@pookypup it is the 12th 😊 we are age and due date twins!

I wonder if we will actually be? My MW said they don't let 40+ mum's go beyond 41wks, but I had DS the day after his due date as he was induced at 40wks due to his size. My babies have been bigger each time so I imagine this one will be huge too.

SarahTTC2020 · 15/11/2020 15:20

@PurpleishDahlia my midwife said it needs to be done between 11+6 and 13+6 so that should be fine

PurpleishDahlia · 15/11/2020 15:43

@SarahTTC2020ttc thank you, I won't bother them then 💝

AnnaPosie · 15/11/2020 15:47

@Penny2020

@Madi6

@Seedofpoppy

Thanks for your lovely words girls, I'm so over her now and just glad I got a chance to see the little baba 😊

AnnaPosie · 15/11/2020 15:53

@Bs93 even though I didn't have a great experience with the person doing my scan as she was funny about me being 9 w and not 12 w but I'm so so glad I had the scan and got an extra peek so definitely go ahead and just pretend you got your dates mixed up 😂😊

MRJ86 · 15/11/2020 16:06

Hi Everyone!
I've not posted on here much, but have been following! I had a miscarriage on 18th September and fell pregnant straight after (before I had AF). I've felt ok - nausea and headaches but nothing ridiculous...except the extreme exhaustion! Anyway, I wanted to go for an early scan to try and date it all a bit better, as hard without having a period. I thought I was around 8 weeks. Had my scan this morning and they confirmed 8w1 and 8w2. YES - they confirmed twins. I can't believe it. I'm in a state of shock. My poor husband is also in a state of shock! Hoping everything goes well from here on out. We're not telling our family until 12 week scan so wanted to share with you ladies! XXXXXX

AnnaPosie · 15/11/2020 16:15

@MRJ86 ah that's absolutely fantastic news! Twins ! How incredibly special, especially after the MC.

PinkPlantCase · 15/11/2020 16:47

@MRJ86 what lovely news!! Congratulations 🥳

@PurpleishDahlia I had a private scan that put me a week ahead. I would have been 13+5 for my 12 week scan. I rang the booking line and they rearranged my scan for exactly 12 weeks. And they were lovely about it! Definitely worth asking if they can move it x

maloney123 · 15/11/2020 19:51

@MRJ86 that’s amazing news, congratulations!!

Bs93 · 15/11/2020 20:07

@MRJ86 omg!! Congratulations!! Must be such a shock haha but amazing news 😊

America5 · 15/11/2020 20:18

@MRJ86 awww, amazing!! Congratulations to you🥰💗💙

Dragonfly92 · 15/11/2020 20:50

@MRJ86 that's amazing news! Congratulations!!

GanderousGoose · 15/11/2020 20:52

@pookypup that actually sounds great - how did you come across it?

pookypup · 15/11/2020 22:06

@GanderousGoose I came across them just by searching on google. It’s a 45 min drive from me (the scanning room in Hayward’s Heath - Sussex) and cost a bit more than the national chains, but the reviews were good. They just have a team of midwives who I assume do it as a side job around their shifts. I wanted somewhere that I thought were more likely to be helpful if it was bad news at a scan.

I assume that if you hunt around there might be similar places in other areas.

pookypup · 15/11/2020 22:12

@MRJ86 amazing! I was wondering the other day if anyone might have twins on here. Smile

@BurningBenches maybe - though my other 2 dc were ELCS as I seem to specialise in breach babies. At booking in I was advised to have another section, so I’ll be delivering before the 12th. Don’t fancy being overdue in the hot summer! Always had winter babies before.

rusticpink · 16/11/2020 02:52

Hey, hope you don't mind if I join I found out a few days ago I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby, over the moon! Going off my LMP I'm due 16/07/21, congrats to everyone and I'm wishing us all happy healthy pregnancy's xx

BurningBenches · 16/11/2020 09:52

@pookypup ah we defo won't be twins then, my babies are always late and need evicting. I've been induced with 3 out of the 4. DS was the earliest induced on his due date due to his size.

My eldest 2 are winter born, 3rd is spring and baby DS is August. The best one in terms of temperature was my spring one although the day she was born was the hottest April day ever!

Jen8888 · 16/11/2020 10:00

Anyone tested to do the "Sneak Peek" early gender results?
I've seen a few people have used this recently xx

lucieloos · 16/11/2020 12:18

8+4 today and still insanely unwell with constant nausea and sickness. Anybody else with me? Anyone further ahead and improved and can give hope?

Happy2be · 16/11/2020 13:08

@MRJ86 congratulations!!! What amazing news! So exciting.

@Jen8888 one of the girls on he facebook group has done the sneak peak test. Not sure on her mumsnet name 🙈

AnnaPosie · 16/11/2020 13:18

@Lucieloos heya I'm 10 weeks this week and nausea has deceased but I still have food aversion and get so tired and find I get nauseous when I have to wear a mask when doing the shopping but I do feel like I'm coming through it, weeks 7-9 were the hardest for me so far !

curiouscat1987 · 16/11/2020 13:47

Had our NIPT test the other day and just an fyi for others - we were told the results would take approx 2+ weeks to come back as the lab also processes covid tests which obviously cause a backlog. So won't be as quick as we were hoping for sure!

Also, in the scan the blob waved at us, then turned on its side and mooned us. Which I found hilarious. The the midwife showed me the huuuuuge amount of gas next to my uterus - I was like yep, looks about right judging by how I feel!

Bs93 · 16/11/2020 13:52

@lucieloos also 8+4 today going off my early scan (way behind LMP)! Still feeling sick too but definitely have good and bad days and random bad waves.

MarshallCleo · 16/11/2020 15:16

@lucieloos I am 10+3 today and the nausea has definitely decreased compared to at 8w, it sometimes creeps up in the evenings. Extreme tiredness is still here though!!

AnnaPosie · 16/11/2020 15:31

Just had a chat with midwife over the phone to go through medical history, diet etc, very helpful as can't attend hospital at the moment to meet with consultant due to covid, no antenatal classes however , not even via zoom, was surprised by that and it kinda freaked me out ! She also mentioned to do my pelvic floor exercises, I'll be honest , I need to step up my game here with those, anyone else the same or have any tips 🤣🙈
