Just wondering if there is anyone else about at 32 weeks that fancy comparing symptoms and looking out for signs of labour in a couple of months!

I know there are a couple of threads about for babies due each month but they seem so well established now it wouldn't feel right to try and get in on the action of them.

So just seeing if there are any other lurckers like me about 😁

Welcome @SM20 and @rainbows20. Glad your scan went well @rainbows20, I had loads of growth scans with my first, they thought he was small, he was born 9lb 7!!

The midwife booked me in for 3 growth scans. I went yesterday for one and everything ok. I don’t really understand all this growth chart etc . Never had it for my other two.

@Pukeymama 32 weeks and one day here with twin girls. Third and fourth babies for me, and feeling it now!

ChampooPapi · 30/09/2020 14:30

I'm due on the 24th of November

Disappointedkoala · 30/09/2020 15:01

I'm either 31 or 32 weeks. It's my second so dates now escape me. I'm definitely getting more tired and achey now, and I feel huge, not sure how much more I can grow in 8 weeks!

DueNumberTwo · 30/09/2020 15:30

Hello everyone! I'm 32 weeks with my second DS Smile
Still working part time at the moment and will finish up in 4 weeks.
I've found this pregnancy a lot easier, I had nausea and fatigue at first but not as bad as with ds. I've had some heartburn (omeprazole sorts it though, I just take one if I know I'm going to have a large evening meal or something spicy), wake every couple of hours at night for a pee or to change position but generally get right back to sleep. I've only gained about 15lbs which is one reason I'm thinking it's easier this time, I gained 3 stones with ds Blush
This time round I've been a lot more active, at the park with my ds, walking a lot and recently started swimming again 2/3 times per week.
This baby is back to back, ds was too and I had a terrible labour/delivery so I'm trying to stay as active as possible to help him turn round!
Midwife appointment tomorrow so will see what she says this time about position.

Will go back through the thread now and read everyone's comments Smile

DueNumberTwo · 30/09/2020 15:38

Re hospital bag, I'm quite organised it's almost all packed.

Few bits to look back out of the loft and clean and then nursery will be all organised.

I kept all of my sons things pretty much so haven't had to buy much at all.

When I finish for mat leave I intend to do some batch cooking for the freezer. We didn't do it first time round and really regretted it.

Pukeymama · 30/09/2020 15:49

Hello @ChampooPapi @Disappointedkoala and @DueNumberTwo.

@DueNumberTwo glad to hear you're finding this pregnancy easier, you want it to be as easy as possible when you already have a toddler!! Does your DS understand what's going on in regards to a new baby coming or still a bit young? How lush to have the nursery sorted, we redecorated ours a couple of weeks ago but need to out everything away yet, I've just ordered some drawer organisers, these are the sort of things I get excited about nowadays 😆

Disappointedkoala · 30/09/2020 16:14

I'm only starting to get organised. My focus has been getting DD sorted for months (so potty trained, in a big bed, walking more) and I've sort of forgotten we need stuff for a new baby! My DH seems to have even less of a clue this time than last!

Pukeymama · 30/09/2020 16:17

That's been our focus too this summer, hoping it might make life a bit easier when the second one arrives!

Relfm · 30/09/2020 16:23

I'm another lurker! 32 weeks tomorrow.

I've been in hospital on bed rest for 4 weeks already (placenta praevia and now GD and shortened cervix!), and he could arrive tomorrow or 4 week's time!

So not the most straightforward pregnancy, but I actually feel fine. Except for those nighttime achy hips (despite good pillowage).

I can recommend a good eyemask, earplugs, sleeping earphones, phone stand and power adapter with usbs and long cable if you're going to be kept in for any length of time Smile.

Relfm · 30/09/2020 16:24

Oh, also, IVF pregnancy and FTM.

Morganlove · 30/09/2020 17:42

Hey, can I join please? 32 weeks +2 with my second. 5year age gap between them and boy am I feeling older this time round! Back ache is so bad and I’m so tired all the time but then can’t sleep when I get to bed. First one came very quickly so I’m anxious about giving birth this time as many have said they get quicker!

NT2020 · 30/09/2020 17:46

Hello! Can I join please too? I was 32 weeks on Monday, so am getting ready for the final countdown. Start NCT next weekend and the hospital bag is next on the list. It’s all starting to feel very real now!

Baby girl is still happily transverse according to the GP. This is my first baby, so hoping there’s still plenty of time to turn!

I managed to escape the sickness, but have been battling acid reflux, insomnia and terrible blocked ears/tinnitus for the last couple of months.

rorosemary · 30/09/2020 20:52

30+5 here. I'm in the Netherlands, 41 yo and an ivf pregnancy after multiple losses. Will probably be induced around 38 weeks. A bit nervous but also very excited to meet our baby girl.

rorosemary · 30/09/2020 20:53

Oh and I have type 1 diabetes, thats why I will be induced. Kind of forgot to mention it. My brain is so mushy these days....

rorosemary · 30/09/2020 20:58

So all of you already have your hospital bags ready? I only have one chucked in the car for one night for myself since I was 20 weeks. Really need to sort out what I want to take for the baby but having trouble deciding how many clothes. The children in our family tend to be on the large side, so taking multiple sizes would be a good idea but also not sure how many since they also tend to spit a lot. Plus that I might have to stay for several days. I'm normally good at planning and packing but not when it comes to having a baby apparantly....

TTC1stTimer2020 · 30/09/2020 21:06

Another first timer here too, can I join in please? :) I'm a FTM in Ireland, at the 33 week mark now - so excited to feel we are nearly there now! I've had a good pregnancy so far, fairly few symptoms and limited discomfort thankfully. Hope everything else is doing well, I know it can be very uncomfortable at this stage!
I'm quite unorganised on both the nursery and hospital bag front - hope to sort both over the next week or two!

DueNumberTwo · 30/09/2020 21:07

This one took quite a while to conceive so ds is 4 already, he's very excited about becoming a big brother. I didn't bother redecorating nursery, I decorated DS new big boy bedroom instead and gave everything in the nursery a really good clean up.
Oh yeah, I've recently bought lots of drawer organisers too 😳🙈

Pukeymama · 30/09/2020 21:32

Hi to all the ones I haven't already said hello to! It's so nice to have a group of people all around the same stage. I'm not doing any anti natal classes this time around so is great to have some people to chat to. I'm really hoping the baby groups will be in full swing again by the time baby arrives, they were such a great way to meet people with my DS. I've had friends who had babies during lock down and really missed out on that making mum friends stage which is such a shame.

Pukeymama · 30/09/2020 22:02

@Relfm sorry to hear about your stressful pregnancy, already been in hospital for 4 weeks is crazy, you poor thing. Do you have to stay in until the baby is born? Do they allow your DP to visit?

BG1234 · 30/09/2020 22:05

Hi, can I join? 33 wks tomorrow- my due date is 19th Nov! Ftm and getting scared now!

Sairafina · 30/09/2020 22:16

I have been doing antenatal classes, they've been really helpful although now they've finished I'm supposed to be 'prepared and ready' but really don't feel it at all!
It has been lovely to meet other Mums though, I feel like I bore my other non-Mum friends sometimes even though I try to talk about the pregnancy as little as possible.

Relfm · 30/09/2020 22:21

Hi @Pukeymama. Yep, I'm here until delivery. I won't be going later than around 36 weeks, but if I bleed beforehand (had 3 big ones since 23 weeks) then they'll call it a day and hook him out! I definitely have to have a section and it'll prob be under GA due to expected blood loss - not quite the water birth I had in mind when I first got pregnant Shock.

We're fortunate that my husband can visit everyday between 11 and 5, although we tend to do every other - he still needs some time to work! I've also got my own room with ensuite, so a bit of privacy. Slightly worried how we're going to get all my accumulated stuff home when I do finally leave!

So any questions about extended stays on the ward, I'm your gal Smile.

Beccarans89 · 30/09/2020 22:43

Hi all! So lovely to read through all your responses on the thread, I am 32 weeks today too! FTM and expecting a little boy!

I had been furloughed since lockdown and only went back this week which has been a bit of a shock to the system but won't be back for too long! Have a hospital bag list but not packed it yet...I'm so excited but also totally in denial about how quickly time is going! Hopefully I'm not the only one!!
