Hey girls first time posting here, I had my first scan today , an early scan and I am 7 weeks, I had actually thought I was 10 but I knew there was a chance I had ovulated laster and I had a couple of negative tests so 7 weeks makes more sense and she said all looked well and strong heartbeat and she had a lot of women recently whose dates were off a little bit so she said not to worry !

This is my first pregnancy. Feeling tired and naseous . I'm getting the flu jab tomorrow.

lucieloos · 27/10/2020 14:57

This nausea is horrendous. I'm only 5+5 today but been feeling rough for a good week now. There's no let up to it. Then I feel starving which makes it worse but there's very little I fancy to eat. Anyone got any tips or anything to make it a bit more bearable?

maloney123 · 27/10/2020 15:41

@milly159 I had my booking in appt last Wednesday at 8 weeks (Merseyside area). Waiting for my scan appointment and booked in for bloods next week. It seems to vary massively by area.

We had a private scan at 7+2 and all was perfect but the past few days my nausea has really dropped and boobs not as sore. While it’s nice not to have these symptoms I’m also worrying that it’s a bad sign. I’m 9 weeks tomorrow. Someone tell me I’m panicking unnecessarily please!

Bbdm1984 · 27/10/2020 15:42

Ive bit the bullet and finally booked a reassurance scan for the 20th november 😬 cant help worry that i am going to jinx myself. I think im going to finally self refer to the midwife this weekend as well

Bbdm1984 · 27/10/2020 15:45

@maloney123 i think it is probably because the placenta starts taking over from around 8 weeks, i have read (its 14 years since i was last pg so can't remember) that symptoms come and go

Scarftown · 27/10/2020 15:58

What pregnancy apps are you using? If any?

AnnaPosie · 27/10/2020 16:41

@scarftown just using the flo app, I had used it to track periods and found it good so using it now for pregnancy, it's free and reliable

Dragonfly92 · 27/10/2020 17:06

@Scarftown I was using flo to track periods so have kept it for pregnancy. It's great for logging symptoms.
I've also got pregnancy+ which gives daily topics and shows fun things like how big baby is etc.

GeeHO98 · 27/10/2020 17:21

@Scarftown have flo & sprout

Rodri83 · 27/10/2020 17:24

@milly159 I did my referral and was told I’d hear within 3 weeks depending on gestation, I’m 10 weeks and still have a week to go before the 3 is up and haven’t heard a thing

RLou3 · 27/10/2020 17:28

Hi all, please can I join? I got my BFP a couple of weeks ago. NHS app predicts my due date is 24th June!! I'm also considering a reassurance scan but am
Worrying myself about it. Has anyone had one yet? Or planning to do so? Also, has tiredness hit anyone else like a bus? I'm
Falling asleep on the sofa every night by 7:30!!! Then sleeping the full night through xxxxx

lucieloos · 27/10/2020 17:36

Hi @RLou3 I'm also due on the 24th! I'm going to check with gp about booking in with midwife when I go there on Thursday and then I'm going to book a private scan for a week Monday so will be 7+4 then. Not doing too bad with tiredness but suffering with really bad nausea. Going to see what medication I can take for it as it's very miserable at the moment

AnnaPosie · 27/10/2020 17:48

@RLou3 congrats 🥰 I did an early scan today at 7 weeks and it felt good to check everything. The tiredness is crazy, nothing like it . How is your appetite?

PinkPlantCase · 27/10/2020 17:53

@Scarftown I’m using Ovia, it tells me which part of baby is developing each day, yesterday it was baby’s spleen and today it’s told me that the umbilical cord is now fully formed Grin

RLou3 · 27/10/2020 18:10

@lucieloos ah amazing! Is that a predicted date from NHS website too?

@AnnaPosie oh how lovely! I’m just such a worrier - I worry that they’re not going to find a heartbeat or anything else I could possibly worry about!! Was it an internal scan? What’s your due date 🥰🥰🥰

RLou3 · 27/10/2020 18:12

@AnnaPosie forgot to say my appetite doesn’t seem to have changed yet? Has yours changed? My main symptom is just utter tiredness. Who knew it was possible to be this tired 😂😂😂. Praying I don’t get sickness though 😩😩😩

lucieloos · 27/10/2020 18:27

@RLou3 it's not from the nhs website but it's from a similar site with a calculator where you put in the date of your last period etc

ChasingARainbow · 27/10/2020 18:49

@BunAndOven I booked though ultrasound direct, it was £70. Just had the appointment, everything is showing as ok and my due date has been brought forward by 1 day so I'm now due 14th June.
Got my midwife booking in next week so will be 8 weeks and 3 days.
Have been looking at NIPT tests for 10 weeks, they all seem to vary wildly in price but our NHS hospital does it privately for £250 which is the most reasonable I've seen.
It's all starting to feel very real now!

Humpty11 · 27/10/2020 19:13

Good evening everyone!
I had my booking in appointment with the midwife today and she’s told me to take vitamin D supplements as well as iron. I know pregnacare and other brands have them all in but just thought I’d let everyone know in case they were just taking folic acid like me (vomiting dependent!). Any tips from the ones suffering with sickness and trying to take the massive pregnacare tablets? Even without any sickness that would make me gag 🤢.

DLHJune24 · 27/10/2020 19:13

@RLou3 Hi! I also have a due date of 24th June (according to nhs calculator) and ditto to falling asleep on the sofa by 7:30pm and still managing time go to bed and sleep right through as normal!
I’ve booked an early scan for 7 weeks, I debated it but I’m about to spend a weekend with my mum in a few weeks time and want to tell her then (she’ll be able to tell something is up while I’m with her all weekend anyway!) but I want to know everything is going well so far before I tell her. If it’s bad news then I can tell her straight away and not have her get excited about it xxx

lucieloos · 27/10/2020 19:43

@ChasingARainbow which nipt test are you going to go for? I'm trying to decide myself. I've seen a couple which offer extra tests but I'm not sure they are that accurate and I don't want to be panicked anymore than I am already!

ChasingARainbow · 27/10/2020 21:06

@lucieloos it's with Nottingham University Hospitals, I think you call and pay for the test over the phone and they send you a testing pack out and you arrange a blood test with your GP practice. Not sure exactly what they test for but the 3 main conditions and also can tell you the gender.

AnnaPosie · 27/10/2020 21:33

@RLou3 not too much although I prefer to eat plain food like potatoes and some veg, nothing too strong or I feel sick, my friend recently had a baby and she said you're better off eating little bits and often so I'm eating smaller meals but snacking on as much fruit and rice cakes as I can
