Good luck today @Bananas52. I had an early scan at 5+5 and they could only see the yolk sac. I'm going for a private scan on Sunday when I'll be 7+1 for reassurance. Let us know how you get on.

Gingergeek89 · 28/09/2020 15:12

@ScottishLassie91 you are definitely not alone with the hormones. I burst into tears on Saturday because I realised I now have an aversion to macaroni cheese. I then proceeded to have a go at my poor husband because he didn’t realise the seriousness of if all haha

@leftitlate37 I felt the same until I actually saw a heartbeat on the screen at my scan the other week. With regards to food my midwife said that as long as you are taking some prenatal vitamins don’t worry too much about being healthy in the first trimester just eat what you need to in order to settle nausea etc. Then when the nausea settles you can pick up the good habits again. Hydration is by far the most important thing. Found it really reassuring

@bloomety thank you! Just back now and could see the heart beating nicely, such a relief! They put my measurements at 6 weeks so 1 week 3 days behind the calculators, so no wonder we couldn’t see it last week! Wishing you all the best for Sunday x

bloomety · 28/09/2020 15:27

Oh that's great news @Bananas52!! It's such a relief to hear as I'm anxious as well. I can't wait til Sunday.

Gingergeek89 · 28/09/2020 16:25

@Bananas52 congratulations on the good scan

@bloomety, how odd you've had dreams about packing as well!! I haven't hit the sex dreams yet.. haha! Yeah totally found I've turned into a light sleeper! But I did try @Gingergeek89'S recommendation of a hot chocolate last night and that helped - with my sleepy spray arriving today! I'm excited for bedtime already!

Great news on the scan @Bananas52 , will be huge relief!

@Gingergeek89 I'd cry if I had an aversion to macaroni cheese too! It's my favourite!! I tested it last week and went down a treat - I got upset though as I couldn't finish my plate due to loss of appetite! I miss my inner fat girl!!

Twobecomingthreeplusthedog · 28/09/2020 17:34

Hi all,

Newbie here! Due between 23-27th May (the calculators all say different thingsHmm.

I have booked a private scan for 8 weeks to get some reassurance as this is my first.

Getting nervous already just wanting to know everything is ok. Enjoying the decreased appetite as is my waist line Grin not so much the constant feeling of being hungover.

I haven’t had a midwife appointment yet but apparently due a call back this week. Called my doctors surgery who said due to covid they don’t do anything now and to book straight in with a midwife. They haven’t even reviewed my current daily medication yet to even know if that’s safe to be taking!Confused

Apart from the chronic tiredness I’m not doing too bad and enjoying learning to knit!

Willowfalls · 28/09/2020 17:51

Hi Ladies,

Please may I join?

I am due around May 28th & am 5weeks + 1. A bit worried as I have NO symptoms, apart from feeling a bit emotional. I’m not tired, no sickness, no sore boobs. Just nothing and worried it might be a bad sign.

I hope you ladies are well xxx

Intrigued2020 · 28/09/2020 19:12

Quick question - if I had a 2-3week positive clear blue test on the 19th of September does that mean I got pregnant in August? Has anyone had experience of clear blue being wrong? My last period was on the 1st of September and the GP said I can only be 4 weeks pregnant but why would I have a positive test on the 18th saying 2-3weeks? What do you guys think? xx

leftitlate37 · 28/09/2020 19:25

hi and welcome @Willowfalls and @Twobecomingthreeplusthedog (great name btw!!) congrats both!
I'm having a similar kinda panic today @willowfalls...im 7 weeks and mainly just have sore boobs. have had some periods of feeling queasy and burpy but its gone. Im kinda anxious but as everyone says people all have diff symptoms and they can start at different times, you are still early on :)

Twobecomingthreeplusthedog · 28/09/2020 20:02

Thank you!

I had normal period pains about 4 days before I was due and was super shocked when my period then didn’t come! But I did have really sore boobs that I thought was unusual.

I then felt horrendously sick since however since I told my mum at the weekend I’ve felt a lot better, not sure if coincidental or not!

Thanking my lucky stars I’m working from home at the moment as i am SO tired. I swear I could sleep for weeks!

leftitlate37 · 28/09/2020 20:53

Same here! My boobs were sore pretty soon after ovulation and I was like great, 2 weeks of this?! Then period pains that didnt turn into anything else! Tested 3 days after was due! Glad u have stopped feeling sick, hope it lasts! Can u have some afternoon snooze?

ScottishLassie91 · 28/09/2020 20:57

Hey @leftitlate37! I sympathise, I'm really trying to eat healthy but today I ended up with a big mac and was literally taking the leftover sauce out the box 🙈
I'd say go for the scan, mines is 2 weeks today for the same reason, just want that reassurance more than anything! X
Glad that alls okay! X

@Gingergeek89 glad I'm not the only one! Honestly hysterical sobbing and he was just like whats wrong whilst I'm wailing that I dont know what food I want and then ready to start crying again when i had fries after my big mac so couldnt taste it anymore and realised it was finished 😂

Willowfalls · 28/09/2020 20:59

@leftitlate37 thank you Smile. I just wish I even felt a little something! I’m just quite emotional. Turning in to a serial tester too!!! @Twobecomingthreeplusthedog I had the period pains too - we were away for the weekend and convinced af was due. Got my bfp on the Sunday. Have a private scan booked for Sunday 18th when I will be 8 weeks. Just for piece of mind!!!! Xx

Bananas52 · 28/09/2020 21:41

@Willowfalls I dread to think about the amount of money I have spent on tests this month, I just had to keep checking! Hope your scan goes well x

@Gingergeek89 my emotions have been all over the place too, I burst into tears the other day because our cat cuddled onto my lap 😂

Willowfalls · 28/09/2020 22:23

@Bananas52 thank you! How are you doing? When are you due? X

clm1987 · 28/09/2020 22:29

Hey ladies, just joining the thread - I'm estimated at 5+5 and due to have an early scan on Friday due to a previous molar pregnancy 13 years ago. Finding the wait hard Confused

ShalomToYouJackie · 29/09/2020 08:37

@Intrigued2020 The clearblue digital test with weeks show weeks since conception so on 19th Sep if you got a 2-3 weeks result then your HCG levels were indicative of having conceived 2-3 weeks before.

Pregnancies are dated from your LMP so a 2-3 weeks test actually means 4-5 weeks pregnant. Hope that explains it xx

ShalomToYouJackie · 29/09/2020 08:39

Also those tests aren't v accurate for dating as they go off your HCG level only so you could just have a high level of HCG

Intrigued2020 · 29/09/2020 08:41

@ShalomToYouJackie - Thanks for the explanation above! That’s what I was thinking but it’s strange that I had a period from the 1st of September. Maybe it was just a really heavy implantation bleed 🙈🙈 Our body’s are so confusing 😂 xx

Littlebee1990 · 29/09/2020 08:51

Hi ladies, update as promised after my visit to EPU last week when they said heartbeat was low and to expect the worst and go back in 2 weeks. Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers.. bubbas heartbeat is now 129bpm and I’m measuring at 6+4.. we’re not out the woods yet as it’s still very very early days and I have a haematoma to the side of bubba which is a risk but I have to rest, take it easy and keep hopeful everyday. She said as of today everything looks good and how it should and we saw bubbas heartbeat flickering away. We can’t quite believe it. ❤️😢

Yay @Littlebee1990 so happy for u! That's amazing news! Now rest up and take it easy:) that's such encouraging news!! Stay positive now xx

ScottishLassie91 · 29/09/2020 09:25

@Littlebee1990 that's fab news! So happy for you 🥰 rest up and take it easy xxx

ShalomToYouJackie · 29/09/2020 09:32

@Intrigued2020 definitely could've been implantation bleed based on the dates, I had bleeding on 19th Aug and thought it was AF early but it was actually implantation bleeding and got my BFP 4 days later!

RustyCat · 29/09/2020 09:33

@Littlebee1990 omg I'm so happy for you! I've been thinking about you since your first scan. So pleased bubba's heartbeat is stronger now!
