone there is going through a similar thing and can advise.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll get your answer one way or another soon - I'm sorry it's causing stress and confusion 😟

Sammy12xx · 05/02/2021 19:22

Thankyou... AF still not here and im weeing every hour which is not normal for me and def not an infection. Maybe hormones will just have to wait it out and see x

Thanks for your advice xx

Blossom428 · 07/02/2021 09:42

So looking at sleeping.... I've seen quite a few people use the love to dream swaddle bags, what will you guys use for nighttime? Or just a normal blanket?

Sammy12xx · 07/02/2021 10:24

Hi ladies i tested yesterday at 5pm as was sick of keeping going to the loo and yhe slightest line has shown so fingers crossed it gets darker 🤞🏻 x

Congratulations @Sammy12xx that's amazing to see a line!!

@AnxiousAnnie86 Yeahh we have a snuzpod my friend is giving me that'll just buy a new mattress for.
Yes I also looked at the gro bags. So hard to know as they are due summer and what the weather will be like. But still need to keep them warm.
Like for clothes too, I've bought a few babygrows, and short sleeved vests. Trying not to buy too much but can't help it when o see things haha 🙈🙈
V excited to try out the travel systems when we can. Do you know what one you are getting? I've got a few on my list to try- nuna, oyster3, ikklebubba, m&p occarro.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 07/02/2021 20:18

@Blossom428 we've bought our travel system, it's the only big thing we've bought, as it was on sale, we got this one...

We are just going to buy long sleeve vests and short sleeve vests for bedtime, I think with a low tog and medium tog sleeping bag it should be fine,

@AnxiousAnnie86 @Blossom428 you guys are so organised!
The furthest I've got it "at some point this year I need to buy something for the new human". 😂
Getting my flu jab this morning as per midwife's instructions. A bit concerned I'll get side effects due to reduced immune system and be ill when chances of catching the flu are like 0.1% at the moment anyway..... haha.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/02/2021 09:24

@TheOrangeMonster I'm really not organised! We've literally got the pram and a few bits of clothes!! I really want to be fully ready at 34 weeks, so we have 13 weeks to get everything 😂 I keep hoping the shops will open within that time and me and dh can go shopping... x

OP posts:
TheOrangeMonster · 09/02/2021 11:11

@AnxiousAnnie86 yeah having to buy everything online is a bit of a pain, it's better to see it in person.

You're 21 weeks now? Exciting! You must be getting a bump by now!

I've got a bloat 😂 and really bad indigestion but the food aversions are really starting to soften a bit which is good. Still got 2 weeks and 1 day before I'm 12 weeks and "out of the woods".

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/02/2021 16:14

@TheOrangeMonster yeah have a bump and can feel her kicking now! Have my 20 week scan on Friday which I'm so so nervous about!

When I was at your point the only thing I wanted and still do tbf is Nando's!!! It's all I can think about!!!! You can take rennies!! I didn't know the midwife told me x

OP posts:
SS123456 · 09/02/2021 16:58

@AnxiousAnnie86 your 20 week scan has come around quick 😁. I have my 12 week scan on Friday x

AnxiousAnnie86 · 09/02/2021 17:02

@SS123456 I feel like it's been really slow!! I feel like this pregnancy is going so slow!!!! Think lockdown isn't helping with that!

Awww are you excited?? I loved our 12 week scan the photo was so so clear xx
