Just wondering if there is anyone else about at 32 weeks that fancy comparing symptoms and looking out for signs of labour in a couple of months!

I know there are a couple of threads about for babies due each month but they seem so well established now it wouldn't feel right to try and get in on the action of them.

So just seeing if there are any other lurckers like me about 😁

Hiya everyone hope you are all well?
I'm 34+4 and have lost my mucus plug has anyone else?

Pukeymama · 21/10/2020 18:59

@LRHRN I think you're meant to inform your midwife/maternity unit if you loose mucus plug before 37 weeks.

Hi all, does anyone else constantly feel like they have a bowling ball between their legs currently??

Pukeymama · 22/10/2020 17:05

Not yet @flyingfruit but that's an exciting sign!! Think it means baby is getting in the engaged position, how far along are you now?

So after someone mentioned plug yesterday, I lost part of mine too! It was weird timing, and it wasn't much so I didn't call the unit (due to not quite being full term yet). If it's starting to come away already I'm naively hoping it means I won't go overdue 😆

I am 37 + 3! I went 10 days over with my first so I can’t imagine anything is happening!

Pukeymama · 22/10/2020 20:06

How exciting to be full term!

@Pukeymama I contacted the midwife as I started contracting and had reduced movements from baby. I was monitored last night and was contracting every 4-5 minutes but they aren't dilating my cervix yet so just got to keep an eye out. Consultant said my body is getting ready so take it easy but try and keep her in another 2 weeks (I'm 35 weeks)
With you losing some of the plug too just monitor it and any changes phone the unit.
My baby is still lying transverse with her head bashing into my pelvis so just got to be mindful of going into labour naturally.

Poor lady was in the bed next to me 40+6 with cramping, no sign of baby, no contractions or dilating and they won't induce her until Monday, I felt so sorry for her 😫 I know this is going to be me and my baby is just teasing me 😂

Pukeymama · 23/10/2020 10:03

@LRHRN you've had quite a time of it then, keep us updated!

How is everyone doing? Do we have any babies yet?xx

Pukeymama · 04/11/2020 06:08

Officially (and finally!) full term today! Also on my first week of Mat Leave so things are feeling very real! Am definitely struggling though, am finding this pregnancy so so much harder than my first. Emotionally I keep flipping between being desperate for baby to be here, to being sad that soon my full attention on DS is about to be turned upside down!

How are you getting on?

OP posts:
Flyingfruit · 04/11/2020 07:22

Hurrah for full term. I know how you feel about your DS I feel the same. I just don’t think mine has any idea what is about to hit him!!
I’m ok, baby measuring incredibly big so they wanted to induce me between 39 + 40 weeks but I have decided with consultants agreement to wait til after my due date so am booked for induction next week and just hoping baby decides to make an appearance before!! Hopefully having a sweep today, fingers crossed.

Pukeymama · 04/11/2020 07:48

Good luck with the sweep, hopefully it gets things moving for you. Was your first baby big?

OP posts:
Flyingfruit · 04/11/2020 08:35

He was 9.1 but he was 10 days late. This one was measuring 9.5 at 38+3 😳

Pukeymama · 04/11/2020 08:39

Wow!! Mine was 9.7 at 5 days late so also expecting another biggie although bump is measuring as should at the moment! Let us know how you get on with the sweep 😁

I'm 37+1, baby's head not engaged yet, trying to walk more and bounce on that wall 😅
Have a consult later today about induction due to having IVF pregnancy, see what they say.

Exciting times, soon babies will be popping out in this chat 😃

Pinecone88 · 04/11/2020 09:04

I meant bounce on the ball, not wall 😂

Pukeymama · 04/11/2020 09:52

Will be exciting if they give you a date @pinecone88! It feels weird when the end of the pregnancy is so close doesn't it!

LRHRN · 04/11/2020 10:38

My friend had to have a csection last week at 39 weeks as they told her at 36weeks baby was nearly 10lb 😬
He was born at 7lb 8 so no where near so you never know they may be totally wrong.
I go for a scan and consultant next week to find out wether she will be turned and induced or a csection date.

Pinecone88 · 04/11/2020 12:30

@Pukeymama Totally does, keep thinking there's still a lot of time, but noup 😅

Flyingfruit · 06/11/2020 05:48

My waters have just gone!! Well about 1.5 ago. And starting to get some contractions! Whoop. Let’s do this!

Pukeymama · 06/11/2020 06:19

Amazing @flyingfruit!!! Will be thinking of you and hope it all goes smoothly!! Look forward to the update 😁

LRHRN · 06/11/2020 07:43

@Flyingfruit Wow 🤩 how amazing, hope all goes well for you, will be thinking of you xx

Pukeymama · 08/11/2020 08:16

Hope all is well @flyingfruit!!

Anyone else suffering from mood swings?? I feel so ragy! (don't think that's even a word but you know what I mean!) Every little thing is pissing me off, and I'm just so uncomfortable. I don't remember feeling like this the first time around, but maybe we're programmed to forget otherwise everyone would be an only child. Any labour signs for anyone else yet?

OP posts:
Pinecone88 · 08/11/2020 09:05

@Pukeymama Yes! I feel so uncomfortable, weepy and angry 😝
And tired! Yesterday I cried because I was so tired of being tired all the time, made me upset with the baby 😬
Fun times these last few weeks 😂

Flyingfruit · 08/11/2020 09:11

Hi all, a baby girl arrived at 12.30 pm Friday! Quick Labour with no intervention Grin Good luck for the rest of you who are waiting for babies!
