@PrincessPunzie welcome!! Awww congrats on your little girl! How exciting!! Have you told your boys?
How are you feeling in yourself?

I'm a little excited for us, but still very apprehensive until I get that first scan on the 4th nov. Keep having a word with my tummy to keep it sticking, grow really well and be lovely and healthy. The back of mine I keep saying (and be a girl) but in actual fact- I'm happy with either 😂

@Waitingforbabypage Thank you, that’s so lovely! Yes we told the boys this evening - my eldest is very excited, his brother has no real clue what’s going on but kept kissing my tummy, it was so sweet. I feel like I’ve won the lottery - the nausea has been awful, so bad that I’ve been on anti-emetics, but it’s easing and I’m so happy.

Is this your first? I’ve always wanted a girl but they’re thin on the ground in my husband’s family and little boys really are sooooo lovely, you won’t be disappointed either way x

Waitingforbabypage · 23/10/2020 20:15

@PrincessPunzie I have one of each myself (11yo girl and 8yo boy) and a 4 year old stepson so a girl would even it all out but we're genuinely absolutely over the moon that we're expecting, we just need a healthy little pudding to come along.

Im counting myself lucky that I haven't really had any symptoms- but I am anaemic, b12, vit c&d deficient so am absolutely knackered 😂😂😂

Laurendawn · 23/10/2020 20:48

Hi everyone! I’m new here :-)
I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks, had an early scan at 6 weeks 4 days (because I actually thought I was a little further on). I’m 10 weeks today and my 12 week scan is the 11th November. This is my first pregnancy and I’m SO excited but I keep finding myself worrying about the run up to the scan and even dreaming about it - just panicking that something might be wrong. I’m guessing this is quite normal? So I guess I’m just after a bit of reassurance Confused. A fair few of my pregnant symptoms have started to disappear which I’m told is normal and not a sign of anything but I just keep worrying myself.

so this wasnt what wanted to happen for a friday night....went for early scan tonight as couldnt wait for 12 weeks and was always a bit anxious about not having too many symptoms. worst nightmare came true.....should be 10.5 weeks, well no - measured 6 weeks with no heartbeat found. how cruel can your body be merrily going along its way with no indication there is something wrong :( really impressed with the scanning place tho, they are ringing my local hosp tomorrow for me and will get me booked in tomorrow for blood tests. not that u ever want this to happen to anyone, u always hope you wont be one of the statistics though....and then you are. guess it just wasnt meant to be this time eh. was looking forward to a may baby with you all too :(
anyway sorry for a friday night downer.
Congrats to all the other newbies who have joined.
@Laurendawn this is not what id want to post after your post, but please please please do not over think stuff, SOOO many ppl on here made me feel so much better whe they had few symptoms or they fluctuated over time, and everything was fine with their babies - its way more common for things to be fine than not fine, and theres nothing to say YOU won't be fine too. Esp if you had good news scan at 6 weeks, thats really positive! if i'd gone then, likely i would have found out then.
@PrincessPunzie huge huge congrats to you and so sorry to hear about your baby at 17 weeks. keeping everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy this time round with your little girl!
xxx

Laurendawn · 23/10/2020 21:11

@leftitlate37 I’m really sorry to hear that. It’s so scary how many stories you hear just like yours. I’m trying to not get carried away with myself and be positive and hope that I’m fortunate. Sending you love and thoughts at a really shitty time x

leftitlate37 · 23/10/2020 21:15

thanks @Laurendawn - stay positive for sure! us stressing ourselves out does no good! yeah ive gotta say i was quite naive at first and hadnt realised how common this was, never even heard of missed miscarriages 6 months ago....! best wishes to you and good luck for the 11th XX

Gingergeek89 · 23/10/2020 21:19

leftitlate37 · 23/10/2020 21:59

Thanks u lot, its nice when haven't really told anyone to be able to tell u all! Xx

Bea11 · 24/10/2020 06:32

@leftitlate37 so very sorry to read your sad news this morning. I had two mmc last year and remember how devastating it is to hear the words that there's no heartbeat. Good luck with the hospital appointment and I hope you're being looked after at home. Sending loads of love and a big hug xxx

ShalomToYouJackie · 24/10/2020 07:30

@leftitlate37 I'm so sorry ♥️

RustyCat · 24/10/2020 08:09

@leftitlate37 oh hun sending big hugs. O know exactly where you are coming from I was in your shoes in April. Take care of yourself and if you need a chat or just to vent we are all here!

leftitlate37 · 24/10/2020 08:23

Thanks again, you're a great bunch :) so sorry @RustyCat and @Bea11 this happened to you, ugh its horrible isn't it. what gives me hope right now is here u both are on the may babies page!
Dreading the part of what comes next 😕

Bea11 · 24/10/2020 08:38

I was also really worried about what was going to happen next but honestly the nurses in the EPU were wonderful and so compassionate. They'll explain all of your options and don't feel like you have to decide on the spot if you want a little time to think it over, then take it! I waited to see if my body would miscarry naturally both times but then when it didn't, I opted for surgical management. I was completely looked after and taken care of the whole time. Just make sure that you give yourself time to grieve afterwards. It's a big thing to go through and try to process. Always here if you want to talk or ask anything 😘

AnnaPosie · 24/10/2020 08:40

@leftitlate37 so so sorry to hear about your news xxx

leftitlate37 · 24/10/2020 08:50

Ah thanks so much @Bea11. Really sorry you wenT thru this twice but so glad u were well looked after. Part of me just wants it over as kinda think is it going to happen naturally as its been 4.5 weeks and body clearly hasn't done anything? apparently cos of covid the surgical option is prob out the window :(

Just waiting to find out now when can get seen, my local hosp cant see me til Wednesday...seems forever away, and that would just be for bloods. So trying another trust in case they can do sooner. Fingers crossed. Thanks again everyone xx

PrincessPunzie · 24/10/2020 09:57

@ Waitingforbabypage oh you’re a pro at motherhood then! What a lovely big family. I hope you feel a bit more energetic soon.

@ leftitlate37 that’s so lovely of you, thank you. I’m ever so sorry for your loss.

@ Laurendawn congratulations! Don’t panic - it’s really common for symptoms to ease at around 10 weeks (although they often come back). My boobs completely shrunk back to their normal size at 10 weeks, and I freaked! But all was well at the scan x

AnnaPosie · 24/10/2020 11:17

@laurendawn I am nearly 10 weeks and can feel symtoms easing, I haven't been physically throwing up but get a lot of nausea and super tired but have noticed boobs aren't as sore , first scan next week so hoping it will put me at ease

Bea11 · 24/10/2020 11:38

@leftitlate37 how frustrating for you. I can understand just wanting to get it all sorted. It's a horrible limbo to be in for you. Sorry also to hear that surgery may not be an option atm. Thinking about you and hope that you're able to be seen before Weds xxx

LittleTiger007 · 24/10/2020 11:51

I’m so very sorry to hear your news @leftitlate37 😥 the same thing happened to me back in June. I’m now at 10 weeks with a scan next week ... fearing the same. My heart sank reading your post as I know exactly how that feels. Give yourself time. Sending a hand hold.

AnnaPosie · 24/10/2020 13:50

Anyone else just feeling nauseous on and off throughout the day as opposed to getting sick ? I've not been physically sick but get waves of nausea

LittleTiger007 · 24/10/2020 14:56

@AnnaPosie I’m the same. I have waves of nausea which are eased by eating. I haven’t actually been sick, though at times I’ve thought I might. I’m mostly plagued by headaches currently.

PrincessPunzie · 24/10/2020 15:03

@AnnaPosie yep! I was so nauseous that the midwife said she considered my morning sickness to be life-limiting and sent me to the GP for anti-emetics...but I haven’t actually vomited once. Although there’s been some retching! Pregnancy is weird.
