I thought I was the only one waking up in the middle of the night for no reason! This is the 4th time in a row... it's going to be tough

luckylakes · 17/09/2020 05:13

@Catisa it's awful isn't it. Google tells me it's a thing apparently.

If I didn't have to work the next day it'd be fine.....

Catisa · 17/09/2020 06:02

It's amazing how many things about pregnancy nobody tells you..or I guess some symptoms are not very common. I don't think I am going to be very sharp at work today... on top of being totally coffee deprived! Arg

Serz88 · 17/09/2020 06:50

Thank god mine is only around 5am. I have chronic fatigue syndrome so the lack of sleep is definitely something I'm worried about. But managing quite well at the moment

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 17/09/2020 06:58

I was awake twice in the night with nightmares, in one my partner had been in a car crash and the police answered his phone but wouldn't give me a straight answer. The second I was merrily cheating on him which would never happen, I'm really happy! Just been woken by hearing my 10yo get up and again I was having a very strange dream we had sat at the wrong table at a wedding and my son had eaten a specially prepared meal for someone else.
Think I'm going insane!!

Bea11 · 17/09/2020 07:07

@luckylakes

Morning everyone. I'm suffering from terrible insomnia. I've been awake since 3am for about 5 mornings in a row! I'm like a zombie in the day!

I love this thread as we're all due around the same time but I've started another thread specifically for anyone who is over 40 and due in 2021 as there are extra worries that come with being older! I don't know how to link on my phone but come and find me if that's you 😊

I've found you and joined your thread, thanks 😊

I wake up between 2-3am each night. Some nights I manage to get back to sleep and others I don't. I'm currently wfh and so if I can't sleep, I just get up and start work and then go back to bed after lunch. It stops me from going crazy just lying there not being able to sleep! Very annoying though when you just want a good night's sleep!

LS2020 · 17/09/2020 07:24

I haven’t been having too much issue when I’m sleeping but the second I wake up at any time in the night, my nausea hits straight away and then I’m stuck up. I can’t believe I’m only 4 weeks with this much sickness, not looking forward to the next 8 😂

Catisa · 17/09/2020 07:25

Hello Bea11, welcome!
It's been 4 days waking up at 4 am for me...like you sometimes I go back to sleep others I can't.
Also working from home most of the days but trying to keep usual timing. I plan to use my lunch break to have a nap! One of the good things of wfh

TheMagicDeckchair · 17/09/2020 07:47

@Serz88 thanks for your comments, I hope that DD is happy with having a sibling, she does love other kids, especially older girls! A couple of mum friends from DD’s baby group already have baby siblings and they’re managing well so fingers crossed we do too.

@luckylakes I will also hop on the geriatric thread if you don’t mind me joining! I’ll be 41 when LO arrives.

Main symptom here is being ridiculously hot. I wake up in the night sweating. I had a pretty straightforward pregnancy with DD with no nausea so I’m hoping second time around I’ll be lucky too.

Sophi123 · 17/09/2020 08:04

Morning all! So I'm a bit in shock - just tested again at 4wk5d on a CB digital and has come back as 3+ weeks! Obviously delighted initially as never made it past 1-2 with my CP in July but now freaking out that it's too early and means something bad! Think that's my last test anyhow because I can't cope with this anxiety any more. Still basically zero symptoms too....

Is anyone else due on the 22nd may 2021?
lucymagoo · 17/09/2020 08:25

@Sophi123 that's a good thing! You can't be too pregnant 😂 fingers crossed for you but this looks like good news to me

lucymagoo · 17/09/2020 08:26

Also I have no symptoms except my boobs are still sore like they get pre-period. Otherwise fine this week Smile

Sophi123 · 17/09/2020 08:36

Hehe sorry anxiety so high! Was literally happy for like 30 seconds before I started worrying it was an ectopic pregnancy or something. Need to calm down!

Bea11 · 17/09/2020 08:57

@TheMagicDeckchair OMG! The sweating at night! It's making me dread the menopause!!

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 17/09/2020 09:29

Anyone else vomiting? Had hyperemesis previously and ended up admitted on IV fluids. Felt nauseous last few days but last night was sick and again this morning I feel like I'm holding onto it. Have so much to do and just want to crawl into bed for a week.

CharlieD2020 · 17/09/2020 09:39

Haha, only in 2020 would that happen Grin So happy for you both and that this is sticking

CharlieD2020 · 17/09/2020 10:12

Not yet for me @SweetpeaOrMarigold, though I didn't feel like eating anything for breakfast and the thought of anything made me feel yuck (that's not like me). When did your hyperemesis kick in last time? Sounds horrid, poor you, I hope this pregnancy is free of that for you

dreamingofsunshine12 · 17/09/2020 10:21

Hi everyone

I would like to tentatively join. Found out 2 days ago I was pregnant. I'm 43 and had an ectopic and tube removal last time so my anxiety is through the roof and I'm pretty convinced my stay on this thread will be short lived but at the moment I am just telling myself take it one day at a time...

lucymagoo · 17/09/2020 10:22

It's only a matter of time before the sickness hits me, this is my first so no idea how I'll react but I do get nauseous very easily and always have 😂 it doesn't take much so I'm definitely expecting pregnancy to make me sick too

CharlieD2020 · 17/09/2020 10:45

Welcome @dreamingofsunshine12, and congratulations on your BFP Flowers I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic and tube removal. Sorry to hear your anxiety is so high too, keeping everything crossed for you! Have you told anyone?

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 17/09/2020 10:45

Welcome @dreamingofsunshine12 this whole thing is so worrying isnt it, congratulations on your BFP though! I feel the same due to previous MCs but then my mind starts thinking about mat leave and prams as well.
@CharlieD2020 unsure exactly but I know I had suffered a while, by the time I went to the gp I couldnt keep sips of water down and he wanted to call an ambulance to get me to hospital at 8 weeks.

londoncitygal92 · 17/09/2020 11:03

Hi everyone

Glad I found this thread!

I have just found out I am expecting after experiencing a miscarriage over summer, I didn't expect that I would fall so quickly again and like others am quite petrified last time we told our parents but this time keeping silent until its safe to do so fingers crossed my app gives me 18.05.2021 as my due date. I'm 28 and a stepmum to my partner's two sons who are almost teenagers and amazing big brothers to their baby brother on their mum's side, they're always asking when we will be having one so our little bean has been very much wanted for a while now!

I am trying to not to get my hopes up and other than looking at these threads just trying to distract myself with work to be honest, went back to the city last week after 6 months of working from home I am going to work from home one day a week whilst the trains are still quite quiet and office isn't too full yet but if they go mental I will be working from home more, I hate wearing a mask but has to be done! Is anyone worried being out and about whilst pregnant, any other commuters on here?

Nice to meet you all

notleglass · 17/09/2020 12:41

@dreamingofsunshine12 hi, I've had an ectopic and rube removal too around six years ago!! I have a scan on Monday with epu to check it's in the right place. Are you having an early scan?

dreamingofsunshine12 · 17/09/2020 12:51

@notleglass yes I would love an early scan to confirm it's where it should be as I am scared of a repeat. How early can they scan you and how do you get one. Just ring the epu?

dreamingofsunshine12 · 17/09/2020 12:52

@notleglass sorry to hear of your ectopic and removal by the way. It's an awful experience isn't it? Fingers crossed for your scan
