@mouldygrapes I work on a very big ward so we've had plenty of doctors and nurses pregnant. When covid hit they kept all pregnant women off initially, but as research started coming in, they said you can be at work until 28wks. Quite looking forward to it really, was a bit jealous of everyone on lockdown, my house is in desperate need of some love and attention!

Hanni1234 · 16/09/2020 09:39

Hello and congratulations everybody! I’m due 23rd May! Came as a bit of a shock, our little boy is only 9 months old, but we are over the moon! I tested on Saturday because I had a slight nauseous feeling but since then, I’ve just had a little bit of fatigue and that’s it. Anyone else not have any symptoms yet?!

Laurenemma13 · 16/09/2020 09:58

Hows everyone today? I'm not getting many symptoms apart from stomach cramps on and off and boobs a bit tender. Had a horrible taste in my mouth as well when I woke up! Wondering where that pregnancy glow is ... I've had the worst breakout since I was a teenager and red blemishes on my nose. More like Rudolph glow than pregnancy glow 🤣
Just booked for an early scan so only 26 days to go lol x

Trousersareoverrated · 16/09/2020 10:08

The only symptom I am getting is burping a lot. I constantly have a feeling at the back of my throat like I need to burp or there is something stuck in there. It is v embarrassing. I’m not even sure if it is pregnancy related. Anyone else have it?

RustyCat · 16/09/2020 10:20

@lucymagoo whoa that's amazing! Definitely parallel lives!

@Trousersareoverrated yes I get that on and off, but admittedly I have been burping alot 🤣. Other than that i mostly have tender boobs on and off and a bit of cramping/back pain but nothing serious or scary thankfully

lucymagoo · 16/09/2020 10:42

I feel like all my symptoms have gone, I'm tired but might be due to giving up caffeine and that I'm back in the office and not used to it. My finger joints hurt today, is that a symptom? 😂

mouldygrapes · 16/09/2020 10:59

Yes, I’ve been burpy too.
Other than that I feel OK - tired but I think that’s caffeine withdrawal like you @lucymagoo.
Not as sick as I felt at the weekend.
I’ve read a lot of people don’t really feel much until 6-8 weeks

Emleighh · 16/09/2020 11:27

Hey I'll be joining you guys as well! Due 11th May but feeling super anxious at the moment due to have 2 miscarriages both around the 12 week mark!! I've got an early scan in a couple weeks on the 29th Sept so just taking it a day at a time right now!

lucymagoo · 16/09/2020 12:34

Welcome @Emleighh Smile hope this one works out for you 🤞🏼

RustyCat · 16/09/2020 12:59

@Emleighh congratulations!! I know the nerves I had a miscarriage earlier this year so I'm a bit nervy too.

CharlieD2020 · 16/09/2020 13:28

@Amy259 so exciting, congratulations! Please keep us posted on when you tell your DH and his reaction! Did everyone else test with husbands/partners there, or did you tell them after you'd found out?

Amy259 · 16/09/2020 13:31

Thank you @CharlieD2020! Been a bit anxious today as my FRER wasn’t darker than yesterday’s and I expected it to be. 5 faint positive cheapies and 2 positive FRERs but I’m still not convinced 😂 I’ll feel better when I get a positive on a digital but think I’m going to be a worrier until May!

CharlieD2020 · 16/09/2020 13:42

So sorry to hear of your previous miscarriages @Emleighh and @RustyCat. Keeping everything crossed for everyone x

CharlieD2020 · 16/09/2020 14:27

Ahh I totally get that! I am sat here with every cramp trying not to worry that bleeding will follow! I'm hoping it all works out perfectly for you though! We can worry together, I think I will be worrying a bit until May too hehe Grin

lucymagoo · 16/09/2020 15:39

I told my husband first thing, woke him up with "I think I have a positive test" and his response was "to covid??" 😂
He didn't really believe it until about a day or two later and saw my lines getting stronger despite doing a digital the same morning. I had a chemical/false positive on a Tesco test a while ago and he thought it was gonna be the same.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 16/09/2020 16:05

@lucymagoo mine said "even I can see that line!" We are getting a little more excited because the last 2 were over by now so this is a step forward already

Catisa · 16/09/2020 18:25

Hello Ladies!
Another one here due 25/05 :)
First baby, we are very excited!
Until the fourth test I couldn't believe it...I might do more in the future to convince myself that is real XD
Not a lot of symptoms so far, a bit of cramping but very mild, also some spotting yesterday -when my period was due- but today nothing
So far the worst is to give up caffeine!

RustyCat · 16/09/2020 18:29

@CharlieD2020 I took my test at stupid o'clock in the morning when I woke, left it in the bathroom whilst I waited for hubby to wake and the nosey sod that he is looked at it before I had even seen it!! I had waited 2 hours for him to get up to look at it together, I was absolutely raging 🤣

Serz88 · 16/09/2020 18:33

Aww @Amy259 that sounds lovely. I put my 2 tests in a box and wrapped it at lightening speed before he got home. I filmed him open it and his reaction and I've watched it atleast 5 times already! Sounds like your wedding was lovely!!
@lenny12345 I think my due date is 18th May going by the ovulation date. I'm in Romford Essex, how about you??? X

RustyCat · 16/09/2020 18:35

@Serz88 oooh fellow Essex person here too!

Serz88 · 16/09/2020 18:38

@RustyCat what part are you from?

RustyCat · 16/09/2020 20:20

@Serz88 I'm in Witham, so up the road from you 🤣

TheMagicDeckchair · 16/09/2020 21:16

Mind if tentatively join? My BFP was a shock, I have a nearly 3 year old DD and it took two full rounds of IVF and years of TTC to have her. I am now 40, and was deliberating over whether to have another round when it just happened naturally, straightaway. Still in shock about it.

I am thrilled but also anxious about a loss, as I’ve known a number of other friends suffer miscarriages recently. My age is a concern for genetic defects, and when I had DD I was rushed into theatre for a manual removal of my placenta and had a horrible 4 days in hospital. Not to mention Covid and the effect on maternity and antenatal care. Even if all goes well, I am terrified of the newborn days again, the sleep deprivation almost broke me with DD and even now she’s not a great sleeper. I don’t know how she will cope with sharing mummy either, she’s so attached to me.

On the positive side we always wanted two, and DD has no other children in the family, so it will be nice for her to have a sibling. I’m also more relaxed about sleeping arrangements and feeding etc second time around. I think I may actually enjoy mat leave more this time having already done it once!

I am still struggling to believe it will happen. If it does I’ll be due 21-24 May according to the calculators.

Serz88 · 16/09/2020 22:07

@TheMagicDeckChair congratulations! I'm that same as you still in shock and cant quite let myself accept this is happening and probably won't until I get a scan really!
I'm a fellow IVF baby so I'm so glad this has happened naturally for you as I've heard what my mum went through and it takes such a toll mentally and physically!
I work with young children and the ones you worry about coping with another sibling often surprise you :)

luckylakes · 17/09/2020 03:44

Morning everyone. I'm suffering from terrible insomnia. I've been awake since 3am for about 5 mornings in a row! I'm like a zombie in the day!

I love this thread as we're all due around the same time but I've started another thread specifically for anyone who is over 40 and due in 2021 as there are extra worries that come with being older! I don't know how to link on my phone but come and find me if that's you 😊
