@MRJ86 yes I feel exactly like that too it's awful! Go to your gp as there are things you can take. I'm on my second different lot now as the first did nothing but these seem to be helping a little.

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 10:36

I have my early scan at 6 tonight and ah, my nerves! I took a test this morning just to make sure it was still positive, as my lack of symptoms is worrying me so much. I really hope everything is okay tonight 😩

Tatty1987 · 06/11/2020 10:59

@PumpkinEverything I did think of you this morning remembering today was your early scan. I’m sure everything will be ok, let us know how you get on. Mines tomorrow at 11am so I totally understand how you feel

@MRJ86 that’s awful. Hope you feel better soon. Whenever I have felt a bit queasy I’ve had sparkling water and it seems to just settle things. My sister (a nurse) has always sworn by flat coke but I’m not a fan of coke so haven’t tried it. Another friend said ginger biscuits?! Hope this helps.

Jinglebells87 · 06/11/2020 11:21

Hi everyone! I've been pretty quiet on here because I have been feeling so rubbish. Its exciting to hear about people having scans. My 12 week scan is booked for 23rd Nov which feels like ages away.

I'm so exhausted all the time still. I slept for 10 hours last night and I'm still feeling like I could put my head down on my desk for a nap!

I hope you are all doing ok. The nausea is a nightmare but at 10 weeks now mine has gone from all day to mainly afternoon and evening which is an improvement (although feeling a bit green at the moment!).

Hang in there ladies! X

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 11:32

@Tatty1987 not long for you to wait now either! This time tomorrow you’ll know 😁 my husband said to me theres nothing we can do at this point, so for me just to be positive and hope it’s all okay. I’m trying my best, but easier said than done!

brownie100 · 06/11/2020 11:37

Hope it all goes okay @PumpkinEverything how far along are you??

Tatty1987 · 06/11/2020 11:39

@PumpkinEverything your husband is right and my partner thinks the same.
He’s expecting everything to be absolutely fine. Its good he’s so positive, as I probably do enough worrying for the two of us - we’re a good match Smile I’m hoping that if everything is ok tomorrow I can chill just a little.

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 11:53

@brownie100 I think I’m 7 weeks today exactly. My LMP would have me at 9 weeks, but my cycles are between 34-45 days so I’ve based my date on when I believe I ovulated. I’m interested to see whether I’ve been right! This is a private scan I booked for reassurance with window to the womb 😊

@Tatty1987 exactly the same with us! I worry about everything, and he’s normally not phased by anything. We’re both lucky we have good matches haha. I have already planned on getting takeout for dinner tonight, as no matter what way it goes, I am already not up for the planned stir fry we’re meant to have 😂

Scarftown · 06/11/2020 12:20

The exhaustion has hit hear. Nausea still comes in waves but they are my only symptoms. Boobs have stopped hurting now but do feel heavier.

I’m beginning to wonder how to get exercise into my day. Especially with lockdown what’s everyone doing or thinking about doing?

I’m 8 ish weeks and I don’t have a scan booked til End of the month so I’m trying to occupy myself as at moment my anxiety comes in wave like my nausea

MarshallCleo · 06/11/2020 12:20

Good luck this evening @PumpkinEverything. We made the same plan, pizza if it was good news and pizza if it was bad news.

GeeHO98 · 06/11/2020 12:30

@AlRRRR @Penny2020 just thought I'd update you I had a scan today ended up going to emergency department after midwife told me to and everything's okay have a heartbeat & measuring a week behind I thought but all's good

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 12:41

@Scarftown I’ve been going on a 30 minute walk everyday. I was doing that anyway, but now I’m trying to make sure I at least do that. I’ve been considering doing some home workouts, but a bit scared!

Haha, pizza is always the answer @MarshallCleo I can’t decide on pizza or McDonald’s for later, mostly just because I want a strawberry milkshake!

luxxlisbon · 06/11/2020 13:01

My early scan is at 6:30 tonight and I keep taking positives to make sure it’s still there! Terrified they won’t be able to find anything but also excited because if it goes well everything will start feeling real. Good luck with yours!
Penny2020 · 06/11/2020 13:14

@GeeHO98 Amazing news - I bet that heartbeat was the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen! Fingers crossed the rest of the pregnancy is smooth sailing!
Good luck for everyone having scans today. I’ve had my 12w booked in when I’m only 11.5 weeks so it’s only 9 sleeps to go (not that I’m counting or anything)

GeeHO98 · 06/11/2020 13:18

@Penny2020 yes definitely a relief & thank you I hope everyone else's goes well too

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 14:33

Ah @luxxlisbon i hope everything goes good for you tonight too! How far along are you?

Garman · 06/11/2020 15:00

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well. I had my meeting with the head of midwifery today, it went really well and she listened to my previous experiences and concerns, a first! We have a good plan of care in place which is great, it still doesn't seem real of believable though, definitely not sinking in yet.

Sitchervice · 06/11/2020 15:35

I started spotting again. Really worried. Blood is brown in colour though still have symptoms but very bad headache which I used to get before periods

Dragonfly92 · 06/11/2020 15:47

@PumpkinEverything I just wanted to let you know I've read it's not recommended to have McDonald's milkshakes for the same reason you can't have McFlurry or Mr Whippy ice cream. Although made with pasteurised milk, they can't clean inside the machines and this could carry listeria. I would hate for you to find out after having one. I was gutted when I couldn't have the McFlurry I bought the other day! 😭

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 15:53

@Dragonfly92 this is extremely upsetting news 😂😭 and actually, now that you’ve said that, I briefly remember reading about that a few months ago before I was pregnant! For goodness sake 😂😂 I’ve been looking forward to this since yesterday. I just want a milkshake in general so maybe I’ll have to find a local ice cream shop that makes them instead 🤔 do you think all milkshake machines are like this? Like the ones in five guys too?

AC3241 · 06/11/2020 15:55

Hello

I am 6+2 and have severe nausea. So much so I have been off work sick this week as can barely sit up, eat or drink. It’s constant 24/7!

I’ve spoken to my GP and have anti sickness tablets that I take once a day before bed... it’s taken the edge off but not completely got rid of it. I’m really hoping it clears up soon! X

SarahTTC2020 · 06/11/2020 16:02

@PumpkinEverything it's any soft serve ice cream machine. If they used a scoop ice cream and blended it that would be ok xx

I had my.booking appt over the phone this morning, seemed to be with a student as it lasted about 20 mins but then I don't have any medical conditions. Booked for f2f bloods with midwife next weds when I'll be 10 weeks. I just want a date for my scan now!

Dragonfly92 · 06/11/2020 16:06

@PumpkinEverything tell me about it! Especially when you've bought and it is sitting there staring at you! An ice cream shop is a good shout! I would be wary if they use the same type of machine as McDonald's.

A bit of reading suggests McDonald's would have proper cleaning in place for the machine but I know soft serve from nozzle machines aren't recommended. It's all so confusing. Looks like some have had milkshakes (and been craving them) through their pregnancies and been fine.

PumpkinEverything · 06/11/2020 16:34

@SarahTTC2020 can I ask what questions you got asked? I have mine on Monday morning! No medical history for me either, but think there may be a few bits with my parents if I can remember! Do you have to decide where you want to have your baby for this appointment? I’ve barely thought about this part at all 😳

Coffee4me · 06/11/2020 17:31

@PumpkinEverything If nothing else you (or your partner!) Could do one at home, if you have shaker/ smoothie maker? Ice cream, milk, flavourings

@Scarftown I'm doing a lunchtime walk to get out of desk, bug occasional yoga/ stretch. Also I try to walk everywhere possible! After 12 weeks scan I plan to get back some weights but during my previous MC I was training harder at the gym so consciously taking it easier now. I have a book about pregnant training "the pregnant athlete", that looks good👍
