@PinkPlantCase thank you!! I only came off the pill in August and my cycles did used to be on the long side. On the phone they told my husband these early scans can be out by 7 days! I think they should really tell you that at the time.
It was amazing to see the heart beat and I’ve got a little video of it!
I want to book another scan for a couple of weeks but husband is saying no 🙈

GeeHO98 · 30/10/2020 18:53

@Humpty11 so weird how it can cause odd dreams isn't it, have you got other symptoms etc? I think I'm one of the lucky few with only the odd one

Aokbaby · 30/10/2020 19:24

Hi ladies, so went for internal scan today, they could see the sac but said it was too early to see anything else. They did see a small cyst on my ovary which they said is common in pregnancy and may have been why I was bleeding. They booked me in for another scan in 2 weeks so hopefully should see the little heart beat then, I'm praying!!

Yes to the vivid dreams too, moreso when I was about 2-4 weeks, they felt so real!! Also had extreme hunger and thirst, but have no real sense of appetite now! Its all so strange

MrsW20 · 30/10/2020 20:18

Hi, I'm 6+5 weeks with baby number 3. Due some time at the end of June 2021. I'm really struggling with morning sickness and did not feel this bad when I was having my boys 5 and 6 years ago. I have been really struggling to get through the day and my doctor has prescribed me anti sickness tablets as I have been so upset over how bad I feel! Literally couldn't get anything done. I feel like the worst mum in the world at the minute because I've been so useless this half term and haven't done anything with my boys, I'm so short tempered because I feel so sick. Hoping 12 weeks comes quickly so I can tell them why mummy has been so useless ☹ I have my booking appointment on 10th November over the phone x

Humpty11 · 30/10/2020 20:29

@Coffee4me my booking in appointment was face to face but my 16 week one will be over the phone. I think she said that the rest will be face to face but I guess anything can change between now and then!

@GeeHO98 very weird! I remember the same thing happening with my son so maybe it’s the surge in hormones 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’ve had some sickness and trying to push myself to eat a lot of the time to get through it. I hope you get away with minimal symptoms!

Humpty11 · 30/10/2020 20:32

@MrsW20 sorry to hear you’re feeling so rubbish, hopefully the anti-sickness medication will help you feel a bit more normal! Try not to beat yourself up about not being able to do as much with your other children. 12 weeks will be here before you know it and they’ll have forgotten about you not being able to do as much with them. Keep resting and take plenty of fluids x

Coffee4me · 30/10/2020 20:38

@Humpty11 when they called to organise appt, they said it's over the phone (no exact time, just wait all day 🙄) so I don't mind it being face to face. Gets me out of the house 😁

MrsW20 · 30/10/2020 20:44

@Humpty11 thanks, it's so hard these first few weeks isn't it, I think I'm just over emotional as well as feeling so nauseous! Can't wait for the second trimester where we get to feel normal again, at least for a short while!

Does anyone else have long cycles? Mine last 35 days so I'm confused when I'm trying to work out a rough due date? How does it work 🙈

maloney123 · 30/10/2020 20:50

Is anyone using an app to track their pregnancy? Any recommendations? I’m using What to Expect at the moment which is good but it’s American so some of the advice isn’t as relevant (eg the bits about saving to pay for labour...!)

GeeHO98 · 30/10/2020 21:13

@maloney123 I already have flo to track my cycles but I always use sprout for my pregnancy's it's the only baby app I've ever liked

MrsW20 · 30/10/2020 21:16

@maloney123 Emma's diary, bounty and babycentre are good, I used them in my last pregnancies x

Ivybutterfly · 30/10/2020 21:27

I am 8 weeks and I have not had a call from a midwife or anything. Had an early scan at EPU because of history but I feel I should have had a letter or a phone call by now.

I also have extreme morning sickness. It is hell. Only 4 more weeks to go! X

readyforroundtwo · 30/10/2020 21:41

Hi Ladies,
I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today.
The last three or four days I've been feeling constant waves of nausea on and off all day and then this morning I woke up and projectile vomited all over the toilet rather than in it Hmm. I'm also constantly starving and feeling light headed and weak.

I don't remember any of this with my son, so stupidly thought I would get away with it this time!

Would do you advise to get you through these first few weeks?

Aokbaby · 30/10/2020 22:36

@maloney123 I'm using what to expect also, its cool that you can compare baby size to fruits but I get what you mean re irrelevant info. I think Emmas diary is good?! How far on are you?

lucieloos · 30/10/2020 23:22

I'm using pregnancy+ and really like it. Also I hate to say it but the sickness and nausea doesn't always magically go away by 12 weeks 😬 I had it until gone 20 weeks with my daughter and then still on and off until 30 weeks. This time I've had nausea really bad for about 1.5 weeks but have started medication so I don't know if that's helping. It's still there but it's taken the edge off and I can't eat more things now.

lucieloos · 30/10/2020 23:22

*can

Ivybutterfly · 31/10/2020 09:14

I had hyperemesis gravidarum with my son. Morning sickness the entire pregnancy. It was hell. Not so bad with my daughter but only in comparison with my first. 😱😱

scrambledeggy · 31/10/2020 11:23

That feeling when you keep having to tell the Covid study app you "feel physically normal" when you actually feel like crap 🥴😂

AnnaPosie · 31/10/2020 11:35

@readyforroundtwo oh no that sounds horrendous you poor thing. I've had the nausea but haven't been physically sick, constantly hungry but so tired and no interest in eating so it's hard having to eat often when you just don't want anything! Think I was a bit dehydrated last night, woke up with a bad headache that only hurts when I stand up , I'm hoping it goes away soon !

readyforroundtwo · 31/10/2020 15:32

@AnnaPosie hoping you feel better soon as well Flowers

SarahTTC2020 · 31/10/2020 16:15

I've booked a scan for tomorrow morning 🙈 just felt like I wanted one before we tell our parents, I'll be 8wks 5days so hoping everything is ok!
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday

GeeHO98 · 31/10/2020 16:44

Has anyone booked an early gender scan yet? I know it's really early but I never had any private scans with my daughter & really want one this time around, I've noticed there booking up already and worried I won't get one if I wait. Anyone else?

Dublindolly · 31/10/2020 18:46

Hi All, I haven’t been chatting much in this group but I’m in the 4weeks group..although now it’s 6weeks (yippee Smile)

I decided to set up a little zoom chat for tomorrow at 1pm GMT for anyone who wants to join in and have a proper chat and get to know a little group going through the same stages. With all this lockdown stuff and not telling family/friends for a few weeks. Thought it might be fun to be actually able to talk to someone outside your partner 😊

@Aokbaby yeah the comparisons are cute aren’t they! I’m gonna download some of the other ones mentioned and have a play around. I’m 9 + 3 how about you?

Aokbaby · 31/10/2020 22:58

@maloney123 6weeks now so size of an orange seed, time seems to be going incredibly slowly this week, think it may continue that way until past the 12week mark, luckily you're almost there.
