Thanks so much @milly159 will keep you all updated xx

SarahTTC2020 · 29/10/2020 22:51

I'm glad someone else has mentioned being hungry all the time, this is me and I'm getting dizzy and faint if I don't eat something every 2-3 hours, but then can only manage something small

Tatty1987 · 30/10/2020 06:46

@PumpkinEverything hi again Smile these days/ weeks are seriously dragging. I’m 6 weeks on Sunday. I cannot believe how slow they’re going. Doesn’t help my DP thinks it’s going quickly!? Have you had many other symptoms?

Going to tell my sister later today, this will be the first person we’ve told! Not going to tell any other immediate family until the private scan and if everything seems to be OK.

bestsquirrelinthewholehole · 30/10/2020 07:38

Morning, I am having good days and bad days. My nausea is mainly worse at night as soon as I try and lay down. I habe some good days where I am not nauseaus at all, and then days, like today, where I am swirling. I have work tomorrow so praying for a good day. 🤢

I’m after some advice ladies. Currently supposed to be 6+1 and took another test this morning (not really sure why but just had a feeling!) and my test was significantly lighter than the other ones I took when I first found out I was pregnant. The tests in the photo go from first one I took 2weeks ago to the last one this morning. The darkest one was taken a week ago.
Has this happened to anyone else??
I’m think I’m going to call my doctor and see what they say.

@DLHJune24 I wonder if the others look darker because they’ve dried out? Hopefully the GP is reassuring, do you have any pregnancy symptoms?

@bestsquirrelinthewholehole my nausea is worse when I stand up! We’d we quite a pair 😂

lucieloos · 30/10/2020 08:29

@DLHJune24 pregnancy tests are no longer accurate at this stage. I think it was something about the hcg being too high. If you are concerned about something then better to get a scan now than do a test.

PumpkinEverything · 30/10/2020 08:42

Hi @Tatty1987 😁 glad to see you over here. Wow, even when I think of hearing your news it feels like that was forever ago, yet we’re almost the same number of weeks haha. No new symptoms for me. Still bloated and gassy (although yesterday my bloat actually disappeared for a day which was nice!). My boobs are sore to the touch, and always seem to hurt in the morning when I stand up for the first time and gravity gets them 😂 other than that, nothing really! Are you excited about telling your sister? It’s so nerve racking!

DLHJune24 · 30/10/2020 08:48

@PinkPlantCase GP was a bit useless and just said if you’re not bleeding then don’t worry about it! I’ve had in and off symptoms all the way through so far a bit of nausea for the first time yesterday but now questioning how much of this is all in my head.

@lucieloos I think I’m going to call the local private place and book in for an early scan for peace of mind. Just reading about the ‘hook effect’...fingers crossed it’s that!

Thanks for the quick responses Smile

Scarftown · 30/10/2020 09:40

I just got a phone call to say the urine sample from 2 weeks ago suggests UTI so need antibiotics. I don’t have any symptoms of a UTI so a little surprised. I also don’t have any pregnant symptoms anymore but the midwife when I told said thats not something to worry about.

Feeling the stress today.

GeeHO98 · 30/10/2020 09:56

@DLHJune24 I'd try doing a test in the afternoon as well I found my lines were darker in mid day rather than morning

DLHJune24 · 30/10/2020 10:20

@GeeHO98 I found a website which talks about the inaccuracies of tests past 5 weeks and even had an experiment with diluted urine, just tried it and it worked, back to a dark line again! Which makes sense why yours are also darker in the afternoon. So relieved. No more pregnancy tests for me!!

Still going to book an early scan though, another 6 weeks to wait for a scan is far too long. Time seems to have slowed down since I found out I was pregnant.

Tatty1987 · 30/10/2020 10:41

@PumpkinEverything ahh we’ve got really similar symptoms. I’m still gassy, bloated and boobs sore-ish (some days worse than others). Can’t wait for our private scan next Saturday. I have everything crossed everything is ok.
I’m so excited to tell my sister, she’ll be so so shocked!

GeeHO98 · 30/10/2020 10:53

@DLHJune24 glad it worked for you I've booked an early scan too but couldn't get one till I'm 10-11 weeks which is still a long wait

lucieloos · 30/10/2020 10:56

I have a scan booked for a week Monday which is dragging so much. I'm slightly worried as my nausea doesn't seem as strong as it was.

maloney123 · 30/10/2020 11:07

The early weeks really dragged for me too. I’m 9 + 3 now and they aren’t dragging quite so much, hopefully once we get to 12 weeks (and hopefully an all clear) it will start moving even faster. I think it’s because you can’t tell anyone!!

AnnaPosie · 30/10/2020 11:28

@SarahTTC2020 heya yes I feel hungry all the time but also no appetite and can only eat small amounts and very plain food, nauseous on and off throughout the day

PumpkinEverything · 30/10/2020 11:33

@Tatty1987 so good to hear someone has the same symptoms as I expected more by now 😂 I’ve been so scared of actually booking our scan, but I might book it today for next Friday as I’ll be 7 weeks by then I think. Just need to find the courage to do it! I’ve been checking online and I can see they have slots available for it.
Ah that’ll be exciting telling her 😁 who else will you tell after your scan next week?

Tatty1987 · 30/10/2020 12:03

@PumpkinEverything ahh don’t be, I’m so nervous of going too but I would have more anxiety without having it booked. My week at work has dragged so much and I think it will until then.
We’re planning on telling parents and siblings if we hear that everything’s progressing as should be at the scan. Have you thought when you might tell family? Also, have you heard from the midwife yet?

PumpkinEverything · 30/10/2020 12:09

@Tatty1987 I know. I think it’s more the worry that me booking it will make something go wrong. I’m just being silly! I’ll speak to my husband later tonight to see what time suits and then get it booked!
If everything is okay then I will tell my mum only, and the only reason I’m telling her is because I need help with our family medical history as I’m not 100% sure! Otherwise I’ll not tell anyone else until 12 weeks as I don’t know how much I trust either of our families to keep it to themselves.
The midwife part is confusing me! I rang a week ago yesterday to book to see my GP (I had no idea how to start the process) and when the receptionist asked what it was about and I told her she said oh it’ll be the midwife you need to see. The next available appointment was for the 9th November so I’ve booked that and I should be 7+3 then; which I hope is okay! (If they go by my LMP I’d actually be 9 weeks as my cycle is irregular, but I know when I ovulated so I know that that is definitely not right). The receptionist seemed confused on the phone and said something about how she hoped that was okay, and I could call up for a cancellation sooner since I’d be 17 weeks!? No idea where she got that number from, but it’s worried me now that I’m booked for the wrong thing or shouldn’t be going when I am at all. I did correct her when she said that and she didn’t mention it 😂

GeeHO98 · 30/10/2020 13:26

Anyone having lots of weird dreams I had these with my first too but this time around I'm having them everytime I'm asleep and waking up lots in the night with them

Humpty11 · 30/10/2020 14:45

@GeeHO98 I’ve had some very vivid dreams since finding out I’m pregnant. They were worse at the beginning and don’t seem to be every night at the moment!

Coffee4me · 30/10/2020 18:22

Another one with time dragging here 🙋‍♀️ I had a scan few days ago, 8 weeks, and thankfully all was well. My midwife appointment is tomorrow, I thought it's over the phone but I got a text to come in person 🤷‍♀️ Seems odd how differently midwife appts are organised across the country 😯

Bs93 · 30/10/2020 18:23

I had my early scan today, the Sonographer said everything is looking good with no concerns. Saw the heart beat. It was an external scan, the only thing is she’s put me at 6+1 whereas based on my period, midwife dated me at 8 weeks. I do think it makes sense because I had a negative test on 5th October, surely if I was 8 weeks pregnant it would’ve been positive then as I would’ve been 4 weeks. I made the mistake of googling it and I’ve got myself so scared, my husband called the clinic after we left and they told him there’s really nothing to worry about but I can’t help it 😞

PinkPlantCase · 30/10/2020 18:28

@Bs93 I’ve seen lots of stuff about how babies grow at different rates early on but they are much more standard by 12 weeks, that’s part of the reason why the NHS use 12 weeks as the dating scan. So who knows, maybe you’ll have caught up by then or maybe you just ovulated later than day 14, which is prefecture fine too!

Congratulations on seeing the heart beat Grin such good news!
