Welcome @LTimm27! I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your little boy in May Flowers I can't imagine. Lovely to have you join the group and hear hear, here is to a very special 2021 for all of us x

CharlieD2020 · 06/10/2020 15:18

Has anyone else seen that Boris Johnson has just said social distancing will end by October 2021? Later than I'm sure any of us would like, but at least it means we should only have 5 months of social distancing with a newborn and can then hopefully enjoy baby groups and things much more easily from Oct 2021?

mouldygrapes · 06/10/2020 15:25

Gosh I hope so @CharlieD2020 but I think he’s making it up on the fly! Unless he’s got a crystal ball. I was reading something about some mother & baby groups being allowed to go ahead with small numbers and distancing, not ideal but maybe better than nothing.

Welcome @LTimm27. I’m so very sorry about your little boy. I hope this pregnancy is going OK so far. Will you get any extra scans for reassurance?

lucymagoo · 06/10/2020 15:28

@CharlieD2020 yeah he has no way of knowing and backtracks on everything he says so I'm not taking it seriously. I think places are adapting and running smaller groups as @mouldygrapes says. Will just have to wait it out and see how things go I think

CharlieD2020 · 06/10/2020 15:37

That's true @lucymagoo and @mouldygrapes, none of us have a crystal ball do we, but I hope social distancing can end around then. Never been so craving hugs!

LTimm27 · 06/10/2020 15:54

@mouldygrapes hey, thank you. Me and my husband have booked an private early scan together on Thursday. Last pregnancy I had numerous visits to the EPU alone, we have decided if we have bad news we are together and can support one another, instead of me being alone. Thanks x

Trousersareoverrated · 06/10/2020 16:30

I was very worried about a lot of brown discharge I’ve been having so booked an early scan. Thought I was 7+3 but I’m measuring 8 weeks and there is a heartbeat. Such a relief.

Littlebee1990 · 06/10/2020 21:38

Anyone else feeling the same!? 🤣🙈
Only thing stopping me feeling sick is eating every few hours, I feel huge already from sausage rolls, belvitas and anything else beige 🤣

Is anyone else due on the 22nd may 2021?
LTimm27 · 06/10/2020 22:37

@Littlebee1990 I am having some really weird cravings as well as sickness in the morning and tea time :(
I’ve been drinking Beef Oxo cubes in a mug with black pepper and a dash of Henderson’s Relish (the northern and better version of Lea Perrins).

I’m just putting it down to being northern thing 😂 anyone else having weird cravings?

bloomety · 07/10/2020 09:55

I just need to eat pretty much constantly or I feel sick. I had to get up and eat a digestive last night as I woke at 2am and couldn’t get back to sleep I was so hungry. I’ve had toast this morning but had to call to Greggs for a sausage sandwich and hot chocolate as I was starving!! I’m still hungry now. It never stops! It’s weird as it’s queasiness but hunger as well. In the past if I’ve felt sick I’ve not felt like eating.

mouldygrapes · 07/10/2020 10:01

@Trousersareoverrated that’s wonderful news. Congratulations.

I’m being a bit panicky as symptoms seem to be fluctuating a bit. I know that can be normal but it’s so hard to be rational!! Not feeling as sick which is good but not if it makes me anxious that something is wrong.
Early scan is on Sunday 🤞🏼Also I did have my acupuncture yesterday so maybe that’s why the sickness is a bit better

mouldygrapes · 07/10/2020 10:19

I haven’t taken any of the anti sickness tablets yet

bloomety · 07/10/2020 11:07

My symptoms keep coming and going too @mouldygrapes. I’m sure your scan on Sunday will put your mind at rest.

I’ve just been discharged by the EPU. I’m measuring 7+4 which is bang on from when I ovulated. So I’m happy. Although I do have a 4.5cm cyst in my right ovary (where I ovulated) which explains the right hand side pain I keep getting. She said it’ll likely burst on its own and be gone by my 12 week scan.

lucymagoo · 07/10/2020 11:08

I'm the same @mouldygrapes but I think it's more learning what works and how to stop it which I didn't know in the first week or two, I am feeling slightly better today and yesterday because I am eating smaller regular meals.

I also felt better for 1 day last week and then worse than ever the next day so trying to just enjoy the days I feel better! 😂

RustyCat · 07/10/2020 11:56

@mouldygrapes I am the same. My symptoms have more or less gone bar having sore boobs. I get the odd wave of nausea mostly in the evenings tbh but it's not horrific. It seems a lot of people are getting very minimal symptoms so I'm hoping I'm one of them and all is normal.

@bloomety that's fantastic news about the scan and your measurements. It's also good that you know why you've been having the pain on one side. I do hope the cyst doesn't cause you any more discomfort!!

Sophi123 · 07/10/2020 12:11

Just to add to this convo, I have also got very minimal symptoms over the last week and have been driving myself crazy with worry. I had some early bleeding/pain but had a good scan at EPU last week at 6w4d and saw a little heartbeat. Trying to remain positive, but is hard - been contemplating booking another private scan at 9 weeks, but not sure if OTT or not. Friends keep telling me I should just be grateful not to be vomming!

CharlieD2020 · 07/10/2020 12:52

Hi ladies. My symptoms have also eased off over the last few days, I feel less nauseous. Hoping all is well and just feeling grateful for each day as it comes and baby hopefully grows well. I am also constantly hungry @bloomety!

I had my booking in appt today and all feeling more real! My blood pressure is low - 91/51 so that will explain my dizziness. We have a strong family history of pre-eclampsia so I figure if I have a lower blood pressure to start with, that can only be a good thing!

Private scan tomorrow...

bloomety · 07/10/2020 13:04

Oh that’s exciting. My booming scan is next Friday.

I’ve just been to KFC and got a fillet tower meal. Was still hungry so now at McDonald’s munching a double cheeseburger. I don’t think I’ll be a size 10 for long with this appetite! Greggs for breakfast as well... Blush

bloomety · 07/10/2020 13:05

I mean to say, I have low blood pressure too @CharlieD2020 and I’m always dizzy when I stand up. I’m so breathless walking up the stairs.

mouldygrapes · 07/10/2020 13:06

Thank you all for your reassurance! I’m so glad we have this thread.
I shouldn’t have spoken so soon - sickness has flared up at work 😬

lucymagoo · 07/10/2020 15:08

It's very reassuring to see us all feeling weirdly better these past few days. I just got off the phone with the doctor who prescribed some cyclizine to help, which is good news Smile

Littlebee1990 · 07/10/2020 15:44

You’re all making me feel so much better, I can’t stop eating, the only time I don’t feel sick is when I’m eating. Woke up and had some cereal and then 2 hours later a belvita.. then a grill up for lunch and now 2 hours later I’m munching on crisps and already dreaming of dinner. No wonder my jeans no longer fit 🤣

bloomety · 07/10/2020 16:00

Hahahaha @Littlebee1990 snap! Your day sounds much healthier than mine though. I’ll need to make something healthy for tea.

I’m going to keep digestives on my bedside cabinet for when I wake up. I can’t cope with the hunger in the night.

lucymagoo · 07/10/2020 16:04

Oh I've only been eating bread 😂 bagels and sourdough and attempting to eat some fruit (with bread) for breakfast but not always succeeding

mouldygrapes · 07/10/2020 16:07

I just downed a massive tub of pineapple but that’s the first fruit I’ve had in ages! It’s been mostly beige foods - trying to eat more soup with veggies but I just want pasta
