How is everyone today? I'm feeling super tired. DD has had a temperature since fri. Covid test yesterday was negative but she was up most of the night and I had work at 0630.

Dh is also working today but he has to drive for work so I didn't want him getting up through the night.

My nausea has eased a bit and the boobs are a bit less painful but my bloody nipples are a joke both in size and painfulness.

I've resisted booking an early scan so far but have been scouring places in Glasgow. I think I'm pretty set on booking one as I've still had no contact from a midwife and no idea when it will happen.

I can't believe how many of us are from Scotland, it's such a nice group to have as most seem to be not too far from Glasgow.

Hopefully this continues and covid goes away and we can have a giant baby meet up next yearGrin

@Fruitloops34 where in the Ayrshires are you? I'm in East

I have had a rotten day just couldn't muster up any energy, hubby has been on 7 night shifts and it's just been me doing bedtime and school while working so think today I just felt done, have only just got out of bath and into clean pjs 💕 haven't felt as sickly today 👌🏻 but have had a sore head 😢 I am going for scan on Friday night nervous but would just like to have some reassurance 👌🏻 when I was expecting last time we went to parent craft at the local health centre it was brilliant as i was the first of friends to have a baby and had no idea and no friends going through the same thing, I still see a couple of the girls and have a great wee friendship group from little steps and book bug when my dd was little I feel sad that's not likely to happen this time around but I am focussing on the getting out and walking and being a bit more chilled this time around last time I was out every day at classes! Hope everyone has had a good weekend 💕

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 17:51

@SugarPlumRoar I've been thinking about not getting an early scan but can you let me know if you find somewhere good? Just in case I break and book one!!!

Massively struggling just now with nausea and sickness 🤢 I've had bad nausea daily since between 4 and 5 weeks but now I'm being really sick as well. I've even woke up in the morning already wretching and running to the bathroom and waking up during the night with feeling sick.
Absolutely exhausted from it, so far this weekend I've managed to keep down some soup, apple and a few clementines 😥
Think I'll call my doctors tomorrow as anytime I'm walking about now I'm feeling dizzy and heaving!

Looking forward to our early scan though, booked for a week on Monday so that's keeping me going just now 🥰 xx

Buffbeag · 04/10/2020 18:20

@TheDaydreamBelievers I am going on Tuesday for mine at a place called abc4d and there is a Glasgow clinic so I will let you know how it goes ☺️

singleandttc · 04/10/2020 18:21

I'm feeling so sick this weekend. I feel pathetic because I haven't actually been sick yet, just a hell of a constant nausea and a little dry heaving, but I'm really struggling to eat. I've started counting my calories because I was worried about how much I was eating. It's not great. I've found the only thing that helps is to sit still and not move. My 9.5 hour shift tomorrow and Tuesday on my feet all day will be horrendous.

My scan in a week is an NHS one at 7 weeks. If I didn't have it I probably would have booked a private one. I had a scan at 8+4 with my daughter after a bleed and it was such a relief to see her safe and sound.

Fruitloops34 · 04/10/2020 18:24

@Buffbeag

I went to them for my 6 week scan, they were really good.

Fruitloops34 · 04/10/2020 18:26

@SugarPlumRoar I’m in East Ayrshire as well. Wee town outside Kilmarnock.

Buffbeag · 04/10/2020 18:32

@singleandttc that's what I am like. Constant nauseous but not actually been sick.
I am only just now starting to be able to eat a bit more. I get starving but then when I go to eat I can't.

Hoping it gets better soon 🤢

rosegoldivy · 04/10/2020 18:38

@thedaydreambelivers I've got a scan booked for baby scanning clinic, it's on Ingram Street in the city center. We went to them last time and they were fab. They have the early scan packages for £55 and you can book them between 8 and 16 weeks

singleandttc · 04/10/2020 18:40

@Buffbeag I really hope it doesn't last much longer but I was a "late bloomer" with HG with my first so I'm just expecting it to get worse and worse. Last time it was first vomit at 7 weeks, I wasn't hospitalised until 17 weeks and it lasted until 32...

SugarPlumRoar · 04/10/2020 18:45

@Fruitloops34 I'm in Kilmarnock myself, you're not too far from me.

@rosegoldivy that's where I had my early scan and gender scan with my DD, had considered going to them again. There seems to be more option than there was 5 years ago.

@singleandttc and @Buffbeag I find the nauseous so much worse than actually being sick. With being sick I get a slight temporary relief but the nausea nothing lifts it or helps except lying down and not moving which really isn't an option 90% of the time.

I feel for you both

rosegoldivy · 04/10/2020 19:02

@sugarplumroar honestly I'm the same with the feeling nauseous. I would much rather be sick and get it over and done with and then feel better. I'm sure last time round a few times I actually made myself sick just for the 10min relief 😂

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 19:03

I feel luckier than you guys! I'm only 5+6 but so far burpy, sore boobs (hurt to run today). Not nauseated but struggling with what I want to eat a bit as i dont fancy anything

Am I the only non west coaster on here?

It might vary by trust but I only got bloods done at my 12 week scan appointment. My booking appointment was on the phone and no tests done at all.

ScottishLassie91 · 04/10/2020 19:05

@rosegoldivy I thought that too, regretting I had ever wished for it, been in tears and everything today xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 19:05

I'm a total jinx 😂 a while ago I was like, oh I'm going okay stuffs settled down and then the next morning it was non stop nausea since.
Then I was like it's annoying cos I'm not being sick and now I cant stop!
I'm 6+5 so think the hormones had something to do with the tears as well ... Today I was sobbing that no one else cares how you feel lol 😂
Fingers crossed we get through it with our sanity lol xx

Queenbee95 · 04/10/2020 19:18

@Sexnotgender I’m Edinburgh.. My booking appointment was in the mw office, I didn’t even realise they were doing phone appointments! I had all normal checks done then, now it’s just a wait for 12 week scan which is on the 20th so not long now!!

Also - MW asked me if I’d consider a termination if there was any abnormalities with baby, I said no so she’s automatically put down that I don’t want NT test.. is anyone else skipping this? I had it with first 2 and just thought it was a normal thing to have done

sakuramiyagi · 04/10/2020 19:21

Can I join please ladies? Smile

33 years old
I am 7+4 weeks
DD 19/05
2nd pregnancy (1st sadly resulted in a miscarriage at 12 weeks)
Midwife appointment - 20/10
Private scan & NIPT - 03/11
NHS scan - 09/11

Currently feeling absolutely exhausted and constantly nauseous. Very worried about having another loss, trying really hard to remain positive.

Sexnotgender · 04/10/2020 19:23

Thought I was the only one @Queenbee95 😂 I’m Edinburgh born and bred but currently live in Kirkcaldy.

I didn’t have the testing with my last baby but I had it this time.

singleandttc · 04/10/2020 19:49

@Queenbee95 that's a really harsh way of asking you about the NT! Healthcare professionals can be so inconsiderate when it comes to genetic conditions. Heart conditions are common in Down's syndrome so people who know generally get extra scans to check the heart, so there's reasons it isn't just to terminate.

I'm having the NIPT so I can plan and have medical checks if necessary. My amazing little girl has Down's syndrome so I have a higher chance of this baby having a trisomy too.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 04/10/2020 19:52

I agree with @singleandttc - what an awful way of asking if youd like genetic screening @Queenbee95. I will get the screening, not necessarily because I'd end the pregnancy if anything came up! Just because I think knowing would benefit me either way
