Looking for someone to chat too? I'm due on 22nd of may by the online calculators.

Just wanted to speak with someone who's just found out their expecting too?

Feeling very anxious due to previously having misscarriages

Welcome to the new joiners!

@Jlw2020
You can discuss medication with your GP even if it’s “just” nausea and not vomiting, doesn’t hurt to ask. I am much the same as you with predominantly retching, it’s awful. Sympathies.
I’m sorry I don’t know about Andrews salts.
I seem to have coped this weekend by mostly being asleep, thankfully nausea doesn’t wake me up so it’s a good respite but I can’t function like that during the week.

lucymagoo · 04/10/2020 14:27

Yeah I've exclusively eaten bagels for the past two days and slept more than ever. Dreading having to work tomorrow and appear human. 😭

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 04/10/2020 16:05

Ah @Catherinettc me too and I've only got a 10yo! Feel very full in my lower abdomen.

Ok I'm spotting again a tiny bit this afternoon but this time I have mild cramps. Going to sit here and hope it stops.
Otherwise will phone and see what epau say. Can't go to hospital and get seen til son is in bed tonight.
Would be easier to tell people. Think once we have our first scan which is probably Thurs at miscarriage clinic we will tell close people.
Am worrying now about these cramps. Feels like early period. Don't remember this from previous miscarriages though, they were all either massive cramps or red blood to start.

Serz88 · 04/10/2020 16:26

We have a heartbeat!!!!!!
SOO happy :D

lucymagoo · 04/10/2020 16:36

Congrats @Serz88 such great news!!

Jlw2020 · 05/10/2020 07:09

@SweetpeaOrMarigold thank you I’d not heard of this before? It sounds exactly like what’s happening to me except I’m not physically sick! I can’t believe how poorly I feel and I thought it was just being a baby 🙈 x

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 05/10/2020 09:02

@Jlw2020 I did the same the first time and finally went to the GP when I couldnt even keep sips of water down. He wanted to phone an ambulance to take me to hospital but I'd got my dad to give me a lift to the gp (less than a mile) because I felt so ill. They gave me IV fluids and injections of anti-emetics until I was well enough to take them orally. Deffo get treated sooner rather than later, its absolutely miserable

lucymagoo · 05/10/2020 09:21

Agreed @SweetpeaOrMarigold @Jlw2020 don't wait that late! I haven't gotten out of bed all weekend and feel so poorly, but haven't actually been sick. I have a doctors appointment over the phone on Wednesday to try and get something to make it a little easier

mouldygrapes · 05/10/2020 10:22

How’s the cramping today @SweetpeaOrMarigold? Hope you’re doing ok.

@lucymagoo glad you’ve got an appointment. We’re not allowed to book them directly as the surgery are doing e-triage, so am just waiting for them to contact me back

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 05/10/2020 12:09

No bleeding or cramps today thanks @mouldygrapes. Am in bed because I'm on nights tonight. No idea how I will cope and don't want to tell everyone yet!

mouldygrapes · 05/10/2020 13:58

Ah that’s great news @Serz88! Sorry I missed your previous message

Glad to hear it @SweetpeaOrMarigold. Good luck for your night shifts!

Lovely GP has just called and prescribed Stemetil so I’m off to collect. Also seems I’ve finally got a booking appt at 10 weeks, hallelujah! Altho they’ll probably send a letter to my old address because god knows it can’t always go smoothly 🤦🏽‍♀️

Jlw2020 · 05/10/2020 20:03

@lucymagoo @SweetpeaOrMarigold thank you for the advice, after another horrendous night of retching for an hour in bed last night and waking me up at 5 for another few hours of retching on all fours I called my surgery, GP called back within the hour - I’m collecting my cyclizine in the morning 😍 had my booking apt today too and my veins were hard to find apparently and they said it’s often the case when managing poor sickness and dehydration so definitely done the right thing! I’m really hopeful I might be able to manage a meal soon! 🤞🏼

Jlw2020 · 05/10/2020 20:08

@mouldygrapes sorry I’ve just seen your message from yesterday! See above - I’ve caved and I’m getting some meds tomorrow 🥰 thanks all for the nudge, I felt like I was being weak but I agree now no need to suffer unnecessarily.

mouldygrapes · 05/10/2020 20:48

@Jlw2020 no worries! Really glad you got something and hope it does help!
I got stuck at work and the pharmacy closed early so didn’t get my tabs but will do tomorrow. And also acupuncture which helps

lucymagoo · 05/10/2020 21:08

Well done on getting a prescription @Jlw2020 I've heard good things about that one please let us know how you get on with it.
I'm concerned I won't get one because I'm not being sick I just feel about 10% of what I normally do, it's really tough but if I'm not throwing up I'm worried they'll say just deal with it. I really can't spend more weeks like this

Jlw2020 · 05/10/2020 21:45

@mouldygrapes thanks, that’s interesting not heard about acupuncture.

@lucymagoo I’ve not been sick, I’m dying to be sick for the relief but they gave me it after I explained over the phone what’s been going on, how long and often I keel over retching, brought spots of blood up yesterday from scratching my throat with it! I’m dehydrated still though as unfortunately everything I manage to it passes through at an alarming rate the next morning. I’m hoping to get some relief from the tablets so I can try eat something solid and try get on with it 🙂

lucymagoo · 05/10/2020 21:55

Ah okay @Jlw2020 sounds like we're in the same horrible boat. I've just weighed myself and I've lost nearly half a stone in the past week just from not being able to eat more than a few bites of anything.
Trying to stick to fruit and veg with dry slices of bread in between where needed

SweetpeaOrMarigold · 06/10/2020 03:25

I'm weighing myself too and entering all my food on my fitness pal. Its telling me off every day for such low calories but I'm not doing it on purpose!

Littlebee1990 · 06/10/2020 09:38

Hey ladies
Just had my final check in at EPU after the scare 2 weeks ago. Measuring at 8+1 now, the hematoma has shrunk and baby has a lovely strong heartbeat and they don’t need to see me again 😀 Going to try and relax now until the dating scan on 29th October.
Hope you all have a lovely day x

Jlw2020 · 06/10/2020 10:46

@Littlebee1990 That’s brilliant news what a relief! 🥰

lucymagoo · 06/10/2020 11:04

That's great, congrats @Littlebee1990 Grin

CharlieD2020 · 06/10/2020 13:36

Such wonderful news @littlebee1990 and so happy for you! GrinFlowers

I have my booking in appt tomorrow morning. I will be 7+2. Anyone know if I will find out any test results then and there? I've read they take a hormone test and urine test?

Littlebee1990 · 06/10/2020 13:42

Thanks ladies!
@CharlieD2020 I have my booking in appointment tomorrow also and just been told to go with medical history and got bloods the week after x

CharlieD2020 · 06/10/2020 14:01

Ahh okay I've not been booked in for any other appts yet, maybe they will book me in for bloods when I am there tomorrow! Hope your appt goes well! I'm still holding out that I might get an NHS early scan due to my increased chance of multiples. If not, I will be booking a private one tomorrow for asap :)

LTimm27 · 06/10/2020 14:29

Hey - thought I would join here if that’s ok. I have found I am pregnant again for the 3rd time (second time this year). Currently have a happy 4 year old. Sadly I lost my son at 16 weeks and 5 days in May during lockdown. This was due to a blood clot in the placenta, after the post mortem we found he was healthy which was harder to come to terms with. By calculations I should be due again 1st May. Sending best wishes and love to everyone expecting! Hoping 2021 is the best year.

Thanks Lucie x
