Advice please! I’ve had a low level of bladder ache. If I wasn’t pregnant I wouldn’t have noticed but I’m hyper alert for every twinge right now! No pain urinating. I’m struggling to drink as much as I probably should with the nausea. I work away from home so a GP app is a struggle - should I be concerned about a UTI or watch and wait a bit?

maloney123 · 16/11/2020 17:50

@AnnaPosie the squeezy app is good and cheap. If you don’t mind spending a bit the Elvie pelvic floor trainer is great.

AnnaPosie · 16/11/2020 17:53

@LadySphynx my midwife actually mentioned to me today about UTI, apparently there is a bigger chance during pregnancy, when was the last time you did a urine sample test with your doctor? Definitely keep an eye on it

AnnaPosie · 16/11/2020 17:54

@malomeu123 super thanks for the recommendations ! That will make it easier

Hi ladies, just wanted to share that I had my 12 week scan this afternoon and got to see our little bean wriggling around in there. Genuinely thought I was going to throw up from nerves in the waiting room. They’ve dated me earlier than I thought, due 30th May (hope I’m still allowed in the June group!) but its just such an unbelievable relief after 8 weeks of constant anxiety. Think I might actually be able to sleep tonight! Thanks for all the support over the last few weeks everyone x

AnnaPosie · 16/11/2020 19:55

@Penny2020 brilliant news ! Definitely stay in this group as good chance it could run into early June♥️

Northernlass101 · 16/11/2020 21:46

Ugh is anyone else constantly worrying about miscarriage I actually hate to say the word but I just think until 12 weeks I can't let my mind rest I'm just trying to be positive vibes but you read so much that is just takes over your mind. Need to stop googling

🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

Dragonfly92 · 17/11/2020 09:50

@Northernlass101 I feel a bit like that. I'm excited but also worried something will be wrong at my 12 week scan. I've got a stomach bug at the moment so worrying baby isn't getting all it's nutrients from me and that something will happen. I need to stay away from Google too. It's so not our friend. Why do we do it to ourselves?

PumpkinEverything · 17/11/2020 10:56

@Northernlass101 I’ve been the same. I would definitely say I’m more nervous/anxious than excited as I’m constantly worried. It’s been the longest 5 weeks since finding out, and still got another 4 to go!

SarahTTC2020 · 17/11/2020 11:25

Is anyone else fed up of constipation? I feel like I haven't had a normal poo in weeks 😩

PinkPlantCase · 17/11/2020 11:36

@SarahTTC2020 I am currently wolfing down raisins to try and get things moving 😣

Mackie2020 · 17/11/2020 11:46

@SarahTTC2020 I had it really bad for a few weeks. I had lactulose and that really helped. I was prescribed to in hospital but I think you can get it OTC at the chemist. Luckily it's resolved now, so hopefully it won't be too long for you too!

Garman · 17/11/2020 14:07

@PinkPlantCase do raisins work for it? Thought it was just prunes!

PinkPlantCase · 17/11/2020 14:09

@Garman the raisins aren’t an instant fix but they do help. They’ve always been my go to if I haven’t been for a day or two 😂 and they’re good to snack on.

Think they’re similar to prune nutritionally (maybe)

Northernlass101 · 17/11/2020 14:17

@Mackie2020 lactoluse is a godsend omg!!!!!! My constipation was keeping me awake at night after 2 days of taking 15ml I went with ease sorry tmi 😂

It's my go to when I'm struggling I worked down raisins prunes granola just about everything lol nothing worked

fife28 · 17/11/2020 14:22

@@Northernlass101 @PumpkinEverything I have been the same. This is my second and I never joined any forums with my first and definitely think reading all of the sad stories has made me much more anxious this time around. I seem to be googling a lot more, too. The first 12 weeks are so nerve-wracking.

PumpkinEverything · 17/11/2020 14:33

@fife28 you’re right. The negative or sad stories seem to stick with you more than the positive. I was talking to my husband about it and I said I don’t feel like I can not join in or read though as I’ve no one else to talk to in real life as it’s a secret, and I need the groups to make me feel normal!

fife28 · 17/11/2020 14:44

@PumpkinEverything definately, you can't ask people you know for reassurance because nobody knows. My mum knew last time but she has just lost her own mum (my Granny) and so I didn't want to put this on her in the event it wasn't all fine so I have really internalised a lot of what are probably normal worries! I am trying now to just stay positive and remember lots of women have perfectly healthy pregnancies and take some comfort in that if it isn't meant to be, then it will be okay eventually too since worrying really does change nothing! ❤

Jinglebells87 · 18/11/2020 05:38

Hi ladies! Hope are you are all ok. I had my first scan last night and it was amazing! Weeks of anxiety and feeling rubbish all faded away when I got to see the baby. And they moved my dates forward so I am 12 weeks today and now due 2nd June! Hang in there everyone! Sending you all positive vibes Smile.

@Jinglebells87 😍 what brilliant news! I’m so glad everything went well for you, that’s exciting that you’re further along than you thought too!

pookypup · 18/11/2020 06:27

Jingle - what a beautiful picture!

Tatty1987 · 18/11/2020 07:21

@Jinglebells87 amazing picture!

Had my booking in appointment yesterday with the midwife. I was there 15 minutes tops! She took bloods, urine, blood pressure, height and weight. Filled in my slip for the scan and gave me my notes. She also booked me in for my next appointment with her at 16 weeks. Even though it was quick, she was super nice and I felt better afterwards ☺️ fingers my fingers are crossed that I get my scan before Xmas!

Ivybutterfly · 18/11/2020 08:03

I am so paranoid today. Boobs seem smaller and the nausea is not as bad. 10+ 5 and terrified. 🙁

PinkPlantCase · 18/11/2020 08:06

@Ivybutterfly I’m 11 weeks today and I woke up feeling the same. I can’t wait until we can feel movements and really know they’re there .

From what I’ve read it can be normal to have less symptoms around this time as the placenta kicks in and that makes a lot of hormones locally, so the impact on our bodies overall is less
