Just wondering if there is anyone else about at 32 weeks that fancy comparing symptoms and looking out for signs of labour in a couple of months!

I know there are a couple of threads about for babies due each month but they seem so well established now it wouldn't feel right to try and get in on the action of them.

So just seeing if there are any other lurckers like me about 😁

@Pukeymama All this sign checking is not helpful is it. Just getting hopes up and then getting disappointed.
TMI, but husband and I had sex last night, this morning I had to stay on the toilet for a long time, thought maybe it's a sign something will happen, but now I feel perfectly fine.

I am decorating my flat for Christmas today to distract myself 😅🎄

Thank you, I will let you know how I get on tomorrow. Hopefully you will not have to go in the second time and things will start soon 🤞

Pukeymama · 22/11/2020 15:16

@pinecone88 have fun decorating and I look forward to your update tomorrow!

Hi all. My sweep was rescheduled for today, went in, but she could not do it, still too high up 😬
I'm booked for induction on Friday, don't really think anything will start until then 😐

How's everyone else?

Pukeymama · 24/11/2020 12:18

How frustrating! But exciting about the induction, is that this Friday?? Meaning you'll have your lovely baby by the weekend?? That must be a crazy thought!

I feel like I've been having mild contractions on and off since Saturday but they never turn into anything, so much for second labours being quicker! Got another sweep tomorrow, really hoping they will actually be able to do it this time 🤞

Pinecone88 · 24/11/2020 13:08

Yup, either way baby will be out this week 😅

Hope it works for you this time, let us know 🙂

Pukeymama · 26/11/2020 07:14

So it doesn't appear the sweep worked! 😖 Midwife said it was more successful than last weeks, with cervix being more 'favourable' but still not in prime birthing position or anything 🙄 the wait continues.

@Pukeymama Oh that's a shame! How are you feeling? What are the next steps for you?

For the last week every night in my dreams I see that I have given birth 😅

Pukeymama · 26/11/2020 10:21

Got a consultant appointment next Thursday so book a C-section. I'd currently like to go into labour just to get a break from my toddler 😆

Big day for you tomorrow!! Excited?? Nervous too I expect but how amazing it's so close to meeting your little one!!

Hi everyone. Hope you're all well.
I had my little girl on Sunday after a successful induction. Good luck everyone xxx

Pinecone88 · 26/11/2020 17:08

@Pukeymama You still have time then, hopefully baby won't be long 🙂
I am excited, nervous and a bit dissapointed to be fair. I knew induction was always an option, but was hoping baby would be out by now. Well it is what it is 😅

Pinecone88 · 26/11/2020 17:09

@LRHRN Congratulations! Hope everything went smoothly 🙂

Pukeymama · 26/11/2020 18:20

Congratulations @LRHRN, great news!!

Good luck tomorrow @pinecone88, will be thinking of you!

Thank you @Pukeymama 🙏

Pinecone88 · 27/11/2020 15:49

Went in today, was there for like 2 h, then they said labour ward is very busy today and asked if we can reschedule induction for tomorrow 😅
They offered me a sweep which I agreed to, but again they could not do it, still too far back 🤪

Got a covid test as well, haven't had it before so that's new.
Well new day tomorrow 😃

Pukeymama · 27/11/2020 16:29

Oh blimey, how frustrating! At least it's only 1 extra day I guess but still very annoying. Bring on tomorrow 😆

Pinecone88 · 27/11/2020 17:10

Hopefully tomorrow will be the day! 😅

Pinecone88 · 28/11/2020 11:42

My induction balloon is in! I was originally supposed to go home after, but they did a scan and consultant was concerned about not enough amniotic fluid around the baby, so I have to stay in the hospital and be monitored 😬
It will be a long weekend 😅

Pukeymama · 28/11/2020 12:13

Exciting the induction process has started!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it goes quickly for you!

Hope things have happened for you @Pinecone88
Any progress for you @Pukeymama?

Pukeymama · 30/11/2020 13:54

Nothing happening for me yet 😖

Baby Fredrik was born yesterday late in the evening via c section. Induction took ages, I was in the hospital since Saturday, had to be admitted for balloon induction, then I was put on pictocin drip. The whole process took so long the baby was not happy and it was decided that section was the safest way.
I was just happy to get him out at that point 😅

@Pukeymama your baby will come out this week though yeah? What is the plan?
Any twinges or anything? 🙂

Pukeymama · 01/12/2020 06:48

Ahh congratulations @pinecone88, sounds like you had a long old time of it but what a relief to have him here! 🥰 Will they let you home from the hospital today?

I've got a consultant appointment on Thursday to book C-section, I'm not sure when it will be, sometime before next Wednesday I guess (when I'll be 42 weeks). I'm starting to feel so anxious now, which really isn't like me so I'm getting annoyed at myself. I'm getting paranoid that I've made the wrong decision to try for a VBAC and can't stop thinking something awful is going to happen. If I end up with a section anyway should have just had it pre booked and had it two weeks ago (as what would have happened if it had been planned). I've been having major labour signs since Saturday, moderate but very irregular contractions, bloody show, vomitting, so can't believe I'm still pregnant to be honest! Hopefully I'll be able to up date you soon 🤞

Enjoy these crazy, dream like moments with your little one, and keep up with the pain relief!

@Pukeymama We will be able to go home on Thursday. I got an infection, so both of us are on antibiotics. Can't wait to get home though and have a new family life.

I feel like you have been waiting and looking out for symptoms for ages and that can make anyone anxious. As annoying as it is it will happen when and how it's supposed to. Magical unpredectability of birth 🙄

Keep us posted on how you are getting on 🙂

Pukeymama · 04/12/2020 12:49

Baby girl born this morning via emergency C-section ♥️ waters went at 5, she was here just before 8.
