@thedaydreambelivers how very organised.

Has anyone told anyone yet? Part from DH, I've told my manager and my best friend. Plan to tell my mum n dad soon but I've ordered a "promoted to big sister" for DD to suprise them that way

Sexnotgender · 01/10/2020 13:53

My due date is April 10th. Scan yesterday confirmed my dates.

barbiemummy20 · 01/10/2020 14:02

Thanks so much for this 💕

I am 34 (feeling about 104)
1 DD who is 6 and in P2 at school
We had a scan when I expected I was about 6.5 to be advised that I only had a pregnancy sack measuring 4+2 and they were not sure if pregnancy was viable 😢 I took that one sentence as being the end of the road and presumed it wasn't to be but they advised to take a test a week later and if it was possible it might be my dates were mixed up since then I have take a teat daily and become a bit obsessed I also feel rotten with horrible sick feeling and grogginess all day so I am trying to remain hopeful if all is well I am 7 weeks today and have my booking call a week on Tuesday and bloods 2 weeks today with my scan hopefully following shortly after 💕

rosegoldivy · 01/10/2020 14:06

@barbiemummy20 I'm so sorry your having to go through such a stressful time, I have my fingers and toes crossed that it's just your dates that have been mixed up and all is good with baby

SugarPlumRoar · 01/10/2020 14:18

@Fruitloops34 I'm NHS Ayrshire & Arran too, have you had your booking in appointment from the midwife?

The process is so different to when I had DD 5 years ago I'm struggling to get to grips with it

barbiemummy20 · 01/10/2020 14:19

@rosegoldivy thanks, we are being positive I have been suffering really bad with constant nausea and reflux so thinking of that as a good sign 💕 we have been trying since June 2018 so been a long time coming 💓

Fruitloops34 · 01/10/2020 14:36

@SugarPlumRoar

Yeah I had my booking in appointment like 2-3 weeks ago but I think that was cause I called and told them I was pregnant the morning I got my positive.

Not sure if that was a good or a bad thing cause it’s meant ages between that and my 12 week scan.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 01/10/2020 14:43

@rosegoldivy I've told my two best friends. Think I will save everyone else for when we have had the 10 week scan. Itching to tell more though!

I’ve had a tiny black spot in my vision for a few days and I’m really worried about what it could mean? Anyone have anything like that happen at all?

ScottishLassie91 · 01/10/2020 15:00

Weve told our parents and and also told my best friend. I only told my boss as was ill and wasnt able to travel for work for about a week x
Weve both got brothers who were going to tell after 8 weeks then will tell everyone else after 12 week scan 🥰

singleandttc · 01/10/2020 15:28

I forgot to mention I'm 33 and nhs forth valley.

@Fruitloops34 it's definitely worth giving the opticians a call. They should be able to fit you in quickly and let you know what it is.

I've told my Mum and one of my sisters. They knew I was trying with a donor so they were dying to know straight away. They're also going to babysit for scans etc. Thank goodness family members are still allowed to babysit. Otherwise appointments would be impossible. I've also told my boss as I wanted my risk assessments updated. I work in a patient facing role so wanted to make sure I was as safe as could be. I also have one person in both pharmacies I work in to cover for me when there's things I can't do anymore or if I start running to the toilet to throw up. So far so good on the vomiting front but I feel pretty awful with the nausea and have had some dry heaving. I had hyperemesis with my daughter so I'm expecting it to turn bad soon. I was a "late bloomer" so could start anytime unfortunately.

rosegoldivy · 01/10/2020 15:40

@singleandttc I'm in cumbernauld so although I'm classed as the Glasgow catchment I went to forth Valley with DD1 so will be going there again. What a small world!
I am dreading the sickness kicking in. Last time I would have to hide away at work and lie on the toilet floor until it passed, although now I'm wfh so at least I will be able to lie on my own bathroom floor ha

GrandTheftWalrus · 01/10/2020 15:50

Hi all can I join?

Currently 7+2 with my 3rd pregnancy.
1st pregnancy resulted in my DD
2nd was a mmc in may 2020.

So fingers crossed for this little one.

Sexnotgender · 01/10/2020 15:53

We’ve told parents and siblings. Had to tell my brother as my due date is the day after his wedding 🙈 not that it’s probably going ahead anyway. It’s been rearranged twice now for COVID and looking doubtful again.

GrandTheftWalrus · 01/10/2020 15:54

Oops meant to add im 35 but will be 36 when this one arrives.

I'm nhs lanarkshire and due date is 18th May.

Obviously edd can change at scan. My edd only changed 2 days with dd.

singleandttc · 01/10/2020 16:06

@rosegoldivy I'm so jealous that you can work from home! I have awful memories of sitting crying and hugging rather disgusting toilets at work when I was pregnant last time. Home toilets are so much nicer to hug. Lol. I couldn't afford to take much time off sick first time because it turned out my ex was gambling all my money away, but this time my works sick pay policy has improved a lot and I'm planning on taking the time if I need it.

Buffbeag · 01/10/2020 16:08

Hey. Bit late to the party as I work nights so only just up 😊

I am roughly 8 weeks. Only just called midwife this week due to previous disappointment. Been waiting 4 days for a call back from booking office for any appointments. In NHS FV. Not sure why a delay as last time I get called back that day.

Starting to get impatient 🙄

singleandttc · 01/10/2020 16:42

@Buffbeag I'm FV too. I phoned and got no reply so I emailed and it took them a week to get back to me. Not the most efficient sadly but they did eventually reply thankfully.

Buffbeag · 01/10/2020 16:47

@singleandttc ah great. I called twice and left messages and then emailed on wed morning so fingers crossed it is less than a week.

I waited as I had a previous MC so felt like calling was tempting fate, kind of wish I had called earlier now.

barbiemummy20 · 01/10/2020 17:48

I have just booked a scan for next Friday when I should be 8 weeks, finding this waiting too much! Fingers crossed for a better experience 💓

SugarPlumRoar · 01/10/2020 18:32

@Fruitloops34 I've been told that I'll get booking in phone call at some point but it might be a few weeks and I won't be told a time or date in advance.

That's stressing me out a bit, even though I work from home I can't just answer the phone in the middle of a telephone or video conference. We also haven't told anyone so I'd rather be at home at a convenient time for that call.

Today is the first day that I haven't felt or bèen sick @singleandttc @rosegoldivy I had HG with my first and I too remember hugging the work toilets. I spent so much time signed off sick as every smell triggered it. Working from home has definitely made it a much easier experience and means hopefully I'll not have to tell work until after my 12 week scan

rosegoldivy · 01/10/2020 19:03

@sugarplumroar oohhh I had forgotten how smells would trigger the nausea. Last time round DH had to live on sandwiches and toasties for dinner for a few weeks as every single cooking smell would make me bolk.. Esp cooking chicken or sausages 😂

Sexnotgender · 01/10/2020 20:04

I’m WFH full time which is fantastic. I hated commuting when pregnant last time.

GrandTheftWalrus · 01/10/2020 20:15

I'm nightshift during this pregnancy till February at least, and I'm really struggling with no coffee or monster all night.

Buffbeag · 01/10/2020 20:58

@GrandTheftWalrus I am night shift as well and really struggling with the tiredness!
I find first 4 hours I feel awful and nauseated and nothing seems to help 🤢
