@Finallybfp same here! This hasn’t been what I expected at all 😂 I had no idea that I’d feel bloated everyday, or be so gassy. I certainly didn’t think I’d feel just as anxious as I always do either.

Finallybfp · 07/11/2020 12:42

@PumpkinEverything - I feel like group chats like these are really helpful aswell though as you can talk to other women who are all going through the same thing and can relate so much to other people and how they are feeling. I thought when I found out I was having my first baby I would just feel excited constantly but although it’s everything Ive always wanted to become a mam I also have been worrying so much about problems that can happen. I had no idea I would be such a worrier when the time came . But after reading lots from other people I feel it is just natural that we feel that way as we really want things to be as healthy as possible . ❤️ x

Tatty1987 · 07/11/2020 14:21

Hey ladies, so I had my early scan this morning and it was amazing, it was abdominal and showed the baby where it should be and a heartbeat ❤️ It was so amazing to see! He even told me which ovary the egg came from (we got a lefty 🤣) ...couldn’t believe it.
They also had my dates about right so will be 7 weeks tomorrow.

PumpkinEverything · 07/11/2020 15:13

Aw yay! I’ve been thinking about you all day @Tatty1987 waiting for your post 😊 so glad to hear it all went well for you. Yes, amazing they could tell you that! Mine has come from the right apparently.

@Finallybfp also so so grateful for this group, and the TTC post pill party group. My head would have been turned if it wasn’t for everyone’s help and making me feel so much more normal! I have felt the same as you, and although I’m excited, I’m also equally as nervous and precautious about the whole thing!

Bleubird · 07/11/2020 15:27

Lovely news @Tatty1987 ! I have my early scan tomorrow afternoon. Wishing I'd booked it for today now! The wait is killing me. x

Tatty1987 · 07/11/2020 15:36

@Bleubird aw I know, the wait seems forever. Let us know how you get on ❤️

I honestly drank that much that as soon as I got to the clinic I had to wee and she said you mustn’t. So I hung on a couple more minutes, but I honestly nearly pee’ed myself so I went a little to ease it. Went in the scan and he said oooo you’ve a full bladder 🤣 with every move of the probe I thought in my head ‘don’t wee, don’t wee’. Won’t be doing that again but luckily we got clear-ish pictures!

Finallybfp · 07/11/2020 15:42

It’s such a lush feeling seeing your baby for the first time on the scan screen isn’t it . I drank so much water before I went to window to the womb but the first question she asked me when I got there was have I had a drink in the last hour and I said yeah I’ve drank lots of water she then told me because I was earlier then 10weeks the best scan was a internal so I then had to go to the toliet and Eee haha 🙈, Nevermind I was actually quite happy as I was desperate for the toliet. I don’t know how people can wait until the 12 week scan to see that baby is there and growing in the correct place etc . And now for me I’m so happy I had my early scan at 8weeks +5 days because now my 12 week scan isn’t until I’m 13 weeks+1 day. So excited for everyone having there first scans x

Finallybfp · 08/11/2020 13:17

Quick question but has anyone dyed there hair during pregnancy ? Does anyone recommend any safe hit dyes to do yourself ?
I was googled whether it’s safe or not to do so and get mixed reviews. ☺️

Dragonfly92 · 08/11/2020 13:25

@Finallybfp I haven't dyed my hair yet and was going to ask my midwife on Tuesday. From what I've read it's best to go for ammonia free dyes. Olia keeps coming up in my searches. I wasn't going to dye until second trimester as the placenta is still forming until then so baby isn't as protected at the moment.

swiftt · 08/11/2020 13:27

@Finallybfp I just dyed mine yesterday, funnily enough! I’d been holding off but I was bleach blonde and my roots were getting atrocious so I chucked on a semi permanent light brown. I just avoided any with ammonia; I’m sure they’re fine, but I thought a semi permanent would be safest option.

I have my early scan in an hour and I’m absolutely terrified. Convinced my symptoms have disappeared. Blush

Finallybfp · 08/11/2020 13:35

I’m brunette and get quite bad grey roots , I’ve been holding off and just been using the L’Oréal root spray , but I feel like I’m going to have to dye it in the next few weeks . @Dragonfly92 I had read on google that olia is a safe one to use.
@swiftt how exciting how many weeks do you think you are ? Honestly I felt exactly the same before my private early scan, the women in the clinic give me so much reassurance as soon as I seen the baby on the screen. I had mine at 8weeks +5days they said I was. I feel like I’m back to thinking I’m I still pregnant again now though as I don’t really feel much. I’ll be 11weeks on Tuesday. X

GeeHO98 · 08/11/2020 13:38

@Finallybfp I asked my hair dresser the other day she said it's safe but dye just might not take as good

swiftt · 08/11/2020 13:39

@Finallybfp I should be between 9 and 10 weeks. I had a scan 2 weeks ago and everything was fine, but I feel even more nervous for this one! Hopefully everything will be okay and it will keep me going til my 12 week scan.

Finallybfp · 08/11/2020 13:50

@GeeHO98 ah great Thankyou Smile. Ah bless you I’m sure everything will be fine . So is this your second private scan. I can’t wait for my next scan but got to wait until 13weeks. The count down is on haha .

craziestyear · 08/11/2020 14:34

Hi, just joining in. I am 7+4, due 23 June apparently. I'm 37 and this is my first pregnancy, I feel sick all the time (thankfully not actually puking) and my boobs are like big bruises twice the size they used to be (they were small :D)!
I filled in an online form for a booking appointment on Friday, apparently they will contact me. Had a number from the doctor's receptionist but it didn't work so just found the form myself.
Very worried all the time about something going wrong but that just goes with the territory I guess!

swiftt · 08/11/2020 14:57

Scan was absolutely fine. Measuring at 9 weeks and heart beating away. I will now hopefully sleep easy until my 12 week scan! Blush

Bleubird · 08/11/2020 16:09

Great news @swiftt! We also had our early scan today, measuring a couple of days behind what we thought, so it looks like due date is now my birthday. We saw the heart beating strong, so comforting to see. Good luck to everyone else having their scans soon x

Waitingforbabypage · 08/11/2020 16:13

Just need a cry, been doing nothing but hugging the toilet today. I'm nearly 10 weeks and this is the first time I've actually been sick.
I am not a fan.
Also, I'm fed up of not being able to eat what I want. Had a really lovely curry cooked for me the other night, it smelt delicious, it looked amazing but as soon as I ate a spoonful, my stomach went NOPE! Apparently all I can eat is beige, stodgy food 😭

Tatty1987 · 08/11/2020 16:36

@swiftt @Bleubird great news on your scans ❤️

Finallybfp · 08/11/2020 19:07

@swiftt so happy for you bet you feel so relieved you’ve seen you little baby👶🏻. It’s an amazing feeling.Smile

Finallybfp · 08/11/2020 19:08

@Bleubird how many weeks are you ?

Bleubird · 08/11/2020 19:17

@Finallybfp So by my LMP I was 8 weeks today but measuring around 7+3 so not too far off. They said dates could change again slightly at the 12 week scan x

Thank you @Tatty1987 ❤️

ECoby · 08/11/2020 19:26

@waitingforbabypage I hope you feel better soon. I feel exactly the same im 9+2. I've had daily nausea since 4 +3. Vomitting 0-7 times a day and I'm now at the point im utterly miserable. I know i should be enjoying this time. But I cant help wishing it away. Im losing weight but feel so bloated and drowsy. Im holding onto the fact I will feel better next trimester

ChasingARainbow · 08/11/2020 19:37

@ECoby I've felt exactly the same since 6 weeks, there's been a couple of days I've not been sick but that's it and feel so bloated over night. I'm starting a new job tomorrow otherwise would be booking a couple of days AL because I'm feeling so tired all day. We tired to get pregnant for a year and a half so I always said I wouldn't moan about any symptoms but I just can't help it 🙈.
Hope it settles down soon x

lucieloos · 08/11/2020 19:45

@ECoby @ChasingARainbow @Waitingforbabypage same here too it's really awful. I feel constantly nauseous day and night and am either wretching or throwing up. I'm only 7.5 weeks so I'm dreading how much more of this I have left. With my daughter I was sick until 20 weeks and that was pretty bad but not as bad as this.
