I ring up and the nurse specialist knows me from going with my last two children to be checked a few times. I think most areas you can ring directly and in e you say you've had an exotic they book you in from 5.5 weeks.

Emleighh · 17/09/2020 14:55

It's nice to meet everyone!

@RustyCat & @Serz88 I'm in Essex as well, just by Stansted!

@dreamingofsunshine12 I'm so sorry to hear about your history but congratulations!! I'm super nervous as well due to my 2 prev mmc and my diabetes. You can get an eary viability scan from about 6 weeks + - I've got mine booked in for the 22nd Sept and I'll be around 8 weeks at that point. Just speak to EPU and they can sort it for you :)

dreamingofsunshine12 · 17/09/2020 15:37

Did you have to register or book in first?

notleglass · 17/09/2020 16:13

@dreamingofsunshine12 depends on your area I think. I just ring up and she books me in.

TheMagicDeckchair · 17/09/2020 16:25

@Bea11 I thought the same about menopause! It’s easy to see how you could mistake the symptoms for it.

mouldygrapes · 17/09/2020 18:58

Welcome all the new joiners - it’s mad how many of us there are!

@SweetpeaOrMarigold that sounds grim, hopefully you don’t get HG with this pregnancy too.

Sickness hasn’t hit here yet, just vague nausea at times. I seem to be worse with symptoms in the evenings (more tired, more crampy, less appetite).
Falling asleep on the sofa here which is very unlike me, but we are on holiday so maybe I’m just relaxing (something I’m terrible at!)

RustyCat · 17/09/2020 19:15

@Emleighh no way! That's literally up the road from me too 🤣 such a small world!

The dreaded bloating has got me now 🤣 DH said I have a little pot belly and it looks weird as I don't normally have one. Charming chap he is!

lenny12345 · 17/09/2020 20:10

VERY EXCITED LADIEES!!!

I've been feeling anxious all day today, so took a digital to make sure it was still at 2-3 weeks. I had drank a whole bottle of juice on my way home from work so fully expected this to come back at 1-2 and had gone for a wee around a hour half ago but I was happy if I even still got the pregnant on there in my head. I THEN GOT THIS!!!!!

Is anyone else due on the 22nd may 2021?

@lenny12345 excellent!! 😄 xx

lenny12345 · 17/09/2020 21:14

@Evey43 thank you so much!! This is the first time my body has ever done this!! Really hope next week my early scan goes okay. How are you doing? Xxxx

OP posts:
Evey43 · 17/09/2020 21:18

@lenny12345 not too bad thank you, just waiting for my early scan to but not til 8th October 😫 when I’ll be a day off 8 weeks. Feels like forever!

I am so excited for you! I will keep everything crossed for next week 😊 xx

Catisa · 17/09/2020 21:38

@lenny12345 that's great! Very happy for you

@Evey43 is that the earliest you can do a scan? I think I will also do one, no way I'll be waiting until 12 weeks for the routine one. It's too long

Bea11 · 17/09/2020 21:38

@lenny12345 what a brilliant photo to see! It's all going in the right direction. I have everything crossed for you x

Evey43 · 17/09/2020 21:57

@Catisa I’m not sure, I’ve been going through IVF and they do a scan at 7 weeks as standard (I think) before discharging you to GP/midwife. I’m sure you can ring a private scan clinic and ask, you’ll definitely be able to get in before 12 weeks. NHS I wouldn’t have thought so unless there’s an issue. How many weeks are you? Xx

Catisa · 17/09/2020 22:02

@Evey43 ok I see, thank you for the info. I will definitely call to see when it can be done. I am 4 weeks, very early stages! But it doesn't stop me from being anxious already!
I wish everything goes well on your side :)

Evey43 · 17/09/2020 22:07

@Catisa I get it, I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and feel exactly the same. Hope all goes well for you too 😊 xx

Jlw2020 · 18/09/2020 08:00

I’m 5 weeks yesterday, due 21st May ‘21. Had 2 early MC but feeling 3rd time lucky 🍀🥰

CharlieD2020 · 18/09/2020 09:41

Hi ladies, how are we all feeling this morning?

Also, who here is going to book a private early scan? And if so - which week of pregnancy?

lucymagoo · 18/09/2020 09:52

@CharlieD2020 I kept going between wanting one at 6 weeks, ASAP to find out if the pregnancy is viable and 8 weeks to leave until the day before we tell our parents (telling them on FIL's birthday). Will probably split the different and got for 7 weeks and 5 days which is 3 weeks today

mouldygrapes · 18/09/2020 10:09

Thinking 7 or 8 weeks which is 3 or 4 weeks time.

Sent my midwife booking form in on Monday and not heard anything back yet, I’ll chase it up next week.
Weirdly it didn’t ask about dates (eg LMP) on the form; just if you were over 12 weeks.

How’s everyone feeling today?

Catisa · 18/09/2020 10:41

Hello ladies, feeling ok on my side, tired, woke up at 2am and spent 2h awake... luckily is Friday!
What about you?
Also thinking about doing a scan at 8 weeks, to check everything is going as it should

TheMagicDeckchair · 18/09/2020 10:44

I haven’t yet decided on whether to have an early scan. I think I will get to 6 weeks and make a decision then. Last pregnancy was IVF so the 6 week scan was done as part of the procedure.

Seems that all the midwife referrals are different depending on the trust? Been reading about self referrals, but when I phoned the gp they booked me a telephone appointment with the midwife at 6 weeks.

Kayla1993 · 18/09/2020 10:48

Hello everyone congratulations on your BFP! I’m due 06.05.2021 I had a private scan at 6 weeks 2 days and seen a little heart beat :D seems strange being pregnant as my son is 8! I keep doing pregnancy tests still😂 would love some mummy friends though :)

RustyCat · 18/09/2020 11:53

Hi guys, doing well today. I want to do an early scan but in scared of what I will see after my MC in April. So I'm not sure 🤣.

Had the most awful dream last night about loosing baby it was horrific and woke up in a sweat and panic thinking it had actually happened. Not the nicest wake up I've had.

Evey43 · 18/09/2020 13:52

@RustyCat oh no! Horrible but at least only a dream.

I’ve just had a MS teams meeting with new staff about my role, pretty sure I’ve confused them more and just rambled my way through it. I think that pregnancy fog is settling in nicely 🤪

Xx
