First scan today! :) baby did the splits for the ultrasound- which (as a dancer and circusy person!) made me pretty thrilled...

AnnaPosie · 02/11/2020 17:06

@MS893 I'm currently the same , find it good if when you go to the shop or whoever does your shopping, get a wide variety of snacks even things you don't feel like right there and then, I made the mistake of buying the same stuff now I've gone off them so it's better to eat small and often but I know that can be hard as well , even the thought of a cracker at times make me feel sick , I have half a cup of tea , not every day as I'm just not a tea drinker but I feel that helps settle my tummy

PumpkinEverything · 02/11/2020 17:59

Aw, that’s so cute @WeavingWandering must have been so nice to see! How far along are you?

Out of curiosity, what types of snacks are you eating/trying to eat @AnnaPosie? I can’t stop eating chocolate 🙈 especially today.

AnnaPosie · 02/11/2020 18:21

@PumpkinEverything

I was eating rice cakes for a while but I over did it and now can't touch them haha 🤣 I can eat a bowl of cereal no problem, I was doing well with yogurt but not anymore , I find toast with butter and plain potatoes good, oranges and bananas but some days then all I can eat is a few chocolate sweets or ice cream or a few pringles , just as long as I get something in I think is the main thing. Also those pots of porridge you can get for the microwave and I add some jam or chocolate to them depending on my mood 😂 I always planned when I got pregnant that I would be eating all this fab clean healthy food but nope 😂

PumpkinEverything · 02/11/2020 18:28

I’m so glad to hear it’s not all healthy snacks @AnnaPosie😂 I’ve also had such good intentions, but finding it hard to see it through and also sometimes just want crisps or chocolate. I haven’t even been sick, or had aversions so I don’t feel like I even have an excuse!

Ms893 · 02/11/2020 18:40

@AnnaPosie @Buttons28 thanks :) - yes like u said I've gone off all the stuff I normally like! Struggling to get through the days at work without feelings bleughhhh and I'm on two antisickness pills 😭 I'll get different stuff nex time I'm out xxx

WeavingWandering · 02/11/2020 18:56

@PumpkinEverything wellll technically 7w6d (ivf so I’m pretty exact!) but measuring 8w2d!

Northernlass101 · 02/11/2020 18:59

6+6 absolutely constipated took lactoluse today wish me luck. Stomach wakes me up with wild gurgling and wind. Bless my boyf....

Also boobs feel like they are getting stabbed every now and again 😂 the joys!!!!

I keep picturing my life when he/she is born and all the cuddles ajhhh dreamy 👶🏻

Any constipation tips plzzzz

Humpty11 · 02/11/2020 19:25

@Northernlass101 I’m the opposite and have sucked so many mints today to try and get rid of the nausea that I’ve had to run to the toilet a couple of times 🤦🏼‍♀️, so that may work?! In all seriousness it’s worth trying to eat plenty of fibre (which is definitely easier said than done if feeling A bit grotty!) I hope the lactulose works 🤞🏼

Ms893 · 03/11/2020 08:37

I've found sucking ice helps if anyone is struggling xx

MadameBonfamille · 03/11/2020 11:40

@Northernlass101 are you drinking enough water?
I had terrible issues with constipation before pregnancy, so I take a probiotic first thing and try to do some light physical activity as soon as I wake up and that seems to help a lot.

Hey everyone - my sis recommended Mumsnet - this is my first. I'm 9 weeks, had a scan today to confirm heartbeat and everything looked fine. This all feels so surreal - what happens to mums and sisters not me! What do people recommend about telling people at this point? It's so hard to keep it in...Smile

Sitchervice · 03/11/2020 12:56

Hi guys.

My hormones are running me ragged for the last few days I just feel... Angry and upset

PinkPlantCase · 03/11/2020 13:47

@MegAndNick062021 welcome to the tread Grin

I told some very close friends when I first found out, one knew we were trying anyway and I’d want their support if anything bad were to happen.

Telling family wise I have an 8 week scan booked for Thursday and providing all is well and baby is developing as expected I’ll tell my parents after then. I think we’ll wait until Christmas though before we tell grandparents and siblings.

We aren’t sure about when to tell DH’s parents. We really want to be able to tell them in person but they live about 4 hours away. Before lockdown we were thinking about driving up for the day and telling them but now we’ll either have to tell them on zoom or wait till Christmas.

CakeSchmake · 03/11/2020 18:18

Hi, hope it's ok to join in! My estimated due date is actually right at the end of May, but I feel way behind everyone in the May group! I've been feeling rubbish but fingers crossed that's getting better now. We went for a NIPT today - was great to see the wee heartbeat on the screen!

PumpkinEverything · 03/11/2020 18:46

Welcome @CakeSchmake that means you’ll be able to tell all the rest of us what to look forward to in the weeks ahead 😁

Honey0611 · 03/11/2020 21:54

Hi, it's so nice to read all the comments and know I am not the only one having these crazy snack obsessions....biscuits is currently my go to or emotional outbursts! I am due late June and currently super worried and checking everything!!!

Sounds very sensible and thanks for the reply! I'm living overseas at the moment, but moving back to the U.K. in March next year, partly cos of baby on the way. Really hope COVID situation has improved by then..

Our families know but I think I will tell a few close friends from now and see how it goes. X

@Sitchervice

Hi guys.

My hormones are running me ragged for the last few days I just feel... Angry and upset

I'm with you. I can't sleep very well, this week at work is a nasty one, and I feel basically like I have a massive hangover while driving on a windy road ALL the time. Just want to curl up in a ball and not be disturbed for a while..!
PinkPlantCase · 03/11/2020 23:03

Also have the feeling of a massive hangover 😂😂 hadn’t thought of it like that before but you’re spot on

Northernlass101 · 04/11/2020 00:06

@MadameBonfamille good point I need to increase water intake also taking probiotic activia in the morning!

I went today what a miracle

@Sitchervice don't worry I had a few days of feeling so down and grumpy I googled depression in pregnancy but genuinely it did pass momentary situation ❤️❤️🤞🏼🤞🏼

charlottebs1988 · 04/11/2020 07:29

Morning ladies, please can I join? I have a scan at 11am today I am between 6-7 weeks. I am so unbelievably nervous, I get really bad scan anxiety. I've had 3 missed miscarriages which I found out about through early scans so, anxious doesn't even touch on what I'm feeling right now xx

DLHJune24 · 04/11/2020 07:58

@charlottebs1988 Welcome! I have an early scan today too and am between 6-7 weeks also. I feel anxious and I’ve not had any previous miscarriages so can only imagine how you must be feeling! Will keep everything crossed for you. Let us know how it goes x

Penny2020 · 04/11/2020 08:04

@charlottebs1988 and @DLHJune24 good luck to both you. Really hope it’s good news!
