Hand hold to @Sitchervice and @bex757 sorry you’re both having such a difficult time Flowers

thefishthatcouldwish · 26/10/2020 13:06

@WeavingWandering am pregnant too after a cycle of ivf.
I had brown spotting then some bleeding At about 6 weeks. I was on pessaries too.

Had a scan at EPU which showed one growing bean with a heart beat. I had a double transfer do so for me the scanner thought the bleeding was the other embryo.

Some of my symptoms have come and gone throughout but the midwife said that’s hormones going up and down. Last few days I have been very sick feeling.

See if clinic will bring forward scan. I am finding things tricky too and every twinge is hard not to worry about. I just want to be excited by it. Please try not
to worry too much I know it’s really hard. Hope that ramble makes sense 😀.

bex757 · 26/10/2020 15:08

So going to hospital at 5pm tonight as they currently don't have any beds!

Hayz2020 · 26/10/2020 15:34

Had a scan today! It was private as I really needed some reassurance. Baby is measuring further along than my dates had calculated which means SO much due to the fact I am suffering with Hyperemisis and a day closer to a day I can live normally again is great news!
Heart beat was strong and visible and all looks good! Over 8 weeks now. Bring on the week I can wake up and not wretch 100 times in an hour 😁
To anyone suffering with bad sickness and nausea, I have been prescribed meds which sort of help (not a fix though) but I found having a Vitamin B complex everyday has started to help the all day nausea and I’m managing to keep food down!

LBee2020 · 26/10/2020 17:07

Hi everyone. Just jumping on to mark my place. I am around 5+3 with our first baby. I dont have any symptoms other than the occasional cramp so it's hard to believe it's real. I've done 2 tests so far but going to pop out and get some more later for a bit of reassurance!

GeeHO98 · 26/10/2020 17:37

Anyone else having period like belly ache? Been having it more over last few days on and off but lots today I'm 6 weeks

MrsK21 · 26/10/2020 18:08

@Hayz2020 any particular b vitamin you're taking? Would be grateful if you could share (I'm also suffering from HG 😞) x

Northernlass101 · 26/10/2020 18:15

Baby update:

Just had my scan I'm 5 weeks and 5 days I must of ovulated a week later as I should of been 6 weeks and 5 days.

I got to see and hear the heartbeat was very surreal. Everything looking normal.

Apart from vomiting 3 times this morning and feeling like a bag of shit cramping all the time with a UTI seeing that makes it worth it.

🥰😍🥰😍

Dragonfly92 · 26/10/2020 19:30

@bex757 I hope the hospital are able to help with the sickness and you feel better soon!

@GeeH098 I've had mild cramping on and off since I found out I was pregnant, which was 2 weeks ago. Currently 6 + 3. I've read that it can be from where your body is stretching to make room for everything.

PinkPlantCase · 26/10/2020 19:39

So exciting hearing about everyone’s scans 😍 😍 are they abdominal or vaginal at this stage? Non of the private ultrasound places really say on the website

swiftt · 26/10/2020 19:49

@PinkPlantCase mine was abdominal but they did say they might need to do vaginal if they can’t see everything clearly x

Hbw18 · 26/10/2020 20:01

Hi everyone just moved over from the other thread 😊 I'm around 9 weeks so due at the beginning of June. I've got my booking appt call on Wednesday and I went for a private scan last week which was all positive. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly!

Mine was vaginal which I was a bit nervous about but really needn't have been. It was totally fine and it meant they could get a really clear look :)
PinkPlantCase · 26/10/2020 20:24

Thanks both! Im a bit squeamish about the idea though suppose we need to not worry too much about vaginal things considering what’s ahead 😂

We’ve booked a scan for 8+1 and I’m looking forward to it so much. Once we’ve seen the little heartbeat we’ll tell our parents 😁🤞

thefishthatcouldwish · 26/10/2020 20:29

Could be either vaginal or abdominal but honestly the vaginal one isn’t bad at all.

Northernlass101 · 26/10/2020 20:43

@PinkPlantCase mine was endovaginal? If that's how you spell it! ❤️

Scarftown · 26/10/2020 21:09

When did (if you have) tell parents etc? So far we haven’t told anyone. We are seeing both families this weekend and debating “announcing” it but I’m only 7 weeks and that seems a long time of lots of faffing and attention and I am more a “leave me in peace” kind of girl. They don’t know we have been TTC so they will be surprised but happy.

Bleubird · 26/10/2020 21:27

@GeeHO98 I've been having constant period type pain which seems to worsen in the evenings. I've read it can be due to stretching and is quite common.

Orlandoflorida1 · 26/10/2020 21:29

@Scarftown we won’t tell anyone until 12 weeks it’s hard but like you say I’m not one for a fuss!

MumToBeMaz · 26/10/2020 21:30

Unfortunately I didn't get good news tonight at my scan.
I'll be ending my journey here girls.

Wishing you all the best in your own journeys.

MrsV2018 · 26/10/2020 21:30

Has anyone had the flu jab yet? I'm not sure what to do. I'm a bit worried about the effects of flu jab as I've never had one before and have heard that the first one can make you feel really rough. And I feel pretty rough already.

pookypup · 26/10/2020 21:44

@MumToBeMaz so sorry to read your news. The very best of luck for the future Flowers

thefishthatcouldwish · 26/10/2020 22:00

@MumToBeMaz am sorry to hear that. Take some time for yourself.

@MrsV2018 I had mine on Friday ( at midwife visit) and my arm had been lumpy and achey ever since. I work in education so felt maybe I should have one. Not had one before either.

pookypup · 26/10/2020 22:05

@MrsV2018 I had flu jab just after BFP, as I’m a teacher. Felt fine afterwards, no problems at all.
