Hello, just found this thread 😊 took a pregnancy test on Friday and was so shocked it was positive! Came off the pill in August to start TTC, I’d convinced myself I wouldn’t be able to due to long cycles and painful periods before the pill. Had my first proper period 4th September. Had cramping the week that my next period was due but no period came, took tests on 3rd and 5th October, negatives. I’ve been willing my period to come and been so upset thinking my cycles are messed up, little did I know! I’ve had very strong positives and 3 weeks plus on a clearblue. I’ve also got horrible nausea, faintness, fatigue, spots, sore boobs, started last weekend and has got a lot worse now. The symptoms and dates make me think I am likely to be around 7 weeks, which would fit with my period, but I’m confused as to why the tests were negative a few weeks back! I think the cramping must’ve been implantation.
Having an early private scan on Friday, very nervous about it 😬 hope you’re all feeling okay and excited!

PinkPlantCase · 25/10/2020 11:42

@pookypup I find that nausea varies a lot day by day, somedays I won't mind it and it doesn't feel so bad, other days I want to just laze about on the sofa.

I woke up because of abdominal pain last night Sad it was in my belly and the top of my thighs, I didn't have any bleeding and the pain wasn't severe so didn't think there was much point in calling a doctor.

Hopefully its just normal pregnancy belly stretching pain. It wasn't any more on one side than the other and I still feel sick today. I think we'll book an early scan for 8 weeks so DH can be there. I'm 6+4 at the minute.

swiftt · 25/10/2020 13:26

Just about to leave for my early scan and I’m so, so nervous!

Hey I'm experiencing the exact same thing ridiculous PAIN like super severe doctors keep saying it's fine it normal stretching pains.

It feels horrible!

Isit2021yetplease · 25/10/2020 13:34

Symptoms are a minefield aren’t they! I have barely any - and while I’m thankful in some ways for that, I wake up every morning willing and praying I’ll feel sick so I at least have some sign I’m actually pregnant and it’s not in my head. The lack of physical symptoms is replaced with a lot of mental anxiety about why no symptoms!! I really feel for all those with such bad nausea though

Rodri83 · 25/10/2020 14:11

@Isit2021yetplease , that’s exactly how I feel makes me feel better I’m not the only one ,

Bbdm1984 · 25/10/2020 14:35

Good luck @swiftt hope everything goes well xx

WeavingWandering · 25/10/2020 14:40

6wks+ 4 days... all my symptoms have suddenly stopped - should I be panicking as much as I am?

Just had a call from the doctors I have a UTI hence extreme pains down below!

Get checked out 💐

MumToBeMaz · 25/10/2020 14:48

@swiftt Thinking of you!

@Isit2021yetplease That's exactly how I feel. Even every little symptom I do have I seem to find another reason for it. Like, I'm constipated but I had issues about a year ago so maybe it's that and not pregnancy related?
Or some days I feel absolutely no motivation to do anything but call myself lazy and try and force myself up instead of thinking it's pregnancy related fatigue.

Can't think of anything to explain my boobs though. They've been sore since day 1!

AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 15:23

@Northernlass101 Did they send your urine off or do a dipstick test? Crazy how they phoned you on a Sunday!

I'm living in a diff country atm and it's a private hospital! They are v good here, Id been there so many time last week in horrific pain and there was no explanations apart from the old it's stretching pains!

I had a lab test done to check my Urine ❤️

swiftt · 25/10/2020 16:47

My scan went great! Measuring bang on 7 weeks and saw the heartbeat fluttering away. Smile

MumToBeMaz · 25/10/2020 17:01

How exciting @swiftt. I'm delighted for you.

Shewasjustawish · 25/10/2020 17:19

Hey! Hope you don't mind me joining. Got my positive last weekend and it's only just sinking in. I'm 5+1 today and due on the 26th of June Smile Haven't had much in the way of symptoms so far but have been having some occasional cramp-like pains and backache which is setting me on edge!
Hope you are all keeping well Smile

pookypup · 25/10/2020 17:20

Thank you all those who reassured me that it’s ok to not feel sick all the time. After 5 years TTC I genuinely don’t think I could possibly end up having a baby! Grin. DH is starting to get excited now, but I still don’t think it’s real.

@PinkPlantCase I hope the pain was a UTI too, or not anything too worrying. I get mild pains but nothing like you describe, it must have been really worrying.

PinkPlantCase · 25/10/2020 18:01

I was tested for a UTI about a week and a half ago when I thought I had thrush and that came back clear (for the UTI). I guess I could have another one by now but I’ve never really had them before.

I am starting to look like I have a bit of a bump already so thinking it could have been things stretching. Only about a week and a half to wait until an 8 week scan so am keeping everything crossed until then!

Bbdm1984 · 25/10/2020 18:51

@PinkPlantCase taking of thrush are we ok to use the cream to help get rid? I used some last night then worried because i didnt know if it was ok to do so. @shiftt congratulations thats brilliant news

PinkPlantCase · 25/10/2020 19:11

@Bbdm1984 the cream and pessarys are allowed but the oral tablet isn’t. That was the advice of my GP anyway!

AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 19:21

I had thrush a couple of weeks ago alongside the UTI (the latter still hanging around) I just used some Yeovalley organic yoghurt and it cleared up within 2 days :)

@Northernlass101 interesting :) Where are you ?

GanderousGoose · 25/10/2020 19:26

I am having a really anxious day, just dwelling on everything that could go wrong: 1. I'm 40 2. I'm overweight 3. I've had previous LLETZ. Today, I'm getting low abdo pain, just mild, no bleeding but a discharge that's a bit different from usual (thicker with sort of solidy yellow bits) but only a tiny amount has come out. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and found out at 9dpo and just feel like the time is dragging to 12 weeks, when I might be able to relax just slightly...

AlRRRR · 25/10/2020 20:03

@GanderousGoose Could be Thrush ? You can always make a dr's app if you're worried or ask for an early midwives app if they see you at 8 weeks anyway?

GanderousGoose · 25/10/2020 21:50

Doesn't feel like thrush but suppose it could be. I don't know when I will actually see a midwife - first appt is telephone booking in at 9 weeks!

AlRRRR · 26/10/2020 06:07

@GanderousGoose oh so you don’t get to see the Midwife? That’s shocking!!!!!!!! We can go to a pub and eat but can’t see a midwife face to face 😲

AlRRRR · 26/10/2020 06:08

Morning all. Woke up this morning with a sour taste in my mouth.... I have a cold (had neg covid test last sunday) So could be that but does anyone else have a funny taste?
