Thanks everyone! I'll call to get my booking appointment tomorrow.

@butterfly193 I hate the scan wait. We think we are going to book a private scan for some reassurance.

This is my partners first baby and I've done this twice before. I'm trying really hard not say "when I was pregnant before..." etc and not compare it too much to my previous experiences. I've heard it can be totally different with a new partner anyway and your body almost resets? Not sure how true this is!

@ladymary86 my mum keeps telling me it's going to be a better pregnancy this time because this beans got a different dad, plus she's convinced it's a boy this time. So far I feel pretty rotten though so I'm not convinced.

I have an early dating scan a week tomorrow and it can't come quick enough!

The scan wait is HARD. Feels like forever still.

How is everyone feeling today? I'm 5+6 and boobs seem v swollen. Not much else at the moment

@TheDaydreamBelievers hope you are feeling ok. I am 8+4. Just finished my night shift this morning for the week and had my nap. Feeling tired and a little nauseous.

I have booked a private scan for Tuesday as it has been a week and still no contact from my local midwife booking centre, so looking for a bit reassurance I think.

I feel really depressed today...so down and can’t really explain it. Not sure if a because I have no energy can can barely move of the couch, missing eating food, missing not feeling sick.
Just really have a bad day...I hold on to the hope that in the next few weeks (I’m nearly 10 weeks) that I start to feel back to normal.

@Buffbeag I've booked a private scan too but I feel like I've been quite restrained. Decided to wait until 8th of November so that we actually get to see something a bit more developed.

Anyone else still testing? I have one FRER and one CBD left. I'm think I'm going to use the CBD one next weekend to see if the conception indicator changes.

@Fruitloops34 sorry to hear you are feeling down today. Hopefully it is just an off day and you will feel better soon. Maybe try doing something just for you like a bath or a nap?

@ladymary86 I will be 9 weeks at scan so not sure how much I will see but just wanted to have someone tell me for sure that I had a baby in there 😊 not tested for a few weeks

@TheDaydreamBelievers I can't believe I was considering not booking an early one! Booked for 8 weeks and the days are dragging!

I'm 5+1 and not doing bad at all...hubby might argue that my hormones are all over the shop but I would disagree obviously 🤪😂😭 jokes, I'm a psycho bitch 😂

I've got my booking call tomorrow morning and managed to get some time off to take the call at home before I head into work. Does anyone know what I should expect to be offered in terms of early testing? For example...I presume I should get an appointment for blood tests before my scan to check for HCG and any deficiencies I may have? I'm anxious that with COVID they're gonna try to fob us all off with as little as they can and as this is my first I'm totally clueless about the standard of service that was offered before the pandemic craziness...

I should add I'm in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire with the Airdrie midwife team and will be going to the Princess Royal.

I'm feeling soo tired doing a 12 hour shift and was up half the night with DD who wanted to play at 4am this morning Shockwould people recommend a private scan?? My partner thinks there a waste of money but I don't think I can wait another 6 weeks or so! I haven't tested since the start of the week but have one left so will probs test again tomorrow to make sure it's still real lol

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 15:14

I feel the same @mrswilso - not sure what to ask for! The NHS GGC booklet gives info on what they will test in bloods. Dont think they test HCG though!

@mrswilso what's it called? Haha I'm in abronhill. Hi neighbour 😂

I've felt so sick all day, I never felt this bad this early the last time.
Boobs are also sore, that's actually how we first thought I was pregnant as my boobs haven't been this sore since the last time.

@fruitloops34 hang on in there, the last time I got past 11 weeks and then felt so much better, hopefully your coming to the end of the shitty part of the pregnancy

@buffbeag at 9 weeks the scan is amazing and it's defo baby like if that makes sense 😂 we've got ours booked for Halloween

Buffbeag · 04/10/2020 15:34

@rosegoldivy haha Halloween scan that's funny. Mine is this week so excited but super nervous as never got this far before!

Up until now I have been trying not to get excited so it's a weird feeling for sure

rosegoldivy · 04/10/2020 15:42

@buffbeag it 100% feels so much more real once you have had a scan, not only in terms of reassurance but it's like omg, there's and actual baby in my tummy 😂😂

mrswilso · 04/10/2020 15:53

Ah noway @rosegoldivy I grew up in abronhill! Mum and dad are still there ☺️ I'm in kildrum now!
@TheDaydreamBelievers I've just had a look a the leaflets too - I'll read up a bit more this evening now that I've remembered I have them 😂

rosegoldivy · 04/10/2020 16:06

@mrswilso I know kildrum well, my MIL stays down near the high school.

My last pregnancy I was on a chat that was full of pregnant mums all over the UK, I'm loving the fact this Scottish one was made

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 16:06

This is what I thought would be nice in having a Scottish group - Scotland is small so lots of us will be near each other and go to the same hospitals etc

I'm Glasgow west end Smile

@thedaydreambelivers it was a great idea. The last group I was on ended up setting up a private Facebook group later in our pregnancies which we all still post and chat on. It's great way to get extra support from other mums.... Coz let's face it with all this covid shite still going on pregnant or new mums seem to be back of the queue for support 😂

Report
Buffbeag · 04/10/2020 16:19

I am so glad a Scottish group is set up too as things are so different I different parts of the UK. I have no idea what to expect so it is nice to see others are having the same thoughts as me ☺️

How is everyone feeling? The fatigue has hit me like a train, I'm at work 12 hours a day and really struggling with this and waking up two or three times a night!

I feel pathetic as I'm only 6 weeks but it's come on so suddenly!

Report
ladymary86 · 04/10/2020 16:49

@rosegoldivy I did this too!
I'm still in touch with all of the mums from when I had my baby in 2015 on our private Facebook group!

@ladymary86 defo something we should do further down the line

@heyDW96. I'm knackered, but I feel I've been knackered since DD1 arrived but recently I've been waking up at night and not able to get back to sleep for ages. Been feeling quite sick on and off today but I don't know if that's coz I've ate shite all weekend or it's being pregnant
