Looking for someone to chat too? I'm due on 22nd of may by the online calculators.

Just wanted to speak with someone who's just found out their expecting too?

Feeling very anxious due to previously having misscarriages

@Bea11 sadly not he can't leave work so I have to go completely on my own to this one. I have taken the day off work so IF it's bad news then I can wallow in my self pity at home without having to put on a happy face. I do hope it's not, I've had alot more symptoms this time round and last time it started with a small bleed which thankfully I haven't had this time.

@CharlieD2020 isn't it just, I feel so squirrelly not telling anyone but it's for the best.

I have my fingers crossed for both of you ladies for your scans too!

Bea11 · 26/10/2020 10:00

Good luck to you both too!
Sorry that he can't get the time off work @RustyCat but glad that you've taken the day off. That's what I've done too! Let's hope we're both a bit luckier this time round xx

My 12 week scan is next Monday. Starting to feel really nervous now. We had a scan at 7 weeks and all was looking good. My sickness has finally subsided Grin
Anyone who's had theirs what should I expect? How long is the appointment? Do they make time for you to ask questions or is it very rushed?

Trousersareoverrated · 27/10/2020 19:41

My NHS scan is 2 weeks today when I will be 13 weeks. If anyone has their scan and can give some insight into what a scan during Covid is like it would be really helpful.

I remember at my nhs scan with my DD I drank a whole pint of water which it turned out was way too much. They had to get me to go an wee half of it out which was awful! I had no idea how much ‘half’ of it was! So I had to go to the toilet twice and stop mid-wee both times. I wish they would be more specific about how much you should drink. I can’t remember if it was my 12 or 20 week scan though!

RustyCat · 28/10/2020 09:44

@Trousersareoverrated ive not had mine yet but it is next Wednesday so I can let you know. My letter tells me to drink 1 and 1/2 pints of water before my scan, if it's like my last one I was absolutely dieing for a wee before they saw me 🤣 and the prodding with the probe was murder on my very full bladder

mouldygrapes · 28/10/2020 15:24

My scan will be the day after yours @Trousersareoverrated! I’ve had no instructions yet. Just had my booking appt on the phone, they’ll do bloods when I go for the scan.
I’m to take aspirin as age/borderline BMI means it’s probably best. I think a few of you are on it?

Bloods will be done next week after the scan.
The good news is she said they do a version of NIPT on the NHS if the trisomy screening shows high risk. That’s a bit of a relief if we need it, but I know not everywhere offers that.

hereforallthehelp · 28/10/2020 17:12

How is everyone else feeling? I can’t stop being sick after meals - mainly lunchtime and dinner. And cramping! I’ve text my midwife and she said it’s completely normal but this 10 week malarkey isn’t all that fun at the moment!!

bloomety · 28/10/2020 20:15

I’m having a bit of a panic. I’ve had green snot like discharge last night and again tonight. I couldn’t get hold of my midwife so I’ve been to the doctors and done a swab. I’m just so worried there’s something wrong with the baby. My NHS scan is on Tuesday. I hope I can wait until then.

lucymagoo · 28/10/2020 21:06

@hereforallthehelp a bit fed up, I'm 11 weeks today so not long left. I can't even remember what it feels like to not feel like crap 24/7

hereforallthehelp · 29/10/2020 09:56

@bloomety well done for going to get it checked out. Let us know how you get on.

@lucymagoo I’m with you and said the same to my husband last night. Can’t wait to not feel like this, hopefully only another few weeks until the magical second trimester 😂

CharlieD2020 · 29/10/2020 10:00

Hoping you feel reassured really soon @bloomety. Let us know how you get on!

I'm feeling a bit better now - still extremely tired, but not as nauseous and the horrible metal taste that has been bothering me for many weeks (tastes like I have copper coins in my mouth) has faded lots. Hoping the placenta is starting to kick in now and is helping.

Anyone else feel they are starting to show? No one else would notice on me, but I can see a difference in my tummy area!

Trousersareoverrated · 29/10/2020 13:05

Fingers crossed all is well bloomety.

I have definitely got a bit of a bump going on. I put on a few lbs drinking wine in lockdown so I am hoping people think it’s a continuation of that. At least I work from home so nobody can really see me! I think the fact it is my second and I had a c section last time has made it more pronounced.

bloomety · 29/10/2020 13:08

Thanks all. I rang my midwife and she said not to worry.

Oh I know @CharlieD2020 I’m relieved too that I’m not feeling sick all the time. I think I am starting to show, but that’s more to do with the fact I’ve put 7 pounds on. Oops. I’ve just been so hungry and up until a couple of weeks ago I felt so sick of if didn’t eat every two hours.

lucymagoo · 29/10/2020 13:13

I've got a tiny bump too! I've actually lost a stone purely from lack of appetite, fully aware it will all pile back on and more though 😂

mouldygrapes · 29/10/2020 14:41

I haven’t actually weighed myself since week 6 but feel about the same weight, possibly less as not been eating well but also done zero exercise so who knows!
My BMI if my weight is the same is on the borderline for needing aspirin, but I guess better to be on the safe side even if I’ve lost a bit?

No bump here yet just lockdown lard!!!

Littlebee1990 · 29/10/2020 18:09

I can’t believe there’s a baby in my belly!
Due 16th May, can’t wait to see all your other photos! ❤️❤️

All happy and healthy, baby kept waving 🤣 measuring 11+4. Hematoma gone and heartbeat was strong He said the baby is very lively and happy looking 😂😍😆😍

Bea11 · 29/10/2020 18:30

Lovely news @Littlebee1990 🥰

Littlebee1990 · 29/10/2020 19:41

Thank you!

Could someone tell me how I join the Facebook group please? Xxx

bloomety · 29/10/2020 20:37

Oh that’s gorgeous @Littlebee1990. Congratulations.

Yes I’d like to know how to join too.

mouldygrapes · 29/10/2020 22:33

Oh, wonderful news @Littlebee1990!
Sorry, not heard of a FB group

RustyCat · 30/10/2020 09:44

@Littlebee1990 on congratulations what a gorgeous picture!!

I'm getting so excited for mine on Wednesday, nervous still but excited 😁

I think the FB group is mentioned in the main due May 2021 chat group.

Meomeomeo · 30/10/2020 10:39

@Littlebee1990 I’m due 16/5 as well, measured 11+4 yesterday.
My NIPT came back today and it’s low risk. We just found out we’re having a girl. I think I finally can feel pregnant.

CharlieD2020 · 01/11/2020 22:49

Congratulations @meomeomeo! Lots of lovely news. How do you know the baby's gender so early? I thought the earliest we could find out is 16 weeks! Counting the days for that info :)

mouldygrapes · 02/11/2020 07:39

@CharlieD2020 if you have a NIPT they look for fetal DNA so can tell gender from that
Congratulations @Meomeomeo

Meomeomeo · 02/11/2020 07:57

Yes, I had Harmony done at 10+4 at the Fetal Medicine Centre @CharlieD2020 @mouldygrapes. Requested the gender so I found out last week at 11+5
