Just wondering if there is anyone else about at 32 weeks that fancy comparing symptoms and looking out for signs of labour in a couple of months!

I know there are a couple of threads about for babies due each month but they seem so well established now it wouldn't feel right to try and get in on the action of them.

So just seeing if there are any other lurckers like me about 😁

@flyingfruit congratulations!! Great news it all went smoothly!

@pinecone88 I'm glad I'm not the only one. It is literally taking all my effort to try and not snap at every little thing, hate this feeling. Thank god it's lock down so I don't have to see anyone!! 😆

@flyingfruit Congratulations! Wonderful news 🥳

@Pukeymama Yes, I am also glad I am off work already, can't be snappy there 😅
I usually am upset while walking my dog at inconsiderate dog walkers, I've kept all the anger in my mind so far and haven't snapped at anyone outside yet 😅

Flyingfruit · 12/11/2020 03:29

How is everyone doing? Any more babies?

Pukeymama · 12/11/2020 17:03

No baby here yet unfortunately, I am having a sweep next Wednesday though as I'm not allowed to be induced due to previous EMCS so they said they'd do a sweep a week early which I'm pleased about. Midwife also said the midwife doing it has a high success rate of getting labour started but she may have just been trying to be nice 😆 hope it's going well with your little one! I'm sure you're in the lush newborn bubble still.

No progress here as well 😅
I have booked in for a sweep on the 23rd and of that does not work will be induced on the 27th.
Baby is still high up, keep trying to get him engaged with exercises, but so far not working 😐

@Pukeymama good luck on your sweep, hope it works 🙂

Pukeymama · 14/11/2020 13:14

Thanks @Pinecone88, I'll let you know! Had to go in this morning for reduced movements which hasn't happened before. Luckily all fine, took quite a lot to wake baby up but when eventually did it was going crazy and they finally let me go home again. Monitor was showing mild contractions though quite frequently so I'm hoping that means something (probably doesn't 😆). It's such a weird waiting game, feels like forever but at anytime things could kick off, strange feeling!

@Pukeymama oh that must have been stressful for you, glad everything's ok with the baby.
Well hopefully everything will start soon without the sweep 🤞

Flyingfruit · 18/11/2020 07:02

Any more babies ? How is everyone getting on?

Pukeymama · 18/11/2020 09:39

@flyingfruit not yet! Currently sat in the car park waiting to go in the for a sweep, 39 weeks today and hoping it works (but also suddenly feel really nervous!)

How are you and baby getting on??

Flyingfruit · 18/11/2020 10:04

Good luck! We are good thanks. It’s less of a shock this time round 🤣

Pukeymama · 18/11/2020 11:41

Ah glad it's going well!

Well my sweep was a complete failure 😖 said cervix was still long and not very soft so couldn't do much at all really apart from prod the cervix a bit, very annoying and doesn't look like labour is happening for me anytime soon!

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 18/11/2020 12:22

@Pukeymama Oh shoot, that's a shame! So what are the next steps for you? Will they try again or book CS?

Flyingfruit · 18/11/2020 12:52

@Pukeymama don’t lose hope. That happened to me on the Monday and went in to spontaneous labour on the Friday!

Pukeymama · 18/11/2020 15:28

That's good to hear, hopefully I'll have a similar experience!

They will book for another sweep next week (40 weeks) and then book a C-section date for if I go another week over after that.

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 19:55

I was the same @Pukeymama they tried to do a sweep on Sunday and my cervix wasn't "ripe" and baby's head is so low that my cervix is hiding behind her.
I'm being induced on Saturday at 39weeks but my waters have started slowly leaking today so they may move it forward depending if I lose anymore or proper contractions start but at the moment they are happy to wait.

Pukeymama · 18/11/2020 20:14

@LRHRN it's nice to hear that things can kick off so soon after being told the cervix isn't ready, that makes me feel slightly more optimistic.

Exciting that you're being induced so soon, really not long to wait at all. You must feel like things could kick off any second though if your waters have already gone!

Pinecone88 · 18/11/2020 21:30

@Pukeymama Fingers crossed that everything will start soon for you 🤞

Pukeymama · 18/11/2020 21:42

Thanks @pinecone88. Are you getting any signs yet??

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 18/11/2020 21:54

@Pukeymama Noup, everything is quiet here 🙄 I'm still hoping things will start moving before Monday, but who knows.

Pukeymama · 18/11/2020 22:09

@pinecone88 still plenty of time before Monday 🤞🤞

The symptom spotting at this stage is just as bad as the TWW isn't it 😆

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 18/11/2020 22:16

@Pukeymama Haha, I haven't thought about it that way, but you are right, oh the TWW 😅

Flyingfruit · 22/11/2020 09:18

Any news @Pukeymama?

Pukeymama · 22/11/2020 10:59

Nothing 😖 I started to get my hopes up yesterday as I felt so much pressure all day, and then after a walk I definitely had a few mild but proper contractions, turned into nothing though. Going for another big walk today to see if that will help!

How are you getting on @pinecone88? Sweep tomorrow isn't it?? Feeling ok about it?

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 22/11/2020 11:27

@Pukeymama Oh it's frustraiting isn't it 😬 When is your next sweep booked for?
Nothing's happening here, just tired. Baby still feels high up, so I'm not holding my breath that tomorrow's sweep will even be able to start anything. A bit nervous about the pain though 😅

Pukeymama · 22/11/2020 11:33

So frustrating! I've got major pressure again today, I feel like I want to be sat on the toilet all the time (sorry TMI!) but then nothing happens. If I was a FTM I would be taking this as a good sign that things were happening but as a second timer I think that it would have happened by now if the pressure meant anything!

Hoping for another sweep Wednesday or Thursday but got to be confirmed tomorrow. I was nervous about the pain too but then she couldn't even do anything so had got all nervous for nothing. I'll keep everything crossed for you that yours works!
