Looking for someone to chat too? I'm due on 22nd of may by the online calculators.

Just wanted to speak with someone who's just found out their expecting too?

Feeling very anxious due to previously having misscarriages

Oh fruit. I really should try and eat fruit. Yeah I had a bread week last week. I made 2 sourdough loaves and happily consumed slice after slice all day

bloomety · 07/10/2020 16:08

Oh yes soup. I intended to have homemade tomato and garlic soup today, but then I saw KFC...

Littlebee1990 · 07/10/2020 16:29

@bloomety.. I had 2 sausage rolls for breakfast yesterday if that makes you feel better 🤣🤣

I’ve bought a nutribullet and forcing myself to have a smoothie a day so I’m getting some goodness outside of sausage rolls, bread and popcorn

bloomety · 07/10/2020 17:22

That does make me feel better! I actually bought two sausage rolls today at Greggs. Haven’t ate them yet though. So that’s a win. Hubby and kids are having chipping for tea. I’m going to have my tomato soup. I’ll not feel like a fat pig then!

bloomety · 07/10/2020 17:23

I can never make my mind up with smoothies. I know they’re meant to be good for you but they have so much sugar in them. I might start buying them again. Lidl and Aldi do them in cartons for a fraction of the price of innocent.

lucymagoo · 07/10/2020 17:28

They do @bloomety but it's natural sugar so only as much as would be in the fruit if you eat it. I think it's a great way to get some of your 5 a day and smoothies have all the fibre and goodness that gets taken out of juice so again, really good for you!

mouldygrapes · 07/10/2020 18:35

@Littlebee1990 nutribullet is a good shout. Ours broke during lockdown but I think getting a new one is a good idea.

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 07/10/2020 18:48

My vomiting stopped and I felt much more alive the last few days but then started panicking it gone after that spotting and cramps. Second guessing ourselves constantly aren't we?!
Anyway this evening I vomited twice so its reassuring if horrible! Still only eating beige. A doctor at work (I told her last night because I felt so unwell) said she lived on protein shakes for a few weeks and the protein helped, going to get some tomorrow and will let you know.
My miscarriage clinic appt is tomorrow with scan hopefully. Just want to see that little heartbeat is there.

bloomety · 07/10/2020 19:01

Yes I think I’ll start with smoothies again @lucymagoo. I don’t eat much veg and I eat no fruit.

mylittlebean2019 · 07/10/2020 19:04

Omg all this talk of KFC and greggs is making me hungry! 😂

bloomety · 08/10/2020 09:03

I don’t know if anyone has a fitbit but if you do, check out your resting heart rate. It goes up when your pregnant. It’s pretty fascinating.

Is anyone else due on the 22nd may 2021?
mylittlebean2019 · 08/10/2020 09:07

Hey ladies, I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant and having really bad cramping. I was on the loo and it felt like a giant stitch it took my breath away. I’m also really windy and can’t stop burping. I had a shower but still feel pain in my left side and dull ache in my back and v. I haven’t had any spotting or blood but I’m guessing this can’t be good?! Anyone had any thing similar? 😫😫

bloomety · 08/10/2020 09:13

Oh @mylittlebean2019 it’s normal to have random pains all the time. It’s your uterus stretching and ligaments stretching to allow for it. I’ve had 2 MC before and I didn’t have any pain at all with them. I did have pains like you describe with my pregnancy with my son though and that turned out fine.

I keep getting really sharp radiating pains on my right hand side. I’ve got a cyst in my ovary though which is from the follicle the egg came out of. Maybe you have a cyst and that would explain the left hand pain. Can you get seen at the EPU?

Bea11 · 08/10/2020 09:48

@mylittlebean2019 just a thought, but it's not trapped wind is it? You said you'd been burping a lot. I've had trapped wind in previous pregnancies and it is extremely painful. Peppermint tea and gentle exercise like going for a walk can help to shift it, if that's what it is. Obviously if it doesn't go away, probably worth contacting midwife/EPU. xx

Jlw2020 · 08/10/2020 10:28

Morning! Went to bed last night throwing up and had my most horrific bout of diarhorrea yet about midnight. Woke up this morning having slept in til 6.30 (success) but got up and felt normal. My boobs aren’t tender, I don’t feel sick and I’m sat eating a piece of toast without retching....should I be pleased I feel okay or worried something is wrong 😬 🆘

mouldygrapes · 08/10/2020 10:49

It’s so hard isn’t it @Jlw2020! Everything I’ve read suggests that fluctuations in symptoms are normal but of course it’s hard not to worry!
I think enjoy it while it lasts, and see what comes.

@mylittlebean2019 does sound like trapped wind and the things that @Bea11 mentioned really helped me when I had that a couple of weeks ago

Jlw2020 · 08/10/2020 10:53

@mouldygrapes yeah and I feel ridiculous because I’m on Cyclizine for the sickness because it’s been so bad and now I’m panicking because I feel better 🙈 can’t win. Thanks I’m just driving myself mad x

mouldygrapes · 08/10/2020 11:17

@Jlw2020 I did exactly the same yesterday! We’re all in the same boat and it’s so good that we have each other to talk to/moan to/sympathise with x

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 08/10/2020 12:22

You've just described me exactly a couple of days ago! Back vomiting again now though which was part relief and also rubbish.

mylittlebean2019 · 08/10/2020 12:26

Thanks for the advice ladies. Still in pain. It seems to ease when I don’t move. @Bea11 how long did the pain last when you had trapped wind? My EPU is closed now but will definitely call them in the morning if still having pain. My mum is coming over this afternoon and I was planning on telling her I was pregnant but now I’m so worried this is the beginning of something not good I’m not sure if I should tell her?! 😕

CharlieD2020 · 08/10/2020 13:07

I hope the pain clears soon @mylittlebean2019 and that it's just trapped wind. So horrid as we can't have xray vision to see what's happening in there! Maybe see how you feel when you see your mum? I would guess all is probably absolutely fine and it's just gastro symptoms but I guess it depends whether you would want to share with your mum if the worst happened?

I had my scan today! All looks good Star measuring 7days+2 which is just one day behind my guess, strong heartbeat of 150 bpm and feeling very relieved!

bloomety · 08/10/2020 13:18

Aw that’s brilliant news @CharlieD2020!! I bet you’re over the moon! I’m 7+5 so we’re around the same time. I’ve got my midwife appointment a week tomorrow. Feeling real
now!

lucymagoo · 08/10/2020 13:22

Amazing @CharlieD2020! I've got my scan tomorrow at 7+5 and so nervous/excited. I bet you're so relieved

CharlieD2020 · 08/10/2020 22:30

Thanks @bloomety and @lucymagoo! :) it was so lovely just to see him or her! Feel like it helps us bond too! Knowing babys heart is beating just feels so surreal and lovely.

Ooh exciting @lucymagoo! Hope it all goes really well tomorrow. Let us know Flowers

And yay @bloomety! If its like my booking appt with midwife yesterday, you will come out with your pregnancy folder!!

mouldygrapes · 09/10/2020 07:52

That’s wonderful @CharlieD2020! Congratulations

Good luck for your scan today @lucymagoo. Mine is on Sunday 🤞🏼
