So sorry @Kamiros Flowers

Can I jump on ladies? I’m 25, this will be number 3! I’m 9+6 weeks, EDD 02/05/21. I’m in lothians. Had my booking last week, I went in to see MW though, think I would have been taken aback if they said my app was over the phone!! Scan set for 20th October, bang in middle of October break so now gonna struggle as DH so wants to come to scan but rules say no household mixing 😓 gutted

Queenbee95 · 03/10/2020 07:58

Sorry hit to quickly ...Rules say no household mixing so technically I can’t get my mum to look after my two boys!

Childcare from grandparents is exempt I believe.

So sorry to hear this @Kamiros

@kamiros I am so so sorry to hear your news ❤️

@queenbee95 I rely on my mum for childcare so DD1 has been going there twice a week. I'm sure there is a clear exception for childcare in the never ending list of confusing rules so your DH should be able to come to scan as long as your mum is happy to have them

Kamiros · 03/10/2020 08:45

Thanks ladies.

Yeah I've been using my mum for childcare since April. We just don't go in the house and she doesn't come in ours.

Everything seems to have changed since I had my first so have I got this right??

I don't need to go to my doctor to confirm my pregnancy, I just need to call a central number to get a booking appointment? I'm in Inverclyde so GGC number?

Also, can I choose which hospital to deliver? I'd really rather not go to Paisley if I can avoid it - the QEUH looks much nicer and actually easier to get to as just off the motorway!!

@ladymary86 I called my GP and they gave me the number to refer to.
I'm epileptic and my specialists are at QUEH, they've said it may be best I'm there. When I made my appointment with the midwife, as I'm in renfrewshire my 12 week scan needs to be at the RAH then I'll have the option of tranaferring my care yo QUEH if I want to but I couldnt go there for my first scan xx

@ladymary86 I think I am actually in the catchment area for Wishaw maternity but there's no chance I'm going to that hospital (about 25 mins away) . I could also go for Queen Victoria hospital as that's another one close (20mins in good traffic) but last time I opted for forth Valley as although it's in another district its actually the closest to me and 10mins away from my house.

They didn't have an issue with me going there the last time so I'd be annoyed if they tried to stop me this time.

I'm in the catchment area for 3 hospitals as well but I've chosen Wishaw general again as it's closest for my parents.

Anyone any advice on itchy skin? I suffered badly with eczema when I was on the pill. The two years I have been off the pill my skin cleared right up but now I am pregnant it has flared up massively.

Any tips of what to use to help? Currently using E45 but that isn't clearing it up. 😔

@butterfly195 is this your first?
FV were great with my 1st, they spotted early there were some problems with DD1 and opted for an early emergency section not long after my waters broke so I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about them
