@curiouscat1987 I thought so really expensive but definitely worth it looking forward to seeing what you & everyone are having

BunAndOven · 01/11/2020 18:51

@Finallybfp that's amazing! DH and I have been wondering about getting a windows to the womb, and this has swung it for me.

I'm also.striggling massively with sickness and vomitting. I work in emergency services and can't work from home but I just don't know how long I can keep this up, was sick in a public bin today Sad

Aokbaby · 01/11/2020 19:09

Hi @PumpkinEverything internal scan is absolutely fine, they insert a long probe instead of using a speculum so no awkward stretching! Its not painful but a little odd when they move the probe around inside to see baby. You won't even notice as you'll be looking so intently at the screen. Do not worry, it is painless!! However I should add that you may get some spotting afterwards as the probe may bump into cervix or cause so irritation whilst in there, this is normal. Hope this helps x

PumpkinEverything · 01/11/2020 19:14

Thank you @Aokbaby that’s reassuring to know. I was actually wondering about spotting if this is the type of scan I get, so at least I know to prepare myself for that if so 😊

Finallybfp · 01/11/2020 19:32

@PumpkinEverything - internal scan was absolutely fine like @Aokbaby said your more interested in looking at the screen to even really feel anything . I would highly recommend window to the womb . The prices are quite expensive but I’m so happy I chose to have one as it has helped reassure me loads. Smile

AnnaPosie · 01/11/2020 19:34

@PumpkinEverything totally get what you mean ! I am very tired, nauseous and sore boobs but some days more than others, I just assumed I would feel pregnant all the time and haven't been physically sick so my idea of pregnancy in my head was very different !

MinnieMouse4 · 01/11/2020 20:07

Hello All, I’ve been silently stalking this thread for a few weeks now. I had BFP a few weeks ago following a miscarriage in August. NHS due date calculator predicts my EDD at 22 June. I’ve been dying to join in but been apprehensive in case history repeats itself. I feel like I am ready now to join the chat. Nausea has hit me like a bus this past week but I suppose its a good sign. LMP dates have me at 7+5 but due to long cycles after MC and conception date it’s more likely to be 6+5.

Hope you are all well xx

PumpkinEverything · 01/11/2020 20:08

@Finallybfp thank you! I just want to skip ahead to Friday so I can start to worry slightly less.

@AnnaPosie how far along are you? It’s been so different than what I thought too! I was always under the impression you were sick almost as soon as you got a positive test, and that it was always actually throwing up 😂

PumpkinEverything · 01/11/2020 20:10

Hi @MinnieMouse4 😊 I hope everything goes well for you! You’re just ahead of me as I have myself at around 6+2 due to long cycles

BunAndOven · 01/11/2020 20:15

Just messaged Window to The Womb to ask if partners are still permitted at the scans considering new lockdown, they said they are waiting to hear from Head Office with a decision Sad
I really hope DH can come, that was W2TW main selling point.

Finallybfp · 01/11/2020 20:33

Fingers crossed for you @BunAndOven that they let partners still go to scans .
I am totally with everyone saying they don’t really feel pregnant. I haven’t felt or been sick at all so far which I thought I should be lol . I’m now 9 weeks and 5 days. At about 7/8 weeks I had really sore boobs but that seems to have gone away. To much info but I am still feeling quite constipated, is anyone else having this symptom ? I’ve been trying to ring fresh orange juice to try and help.

SarahTTC2020 · 01/11/2020 21:41

@PumpkinEverything nothing like a smear test! They showed me photos of internal Vs external scan and so much clearer internally so definitely do it. Just like a thin lubricated probe goes in, similar to a finger xx

Bleubird · 01/11/2020 21:43

@BunAndOven I have a WTTW scan booked for Sunday & waiting to hear, really hoping partners can still attend! As you say, one of the biggest selling points!

PumpkinEverything · 01/11/2020 21:45

Thanks @SarahTTC2020 that sounds fine then, and good to know it’s better if I’m given the option 😁 we’ll see what they offer me on Friday!

@Finallybfp not something that has affected me (yet/hopefully it doesn’t), but I’ve read posts on a Facebook group I’m in where people have recommended prunes and prune juice. Also making sure you’re drinking enough water and getting plenty of fibre.

BunAndOven · 01/11/2020 22:20

@Bleubird fingers crossed for you! Could you let us know on here what their decision is?
It's so crazy to me that partners can't come to scans.

Tatty1987 · 02/11/2020 06:30

Hello ladies, just to let you know, our early scan is with Ultrasound Direct and they’ve contacted me to say that partners are still allowed to attend so hopefully that’ll be the same for WTTW, fingers crossed!

Bleubird · 02/11/2020 07:28

@BunAndOven I know, completely crazy. Will let you know if I hear.

@Tatty1987 that's good news. Fingers crossed the same for WTTW! When is your scan booked for? I think I will be 8 weeks on the day of mine.

Tatty1987 · 02/11/2020 08:32

@Bleubird it’s booked for next Saturday and I’ll be 7 weeks! We’ve not long to wait now :)

Isit2021yetplease · 02/11/2020 09:58

Hi all, had an early scan last week. I thought I was 6w exactly based on LMP (although my cycles are longer - more like 33 days so was expecting to be put back a few days). She could see a sac, but it was empty, and measuring 4+6. Got to go back next Tuesday.
Really really really wish I hadn't bothered going at all, as it's done the opposite of reassure me! It might be completely fine, and as I don't even know when I ovulated, those dates could be right and it's just too early to see yolk or baby. Obviously they should definitely be visible next week so will know either way.
If anyone has any stories of similar would love to hear. I can't stop googling and have convinced myself it's a blighted ovum. My pregnancy tests are still showing up extremely strong though so I am holding on to a little hope. No symptoms still, but also no bleeding or cramping.

Bs93 · 02/11/2020 10:28

@Isit2021yetplease I had an early scan on Friday, from my last period I should’ve been 8 weeks, but the scan put me at 6 weeks 1 day. The Sonographer said she has no concerns at all, everything looks good and where it’s meant to be, we saw the heart beat. It’s also left me feeling very anxious though! Feel like I want to have another scan at 8 weeks to check everything is actually growing. I suppose it’s a bit mad basing dates on periods and assuming everyone has cycles like clockwork, in reality it’s not like that. Hopefully we’ve just ovulated/ implanted later than expected from the typical 28 day cycle! Good luck for the next scan and hopefully you’ll get the reassurance from it. They didn’t offer me a rescan so I have to wait til 26 November for my NHS 12 week (although looks like I’ll only be 10 then)

Isit2021yetplease · 02/11/2020 10:47

@Bs93 that's great you saw the heartbeat - very reassuring, although it does confuse you how dates can be so far out so early on!
I haven't even referred myself to the hospital yet as wanted proof that I had a viable pregnancy! I've moved house recently so not even registered with a doctor - will do so after next scan assuming all ok.
Eeekkkk I am starting to feel sick but I think it's anxiety more than anything!

northerngal20 · 02/11/2020 13:46

hey all - i'm in a similar boat and need some reassurance, i had a scan last week due to some cramping when i should have been 6+2, but the embryo was measuring tiny at 1.4mm. She said on the day that it was all consistent with dates, but since then I've been googling (why!?!) and i've started to worry that was actually pretty tiny and something's wrong. There was a flicker of a heartbeat but i'm also worried now it was really slow (she didn't tell me the bpm). This early it's almost impossible to tell how things will turn out, right? i'm trying to keep myself busy but now with the new lockdown it's all i can think about!

Ms893 · 02/11/2020 13:47

Hi all and congrats to everyone! - I'm due 16th June 1st baby super excited but so sick 🤢🤢 😭🙈 any tips?? X

Buttons28 · 02/11/2020 15:13

Hi can I join please?
I think I'm 6+1 due 27th June but am waiting for my scan to confirm. Mild symptoms so far. Feeling sick and tired. This is baby no. 2 so hoping the symptoms don't get much worse.

Hope everyone is doing ok

Was there mention of a Facebook group?

Buttons28 · 02/11/2020 15:21

@Ms893 try eating little and often if you can. I found that helped first time round x
